Hello Guys...

I can emphatise with these travails as I have been on the 'payment will come in soon' trend too. In fact, I am on the verge of losing out on a deal.

However, we should see the bigger picture... It's a grant and not a right. We are simply lucky and should have a positive orientation. A lot of people would wish to wait for a whole year to get this opportunity.

We can use this extra time to review our plans in line with the current economic realities.

Get more learning. Do more research. Go for more trainings. Get more wisdom.

I buy your idea as well as that of sunylee1. He is also conscious of the fact that it is a grant and not a right that is why he said that we should "appeal" to the YouWiN! secretariat. If it is a right we will simply contact them expressing our utter disappointment. Let us all keep praying at this point so that they delay will NOT go beyond next week. Everybody is already adversely affected by the undue delay.

The undue delay has resulted in heavy casualty for so many awardee. How about farmers that their harvest season is even already over... What of those into poultry that needed to sell this Christmas, can they ever meet up with this Christmas? Those that want to start school first term is their cocoa season... and so on as so forth.

We all know that December is NOT a too good month to start business for so many people... January seem to be the worst month to start some businesses because people would have spent so much on festivity, traveling etc and people will always complaint of NO money... February when elections are in top gear is only good for printers and worst for most other businesses... I can continue with the analysis, but let me stop here.

The fact remains that from Monday for every passing day without alert... well we all know the consequences. Hence, the earlier they answer us the better from now, since we are already far behind schedule.

My major fear is even the present economic trend that is making government cutting down on some expenses. God will help us!

I will advise those who are putting in for YouWiN! 4 to create their own thread so that some of us can follow them to their thread new to help them FREE OF CHARGE. Their post on this thread is seriously distracting YouWiN! 3 discussion. Pls those concern should heed my advice and post the link to their thread here so that we can go there to help them and still have smooth unhindered discussion here. I know that you guys are very sensible, therefore am sure my advice is already taken. Thanks in advance for anticipated response.

Other awardees should check their email properly because from reliable source all YouWiN! 3 awardees are to be invited for the presidential launch holding this Mon 17th Nov. YouWiN! finally changed their mind and combined the Venture Capital Fund launch with YouWiN! 3 presidential lunch due to the answer to our out cry. So every YouWiN! awardee supposed to have received the invitation since yesterday. If it is not in your inbox check your bulk folder. Also the email they use to send it is "exhibition@youwin.org.ng. Can we call this confusion or negligence? They have NOT done presidential award lunch, no single boot camp for YouWiN! 3, yet they want to commission YouWiN! 4. November is already midway. Are we expected to start business in December? The worst month to start biz. Or January when people are looking for money everywhere or February when election is all over. We just have to embark on serious prayer and fasting at this juncture so that God can intervene and clear the confusion from the air. On a lighter mood... have they forgotten about YouWiN! 3? God forbid!

Vinxo, thanks for your commendation. True to my promise I was at Eagle Square to project only my group which is Nation Builders (We were one of the groups in green). Those who either were at Eagle Square or who watched it live on television, you all will bear me witness that nothing like YouWiN! was displayed either inside the Eagle Square or outside. It was only Mr President himself that mention YouWiN! while recounting the achievements of his administration. When his mentioned it where I was with my group we only applauded and some of us that are awardees both from 1, 2 and 3 all raised our hands in agreement. And just for emphasis: I, other members of my group and even anyone in Eagle Square DID NOT project YouWiN! either the name or the logo during Mr President's declaration yesterday. Once more thank you all for your contribution.

Did any of you have Triggers included for 'Jobs created' and 'Minimum monthly turnover'?
I don't have any on mine, but I remember people I know from last year had triggers for Tranche 3 on the sheet!

My fellow nairalanders u are all so wonderful! I read all your comments and they are captivating and mature. In view of the well constructed intellectual comments I have received from my fellow YouWiNers on this forum I have decided to heed to your advice. Therefore, I change my mind, despite the fact that I have done the banner I wanted to use, I will keep the banner and just go there on a neutral ground. Am NOT going to display any YouWiN! banner there. Thank u all for your comments. You are ALL wonderful people. Once more let me repeat. "In view of you comments I change my plan" I will only work for GoodLuck from the background because apart from the YouWiN! issue I believe in his transformation agenda. This is what I want 2 do: By Tuesday 11th Nov President GoodLuck will officially declare his intention to seek re-election. As an awardee I am going to print a big flex banner by tomorrow that will show appreciation to Mr President 4 his commitment to the empowerment of the youth through YouWiN! and I will inscribe on the banner boldly "YouWiN! Awardee say thank you for the YouWiN! Scheme" As at today I have received invitation to the declaration occasion, that means, I have been legally permitted to enter the venue.__________________
Pls those who will like to join me are welcome. Meaningful suggestions are welcome, but dont discourage me.

As for the presidential lunch, its on 25th of this month and it is also on the Youwin website when you check the arrow carrying dates below, on the right hand side of the page. I think they will send out mails to those qualified maybe a week before or some days before, you know its a sensitive journey because of the security issues happening in Nigeria, so they have to make arrangements to make sure hoodlooms don't penetrate Jonah's tent

You don dey see double. That date you are referring to (Nov 25th 2013) is the day this YouWiN 3 was declared opened. Check the website very well. No date for the Presidential Award Ceremony. Its still "To Be Confirmed" cheesy

Sunylee, you are NOT the only one. Any one doing registration with CAC for any business that requires proficiency certificate MUST have certificate to present. Either his own or go into partnership with someone who has the proficiency certificate. Your own name, passport and signature will come first before that of the person providing the proficiency certificate.

Sincerely, speaking I dont know how to advice you over this issue. I will only suggest that you wait to hear from those that will be going for validation tomorrow. I suspect that your validation is not tomorrow. I am also sure that you may not be the only new business that need this advice.

Be rest assured, there is solution because I know that YouWiN cannot drop anyone at this point because of proficiency certificate. After all they didnt make issue of proficiency certificate a criteria. All they demanded is any recognized certificate above school cert.

Just imagine, somebody assuming risking nine million naira (Because ONLY 1st tranche will be paid before election, which is about 10%). I beg no try thinking that kind of thing again!

GoodLuck done turn ALL OF US to his compulsory campaign managers. Pls either in the dream or reality always see GoodLuck winning with wide margin. I can risk any suspense.

Congratulations, Fellow Millionaires. It is certain that from now we can start expecting our congratulatory messages on been finally selected as YouWiN! final winners. Yes, we have gone a long way and YouWiN! admin cannot afford to delay any longer. I knew that the result CAN NOT be out before today in view of the survey. That is why I took vacation from Nairaland since then.

Now we can start expecting our Good News.

I want to believe that the email was sent to all that applied as new business and that attended the interview. Have you checked your spam mail as adviced?

Adulphus: My business is a new business and I have Register with the CAC but my frnf who has done the Same CAC Reg got the Survey mail.

obiscolly: I don't think there's any cause for alarm. I believe as with most surveys, only a sample population was chosen. It's an anonymous survey, so there's no way they can even know those who were part of it.

No. It is NOT an anonymous survey. Check it properly, you must input your YouWin universal ID before you can submit the survey.

I also heard that some people who completed their CAC reg form before the interview also got the email. That means it is strictly for all new business. A friend who registered as an existing business did NOT get the mail for the survey.
