Politics › Re: Robert Mugabe At It Again by bamidele029: 11:58pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
He is right, the SAs are cowards. However he should ask himself why they would not dare to burn a single American. As long as ones country is crap, the world will treat you like crap. That's why I'm happy things will be better in Nigeria now, so people will start respecting us more outside. Why haven't most of the black foreigners left even though it's not like they are living such a good life in SA? Why would one risk his/ her life to stay as a gardener, maid or such in SA instead of going back home It's simple ,they believe their quality of life back in their countries will be even worse |

Politics › Re: Lagos State Governorship Elections. Where Did Jimi Agbaje Go Wrong? by bamidele029: 9:10am On Apr 14, 2015 |
Obviously most Lagosians did not prefer Jimi considering that even his neighbors chose Ambode over him. When a man loses his own unit that shows you he isn't as popular as he would have people believe . Ambode a new comer to politics delivered not just his PU but the whole of Épé for both elections while Jimi who has been in politics for decades could not deliver even his PU ( during both elections) The people who claimed to love Jimi are mostly the elite majority of whom were supporting him on Facebook and Twitter but had no PVCs and the ones who did couldn't even be bothered to come out. Ambode on the other hand had grassroot supporters who voted. Elections are not won with people claiming to love you with their mouths |

He won because it's the will of God
For the person talking about Catholics and Igbo , so ? Muslims are pro APC and Yoruba Muslims are very many in Lagos, Yoruba traditional worshipers , he also has his own Church votes , Hausa voters and generally many Yorubas who were irritated by Jimi's tactics .
Jimi was beaten simple |

Ralphlauren: You are right.
APC has never joked with the block votes from minorities hence the reason why ibos are usually compensated with cabinet positions but with this ibo/agbaje nonsense, I'm sure they will be a serious rethink.
I forsee them ignoring the Ibos and appointing the hausa elite in their next cabinet. Hausas are present in huge numbers in lagos yet they've been given no political appointments and neither have the Hausas complained about this. Hausas are also known not to joke with the civil responsibility of voting. Unlike other tribes, they will leave everything at stake to register for voters card and also turn out in huge numbers on the voting day. Gbam, plus Hausas are not greedy . You will never hear a Hausa man saying Lagos is no man's land |

ihesiuloa: I quite agree with your comments but it must be noted that it wasn't agbaje that tore the unity lagosian enjoyed mind you this isn't his first time he is contesting for Lagos gubernatorial! He was only willing to serve if anyone was guilty of tearing Lagos apart it was the controversial oba who made the "famous hate speech" Was it the Oba who was sharing these around in Ogbo communities? Why do you think the Oba was angry? Jimi went around telling the Igbos he will turn them to Obas in Lagos and many other things indigenes found very offensive
