EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by bamvik(m): 11:54am On Jan 05, 2019
Anthonyo15:
FACILITATION VS LECTURES

Though they maybe similar, But they have little differences.
Students, especially of national open university of Nigeria have often used the two words to mean the same

HERE ARE SOME POINTS TO NOTE AS DIFFERENCES, BETWEEN FACILITATION AND LECTURES.

1. Facilitation is to make easy or easier what you do not understand when you study.

2. Facilitation help bring about the main point in the courses you have studying

3. Facilitation helps students in academic discourse to share their thought about what they have read with other students to make the course more understandable.

4 Facilitation helps a group of students to have an effective dialogue and argument, the work of the facilitator is to help the students argument especially in other to reach a consensus without taking a side.

The main point of facilitation is to give students an ease of understanding of what they have studied

1.Lectures on the other hand is to give an exposition or to teach on a given topic to a group of people.

2.Lectures takes more time to establish the central point of the subject of discussion because they are used to convey critical informations.

3. lecturing include: quick exposure to new material, greater teacher control in the classroom, an engaging format, which may complement and clarify course material, and facilitating large-class communication.

4.Lectures is to give a serious talk to someone to criticize their behaviours or to advice them. Many times the criticism on a student's especially is to make the student a better person. And at times it can be to scold them.

So for national open university of Nigeria its facilitation not lectures. I write this short article to make students understand that they must study their course materials before attending facilitation for the ease of understanding and clarifying of course materials. this is the best way to go about facilitation.

I wish you all the best in your academic endeavours.
informative and good to know, thumbs up

TrueLEADER:
Here they are for me:

1. From the beginning to the very end of his career, as well as his exposure as the VP of this great country, Atiku has demonstrated beyond words or malice that he's a detribalized, all-embrasing and a people person. He has never been known to entertain nepotism, he's rather created strong relationship with every parts of this country and never religious-centric or an ethnic jingoist.

2. He has this personal crave for quality. He would rather bring in a very knowledgeable and expert to handle relevant project than submit it to family and friends. We all saw that happen when he was VP, that was the only and last time we saw new faces and young individuals appointed as ministers. Very competent non-politicians Manning relevant position in government. And if we dive into his business aspects, he has demonstrated that he would rather hand his business to people with capacities and competencies, than to his family and friend. He has zero tolerance for nepotism.

These two traits are all we need. The implications of which are that Once the president unify this nation, without 97% and 5% narrative, knowing that whether they voted for him or not, he's the president of all, then love can being to show the way. Secondly, our economy is bad because people like Adeosun, who lack knowledge of complex economy as ours, was foisted on us. Once competent hands are saddle with the appropriate offices, in no distance time, we will be on the bright side economically.

1: Atiku Obi are business men who knows how to drive the economy forward compared to Mr President & Vice who have no foundation in business. There will be economic growth in the long run.

2: PDP lost the previous election. If they have the chance, they will do things better because they won't want to to lose power again. Opposition is healthy. If not for opposition, Buhuari would've have continued his proxy government from London with no holds barred.

Shawnnn01:
A. For 16 years Nigeria’s budget was less than 4 trillion while crude sold at close to n over $100. Last year Buhari’s budget was 9 trillion while crude sold below $40. What does this tell you ?

PDP looting Nigeria under the table, accountants will explain that to you. Revenue never budgeted will never be accounted for, this implies PDP have always looted more than half of the national budget because it was never recorded or accounted for.

B. Buhari in less than 4 commissioned airport terminal in Abuja & PH, railway springing up here n there Ajaokuta rail Abuja rail Lagos etc. Now PDP claim he initiated all this but my reply the only airport terminal I am aware PDP initiated n commissioned in it 16 years of locust is the Owerri airport Stella Oduah upgrade to water n seaport.

We can all argue from now till tomorrow but what remarkable project did PDP initiate n complete in 16 years ? Pls name just one in 16 years. It was even Buhari that had to rebuild airport runway in Kaduna n Abuja in record time. PDP left Nigeria to rot away while it looted our destiny.

C. Buhari is not good he as destroyed the economy of Nigeria but I am yet to see a president that gave out loans to state governors in Nigeria right from 1960 till now. This Buhari inherited a govt that had to borrow money to pay federal civil service though the previous govt sold crude for over $100 while crude sold for around $40 when Buhari paid the salaries Jonathan was owing and also gave out bailout loans to states.

That tells you the magnitude of looting going on under the PDP, instead of Ebele to stop the looting by PDP n pay civil servants he simply watched helplessly as the treasury was plundered.

D. The reasons are endless but this will do for now
Pls i need jus two solid reasons thanks for your response

1. To continue building upon the growth already started and improve on it.

2. To prevent those that looted Nigeria mindlessly from returning back to continue were they stopped.

Summary:
Buhari's reelection is moving forward, making progress, tackling existing challenges, improving on current gains and preventing criminals from returning to power.
