Obviously most Lagosians did not prefer Jimi considering that even his neighbors chose Ambode over him. When a man loses his own unit that shows you he isn't as popular as he would have people believe . Ambode a new comer to politics delivered not just his PU but the whole of Épé for both elections while Jimi who has been in politics for decades could not deliver even his PU ( during both elections)

The people who claimed to love Jimi are mostly the elite majority of whom were supporting him on Facebook and Twitter but had no PVCs and the ones who did couldn't even be bothered to come out. Ambode on the other hand had grassroot supporters who voted. Elections are not won with people claiming to love you with their mouths

I forsee them ignoring the Ibos and appointing the hausa elite in their next cabinet. Hausas are present in huge numbers in lagos yet they've been given no political appointments and neither have the Hausas complained about this. Hausas are also known not to joke with the civil responsibility of voting. Unlike other tribes, they will leave everything at stake to register for voters card and also turn out in huge numbers on the voting day.
