The police in Louisiana has arrested an American advance
fee fraudster posing as a Nigerian prince.
The police in a Facebook post said the fake Nigerian prince
has duped hundreds of people across America using emails.
According to The Sacramento Bee, anyone with an email
address has likely gotten a message from the so-called
Nigerian prince or two offering hundreds of thousands, if
not millions, of dollars in secret inheritances or, in some
cases, payment for assistance laundering ill-gotten gains
from mining conglomerates or royal treasuries.
Police in Slidell, Louisiana, say they finally caught up with
one of the people behind some of those emails. He’s not
exactly Nigerian royalty, either, police wrote in a Facebook
post.
Michael Neu, 67, of Slidell, Louisiana, faces 269 counts of
wire fraud and money laundering following an 18-month
investigation, police wrote. They say Neu took part in
hundreds of financial transactions involving phone and
online scams to con money from people across the United
States.

An 18-year-old hairdresser, Theodora Ansah has had her neck slashed by her angry boyfriend, Raymond Boabey, a construction worker at Likpe Mate, a suburb of Hohoe in the Volta region.

The victim, who is a mother of two, a three-year-old and a one and half-year-old daughters, however, escaped death from a near butchering incidence.

The victims went into a fight with the boyfriend whom she is cohabiting with, around 7 pm yesterday after a fight which begun on 25th December over one piece of meat she served him.

According to Theodora, she didn’t have enough to prepare her Christmas meal so she served him rice with one piece of meat which the boyfriend wasn’t happy about, so he confronted her angrily and slapped her in the process and kicked the lady out of his home.

Burkina Faso is banning imports from North Korea to comply with UN sanctions, the AFP news agency quotes the government as saying. But an inquiry in October by the US - which has been pushing for tougher sanctions - found that Burkina Faso was still trading with North Korea. Highlife musician, Dada Kwakye Duah, widely recognized
as Dada KD has stated unequivocally that Ghanaians are
better singers than Nigerians.
Over the weeks, there have been several controversies
between some Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes on who
champions the highlife and hiplife genres.
But the veteran musician, speaking in an interview with
host Afia Amankwah Tamakloe on Adom TV’s Badwam
noted that, Ghanaians being the originators of the popular
highlife genre are better musicians than Nigerians.
He told Afia Amankwah that ‘Nigerians can’t sing better
than us. We even record better music when we are serious.’
He meanwhile rubbished public assertions that the highlife
genre is dead hence not profitable to pursue as an artiste.
Stressing on the matter, the ‘So mu Gye’ hitmaker said ‘my
heart aches when people say highlife is dead. It is never
dead.’
Asked what motivates him as a highlife musician, he said ‘I
am my own competition. I work better on my previous
songs to move on in the limelight.’

A group of 11 militiamen in the Democratic Republic of
Congo have been jailed for life for raping about 40
children, including at least one baby.The girls they raped
