What he did was wrong no doubt, but there is a limit to what a MAN can tolerate, except he is a weak man. Actually it's a weak man that gets violent when "pushed" . One should never get violent except if it's self Defence, a strong man controls himself . Women beaters are cowards, those same guys meet men everyday at work, on the street etc that annoy and push them yet I assure you they don't go around fighting because they know they will probably get their asses kicked.

If they are real men, when a solider / police pushes" them they should retaliate

There are better alternatives that the child can pursue, issues like this happens in majority of naija households, the key is to not overreact. Even the woman in question went to church rather than fight for her cause. If anyone should call the police, it should be the wife and not the child. Children must know their role and play it!

A child who saves her father from hanging as a murderer and her mother from being killed and her siblings from being orphans will always be successful. The normal routes have already been explored with her calling older people and family members to talk to him but the man is threatening even those ones.
