Okay, I understand but try and be stable. Instead of having multiple stories, just start one and complete it first before moving to another one, it will be more better that way.

TIP: To avoid issues of writer's block, ensure you finish writing your story before starting it on Nairaland. At that point, the stress of having to write will be off your shoulders, all you'll be doing will be copy and paste.

Nice Story you gat going kiss kiss kiss

Hmmm. I'm done with all my stories. Even udene. I've been writing the story ever since. It's just that I was having double mind publishing.

Even the ones I'm yet to publish on nairaland. The audience just scares me, you know. Sometimes I just leave my manuscripts in a box and hope someday I'll get to publish them.

And... thank you. I'm really grateful, dear wink

The wrapper tied around the Prince’s legs pulled off as Queen Apunanwu made to put it back. “He has been like this, my King. What shall we call this?”
“Maybe the White men know what it is,” King Oghala set out to call the men. They came forth and listened to what the King had to say. “Please, you must help the Prince. My son! I do not know what terrible plague has befallen us.” The King cried.
The five were taken to where the Prince laid; one knelt beside him and took a bottle out of his bag.
“What is that?”
The man, Kingston, turned back and said to the King. “An antidote,”
“What is an antidote?”
Another of the men replied, “It’s used for healing,”
“A remedy?” Queen Apunanwu asked.
“…to counteract the effects of poison,” they further explained.
The King and Queen let him do his job, as they waited patiently for the remedy to work. They were asked to let the Prince rest for a while. “It will help,” said the men.

The Prince got well and the King asked the guards to bring the White men to him. He was pleased, that he let them stay. But it wasn’t for long. Not when a terrible wind blew.
“My King, the prince is dead! Our son is dead!” Queen Apunanwu, the Prince’s mother, cried, holding her chest. She shed bitter tears, telling the King to hurry, that something horrible has happened.
“The Prince?” King Oghala sprang up from the throne. He rushed to the Prince’s hut, seeing their son lying on the cold floor. The Prince had rolled out of his mat when he was struggling; his father looked up to the clouds and gave a loud yell.

***

After the Prince’s death, the King sought for an heir—then another tragedy befell. The royal household was in mourning once more, for the death of Queen Apunanwu, who had died mysteriously, two months after her son—
“What shall we call this, Your Highness?” The elders of Uduje had gathered, for they had heard of the terrible loss. “First it was the Prince,” one said.
“Our Prince Icheka… now the Queen!” One by name ‘Chief Odume’ added.
“If I may, Your Highness,” Chief Nkemma spoke amidst them. “Those strange men you let in… how sure are we that they are not the cause?”
King Oghala reasoned.
The other elders joined hands and agreed with the Chief who had spoken. “How sure?”

CHAPTER ONE- They say there is a thin line between sanity and insanity.it just takes a little spark at the wrong place to cross to the other side. This was my line of thought as i sat butt naked on the cold cement floor with my hands and legs bound with strong ropes bought from all those hausa boys at swali market.the putrid smell of urine that emanated from the corner of the church made my uncomfortable but the people that put me here weren't concerned about my comfort.so i had to shift from here to there with the little space i was provided but this men and women clad in white garments, holding little rods in their hands(with diff symbols on it) just wouldn't let me be.they danced and chanted in languages i could not understand, maybe they were speaking in tongues, but i doubt it.
Okay. I just imagined you butt naked... WHAThuh

Lol. Just kidding. Love your story kiss

Yeah, it's quite frustrating. Even if it is 10k a month that a fiction writer makes consistently from his stories, it will still give him the encouragement to keep writing. But most Nigerian fiction writers make nothing from their works...even the ones that make money from their works, it is not consistent.

And those that make money from writing for others don't have fulfillment.
And that's why I wish to travel abroad. Cause I know this country isn't for me...

THE GILBERTS
{Prequel}

Racing horses lifted sand in the air as angry grunts raced alongside. Father and son, both of them. They were horse riding, the former emerging the victor.
“I told you I’d win, Stefan,”
“You know I can beat you anytime, father,” said the lad.
“What is it then?” The long auburn-haired asked.
“My mind just isn’t here…”
“A woman?”
The boy turned. “For God’s sake, father, women aren’t my concern. Have you heard of the attack?”
“The attack on the province?”
“Yes, father. That one.”
His father got down from his horse.
There have been so many attacks—ones caused by vampires, and werewolves!
“Come, let me show you something,” his father beckoned—
“You know, the Gilberts have a family journal that has been passed down for many generations…”
Stefan walked with him.
“Won’t call it a journal, though,”
“But you said…”
“What I said doesn’t matter!” Stevan barked.
Stevan was a forty-eight years old man, who was a healer. Healers were considered great at that time—thus powerful and could help mankind. Stevan was a Gilbert witch, though it was uncommon. He was among the first... he was known far and wide.
“The Gilberts journal,” Stevan pursed his lips for a moment and made for the library at the back. His son walked with him; he had no choice. They got to the library and rummaged on every shelf, as the title stood imprinted in bold letters. ‘THE GILBERTS.’
“Is this it?” Stefan snickered. The book looked really old, and was dusty, that he could hardly see the sides.
“Here,” Stevan handed him the book. “Open it.”
His son did as he was told, and a light shone from it. “What the…?”
“You’ve been chosen…”
“Chosen for what?” Stefan quickly broke in.
“The five…”
He understood not a thing. “What’s the five?”
“You mean ‘Who’ rather?” Stevan replied. “They were hunters,” he started, “vampire hunters!”
Stefan followed him. A new generation has risen after the old, this he got to know, no one in the Gilberts family has ever been chosen...
“So you mean to tell me that the book has chosen me?”
“Yes.”
“But how come the Gilberts family has never been chosen for?”
“No one knows,”
Stefan paused.
Heaving, he asked, “Do Vampire hunters get to practice witchery?”
Stevan shook his head.
Stefan was torn to know he’d never practice magic again; he bowed his head and left in sadness.
