Wao!!! do you know you can now send free sms to all networks in Nigeria using your mtn, glo or etisalat line? yes it is true and best of all you do not need any software or tweaks!!! want to send sms and you dont have money on your phone, i mean even if it is zero naira? this is what to do: MTN: MTN has a service called mtn collect sms that allows you send sms to other mtn suscribers even if your credit balance is zero naira. All you need to do is send your sms to 38701 and add your friend's number. For example, if you want to send a message to 07034554516, simply send the message to 3870107034554516. HOW IT WORKS: How it works is very simple. once you send the message to 3870107034554516, 07034554516 will receive an sms from 38700 notifying him/her that he/she has a message from you. He is required to reply YES to the sms/notification from 38700. On replying yes to the sms/notification, the normal sms charge normally N5 will be automatically deducted from his account and he will now receive your message same way as if it was sent with credit from your phone. Great isn't it? GLO GLO similarly operates a service called Glopay4me. All you need to do is simply type your message and send to1462+glo number. Example, simply type your message and send to 146208051234567 if you want to send a free message to 08051234567. It has been finally confirmed that the examinations of Rivers state polytechnic scheduled to hold on Monday 22nd April and Tuesday 23rd April have been postponed. The reasons for the postponement are not clear as the notice pasted on the school's notice board and at the security gates does not specify any reasons. It only states that management has approved that the examinations scheduled for the above dates be postponed till the end of the examinations. The school started its first semester examinations for the 2012/2013 academic session on Monday 8th April 2013. Adopting its pattern of one day for management and next day for engineering, both management and engineering students of the institution have written several papers and many students have been counting days to the end of the examination. Many people have already calculated the day they will travel out of the school and relax at home to eat well cooked meals normally called "mama thank you" Although the reasons for the postponement were not given by school management, success secrets has it on good authority that the postponement may not be unconnected with FULL GIST ON THIS HERE:http://successsecrets01..com/2013/04/rivers-state-polytechnic-examinations.html |
worldman: Where in Bori did it happenit happened in engineering campus rivpoly. As i type this reply, there are still broken glass pieces at electrical hnd1 class |
Rivers state Polytechnic started its exams on Monday 8th April, 2013. As usual, the alternation pattern was adopted. In this pattern, management students will write today while engineering students will write the next day and this alternating pattern will continue until the exams are over. As is the custom with some churches and fellowships, Sundaythe7th of April featured several anointing services to call on God for favour, drive away the spirit of failure and break evil causes. Success pens were distributed to students as well at this services.I was personally present at the deeper life bible church anointing service while some close friends went to church of God mission, chapel of Jesus Christ, etc. THE PANDEMONIUM At about few minutes to 3am on tuesday morning, while the students were very busy reading and some have slept off to cool off their brain, their was sudden panic as those who were awake said they heard an extremely loud thud! others said they heard someone shouting ghost, ghost, while still others said they could see and feel the building falling down on them. whatever was the cause of the pandemonium, the result is better imagined than told. Students who were scrambling for safety broke glasses, jumped through the windows, pushed and pulled on the steps and at the door. There was serious pandemonium and people sustained various degrees of injuries. Some people had broken head, broken leg and or hands, various degrees of glass cuts, lost as well as broken teeth, etc. People woke up from sleep and joined the stampede only to sustain injuries. Many of the wounded were taken to the school's medical centre where the nurses on duty attended to them while the school's ambulance brought in the doctor who stitched some serious wounds and attended to the fairly serious cases. As at the time of writing this post, there was no casualty report. My friends sustained different categories of injuries. Personally, my vickers chinos was torn and i had a very minor cut which did not require medical attention. Nigeria vrs Ivory coast match has raised much controversy with fear and panic as the order of the day. So many people have already lost faith in Nigeria condemning them as the sure losers. Personally i was disappointed with the lackluster performance of Nigeria against Ethiopia because i did not see the 'fight' and seriousness i expected. However, Nigeria is my country and i remain a fan of green white green. Can you predict the score line? For me it is NIGERIA 2: IVORY COAST 1 UP NAIJA!! UP NAIJA!!!! UP NAIJA!!!!! It is very important that you understand the effects of food on drugs and drug side effects as well as time of action of the drug. Do you remember the doctor/pharmacist giving you drugs then instructing- "to be taken with food", 'take before meal', 'take 3hours after meal', etc? A these instructions highlight the important relationshp between drugs and your food as well as drug absorption and drug side effect. For example, The benefits of taking certain drugs with or after food include · reduced side effects of the drugs (e.g. less stomach discomfort from some anti-inflammatory pains killers when taken after meals) · enhancing the drugs effects and actions because of enhanced absorption On the other hand taking certain drugs without food can lead to harmful effect which include · increased frequency and severity of side effects · decreased or delayed effects and actions of drugs Because of their different properties, the Pharmacist may also advise that certain drugs be taken on an empty stomach or away from meals so as to enhance their effect and safety. NAFDAC has come out to publicly disassociate itself from the claims by the dean of school of basic medicine, university of Benin, Professor Isaiah Ibeh, who claimed that he has found the cure for HIV/AIDS through his natural medicine Deconcuction X (DX)–Liquid or Bioclean 11. The Uniben professor who said the research started in 2010 claimed that he has found the cure for HIV/AIDS which has passed through the necessary scientific process.Professor Ibeh, had earlier told reporters in Benin that the herbal drug had undergone “series of successful tests”.He said more volunteers were undergoing treatment and that the efficacy of the medication, a herbal product, has been reviewed by US Toxicologists. However, the director general (DG) of NAFDAC, Doctor Paul Orhii who addressed a news conference in Abuja said Professor Ibeh’s herbal drug has never been presented to the agency for an evaluation of its efficacy and safety adding that the bogus claim by Professor Ibeh is capable of misleading the public especially those that have HIV/AIDS infection. He reminded people that similar claims have been made in the past by the likes of Dr. Jeremiah Abalaka and Bondima Young of Bondima Hepatoviral Centre, Jos. He recalled that in the case of Bondima Young, that the agency's officials were shocked at what they saw remarking that he even used one needle to inject multiple people causing more infections! MORE HERE:http://successsecrets01..com/2013/01/why-did-nafdac-disassociate-itself-from.html In my humble opinion, i think the right thing the agencies should have done is to get the drug and test it then make the correct information available to Nigerians and indeed the world instead of filling the news with headlines of not being a party to the claim. Or am i wrong? Maybe i forgot that HIV/AIDS is a big business. What do you think? |
The Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Tuesday confirmed The PUNCH’s story that the Federal Government’s subsidy account with the Central Bank of Nigeria was empty, blaming the situation on technical hitches in the documentation with the CBN. Okonjo-Iweala, while briefing journalists in Abuja, said the transfer of funds meant for fuel subsidy payments from the excess crude dollar account to its naira equivalent accounted for the empty account. She explained that the documentation and conversion process, which is between the Ministry of Finance and the CBN, usually takes between four to five days to accomplish. She said if the amount had been in the naira excess crude account, the process of payment would not have been delayed for that long. Believe me, Napoleon Hill’s Think and grow rich is a book like no other. It is in a class by itself. I strongly recommend it to everyone for them to read and re- read. If you can study and apply the principles in this book, you are bound to be lifted to a new estate in your life. This book will naturally stimulate and propel you to success if you can apply its principles. Read these random quotes from this phenomenal author of a phenomenal book 1. Every human being who reaches the age of understanding of the purpose of money wishes for it. Wishing will not bring riches. But desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes an obsession, then planning definite ways and means to acquire riches and backing those plans with persistence which does not recognize failure will bring riches. 2. All achievements, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea 3. Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. 4. Both poverty and riches are the offspring of thought 5. Thoughts are things and powerful things at that when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence and a burning desire for their translation into riches or other material objects. 6. One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat 7. Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping someone when success is almost within reach 8. There are no limitations to the mind except those we accept 9. Understand that accumulation of money cannot be left to chance and good luck 10. No one is doomed to bad luck 11. Knowledge will not attract money unless it is organized and intelligently directed through practical plans of action to the definite end of accumulation of money 12. If the thing you wish to do is right, and you believe in it, go ahead and do it! Put your dream across and never mind what they say if you meet with temporary defeat for they perhaps do not know that every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success Please note: Think and grow rich is not a book of quotes. These are lines I love which I underlined while reading. This is less than a surface look at what this book contains. You must read this book. Well i think my case was very funny. I was attending my date's convocation and i wanted more cash. I decided to withdraw at the campus of her school. I slotted my card and typed the amount i needed only to wait forever and no cash came out. i got so angry and started sweating because i was angry. I kept on pressing cancel and regrets set in. But finally my card came out though very hot. I used another atm there to withdraw. Funny enough something happened there that made me need the cash and it would have been most embarrassing if i did not withdraw the cash. To learn how to protect yourself from ATM card theft and the methods they use read this post: https://www.nairaland.com/1014814/how-prevent-fraud-atm-retreive |

The God that brought you to this year has a purpose for you and will definitely accomplish that glorious purpose in your life. Amen. We studied under thesame master, we played in thesame games and in neither the studies nor the games did you out shine us. And in the years since, you have been no more of an honourable citizen than we nor have you worked harder or more faithfully in so far as we can judge. The level of unemployment in this country keeps on soaring everyday as more and more graduates receive (I deliberately avoided using 'earn' ) their degrees and diplomas only to join the unemployment queue. This is why i remember at a seminar i attended some time ago, the speaker said that graduates are so eager to write job tests that they will ask two women discussing about pregnancy test the venue of the test! The report by Professor Jega about the number of applicants for the INEC jobs advertised is a testimony to this fact. The Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, on Thursday said 800,000 people applied for the 1,500 vacancies in the commission. Jega, who made this known during an African Independent Television programme, denied an allegation that the commission had secretly recruited people to fill the posts which he said were well advertised in national newspapers. The INEC chairman also flayed de-registered political parties which accused the commission of acting a script written by the Peoples Democratic Party. He said the allegation was not only uncharitable, but also insulting to him and other commissioners in INEC. Explaining the commission’s ongoing recruitment exercise, he said the commission was fair and acted according to the law. According to him, apart from advertising in several newspapers, the advertisements were posted in state and local government electoral offices. MORE ON THIS HERE:http://successsecrets01..com/2012/12/800000-applied-for-1500-inec-jobs-jega.html I think there is need for all of us to think again. Something must be done. What can i do? What can you do? |
Waoo!!!!!! It's that time of the year again when celebration is in the air. It 's the season of love ans gifts...but wait...It is also that time of the year when criminal elements are very active. Of course, they too want to celebrate and 'flex' too. Success secrets is all about success secrets in anything you can think of and that is why we here to present to you SECURITY ADVISORY FOR THE YULETIDE SEASON: HOW TO STAY SAFE!!!. Read, learn, apply and enjoy the season....Seasons greetings Nigeria!!! Please be guided by the following tips: I. Personal Security - Keep a low profile, blend in and be alert of developments in your environment - Avoid known crime prone areas/hot spots in your home towns/states - Avoid routine pattern of movements and late night outings - Avoid undue exposure, inclusive of your family members II. Financial Transactions - Keep all information concerning financial transactions strictly confidential – don’t discuss in the open - Avoid carrying large sums in cash, do not carry black polythene or brown envelopes, they may attract criminals. - Avoid physical transactions that require large sums in cash - use cheques and electronic money transfers - Use ATMs only in safe and well lit places III. Travel Security - Always pre-plan your journey and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition - Discuss travel details only with immediate family members - Avoid night driving, and make less use of your high value cars that easily mark you out as a potential target - Stick to major routes and avoid lonely routes with bad roads and poor visibility - Don’t give ride to strangers, including persons dressed in uniforms, as they may be criminals in disguise - Beware of techniques used by criminals to force unsuspecting victims to stop It is also established that motorists are most vulnerable when: - Waiting for the gates to be opened for them at residences - Driving through a terribly bad spot that requires slowing down completely with little chance of escape or when parked on a spot along less-busy-roads without alighting from the car IV. Social Outings - Always let close family members be aware of your movements - Avoid late outings unless it is absolutely necessary (even then ensure you are accompanied) - Avoid crowded places - Always take your mobile phone with you, in the event you need to make emergency calls However, in the likely event of an attack or incident, please remember the following: - The general rule is "NEVER" attempt to run - DO NOT resist or panic, just stay calm and cooperate - AVOID eye-to-eye contact with the assailants, but respond to instructions and questions calmly. - Don't make sudden movements without first seeking their permission - e.g. unfastening your seat belt as they may misconstrue your intention - Implore them not to use their weapons as you will cooperate fully - Focus your energy on survival, maintaining self respect and dignity - Inform them if you have any medical condition - Request to speak with your relatives, close associates, and give them the facts unemotionally - Don't attempt to call the Police when it is not safe to do so - Report to the nearest police station and company security control room when it is safe to do so. http://successsecrets01..com/2012/12/security-advisory-for-yuletide.html |
Amidst mixed feelings amongst some of its members, Senate Thursday passed into an Act the request by President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday for an additional N161, 617,364,911 as fuel subsidy payment in the 2012 budget framework. The approval came from the upper chamber after the second reading of the bill for an Act to authorise the issue of appropriation of the request from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation to provide for the supplementary payment of fuel subsidy. The Senate eventually passed it in view of its emergency nature, as observed by Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Abdul Ningi. In their contributions, Ningi, and Senators Ganiyu Solomon, who is a member of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Ahmed Lawan and Gbenga Kaka, said they were constrained to support President Jonathan’s request for the additional money which they said would be used to offset the fuel subsidy payment. Chika Unigwe:$100,000 Ebube Essien-Garricks: N64,000,000 Amarachi Uyanne: N10,000,000 I have followed with keen interest the recent winning of millions by Nigerian young women including an eight year old girl. The first was Chika Unigwe who is the author on everyone’s lips. The Belgium based, Nigerian born author recently won the LNG Nigeria Prize for Literature for her novel: On Black Sisters street, which portrayed the lives of Nigerian prostitutes living abroad. The prize is a whooping $100,000 and in a recent interview with the vanguard she confessed: "What will you do with the $100,000 prize money? I have absolutely no idea."
