EducationRe: Easy Way To Find The Square Of Number Between 1-100 By Heart by bandol(m): 7:29am On Jul 24, 2014
fxjones: hello fellow mathemacians,
just discover this while manipulating numbers, in class

how you quickly find the square of numbers without lifting a finger.

eg find the square of 15?

u can quickly do this without using calc or writing down

just say: 1*1+1 = 2
then find 5*5 = 25
lastly combine them together = 225

example 2

find the square of 25
again: 2*2+2 =6
then 5*5 again = 25
join them together = 625

example 3:

find the square of 75

again you say 7*7+7 = 56
and 5*5 = 25
finally join them together as we did before = 5625

this formula only work for numbers between 1-100 and the last number must end with 5

I will post the formula for other range: keep rocking!
Going by your formula, square of 10 and 11 would be:
10=
1*1+1=2
0*0=0
Puting it together we have 20 which is wrong
For 11 square
1*1+1=2
1*1=1
That is 21 wrong too

For 12 square
1*1+1=2
2*2=4
We hav 24 which is wrong again.
Can u justify this.
...U shouldn't have said for number 1-100, u would have said for some selected numbers endind in 5. D title is confusing. I just saw d note at †ђξ end of †ђξ post.

PoliticsEkiti Guber: Only Me Can Defeatfayemi, Says Fayose by bandol(op): 7:48pm On Jan 10, 2014
Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose said on Friday that among the governorship aspirants of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, seeking the party’s ticket to face Governor Kayode Fayemi in the next election, only him has all it takes to defeat the Ekiti helmsman.

He based his confidence on the fact that when he was just a common citizen without sufficient political experience he defeated the then
incumbent governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo in 2003 in circumstances similar to the present situation.

Now, having governed Ekiti for over three years, he said that he was the most qualified to confront Governor Fayemi in the forthcoming election. Speaking in Ado-Ekiti yesterday at a rally to flag off his tour of local governments in preparation for
the election, Fayose, despite rumour that he had secured presidential backing, insisted that he is battle ready to confront all the aspirants in transparent primaries.

His words: “I am not an advocate of consensus. I love primaries. I was one of those who fought that there should be primaries and I am ready for it financially and spiritually. When we go to the field, we will all test our popularity among our members. I am ready to support whoever emerges through transparent primaries, even if
he defeats me by only one vote.

I don’t take pleasure in anything that doesn’t follow due process.” On the rumour that he may visit vengeance
against those who orchestrated his impeachment in 2006, Fayose said, “Some said I will be vindictive, am I God? Vengeance is of the Lord.” Fayose, one of the leading PDP aspirants out of 29 that has joined the fray said: “Whether you like it or not, PDP still needs someone like me. Our. party should not field someone who cannot win election. I don’t want to end at the level of candidacy the way others were thinking. I want to get the ticket and conquer for you. I want to
be installed as PDP governor come October 16, which marks the eighth year of my impeachment from the government house in Ekiti and by the grace of God, I shall be restored.”

Commenting on the threat posed by the gale of defection of some PDP bigwigs to All Progressives Congress at the national and state levels, Fayose said, “defection is normal in any democratic setting.”

PoliticsMelaye Sacks Nine Domestic Stewards Over Police Harassment by bandol(op): 3:38pm On Nov 06, 2013
The Executive Secretary of Anti-Corruption and former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Dino Melaye, may have sacked all his nine domestic staff which include drivers, cleaners and stewards.

Although, details of the sweeping sacking, which took place on Tuesday, were still sketchy as of the time, it was learnt that the action also affected his cook, some relatives, house girl and gardener.

Sources said the decision was taken to forestall the likelihood of government agents using the domestic staff “planting any incriminating material” in the house.

A source, close to him, told our correspondent on Wednesday that those who were affected were mostly staff “who could easily be compromised with money and other mouth-watering incentives.”

Speaking with our correspondent on Wednesday, Melaye confirmed the sacking of his domestic staff, saying there was nothing wrong in it.

He said, “I decided to sack all my nine domestic staff because the level of trust has declined. Any of them could be used, some of them could be compromised. But I have decided not to sack my dogs because they are very loyal to me. This government is so desperate to get back at me and from the recent incident in which security agencies ransacked my house, it has reached a situation where government could use any means to hit back at me because if you fight corruption, corruption will fight back.”

The former House of Reps member has been arrested twice in two weeks over his role in a protest against the controversial N255m bullet-proof car scandal bought by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority allegedly on the instruction of the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah.

He was released from his second arrest on Tuesday.

One thing you should know is that the police will come after you. The only way to stop them is the people’s power. When you hear of impunity, It’s because you allow it. When you hear that Amaechi is courageous, it’s because I take risk. You must come out when we ask you to do so. There is no revolution without blood. The only revolution without blood is reform."
“Anyday they are ready for a debate, I’m ready. I call them thieves, let them reply me."
“To our APC guests, I like to say we are a group of seven governors. In that group, I’m perculiar because the president is from our zone. So regarding your invitation, I will consult our leaders, I will consult my party, I will consult even the president. He is from our zone. I will consult all the consultables!"
“But the day we will take a decision, it will be at that our new stadium. It has the capacity to take 40,000 people. Tinubu, and the president (refers to #Buhari ) will address 40,000 people. So we need to go out and continue to grow our number."
“They have money, they have the police, they have the army. The only thing we have is our people."
And you refuse to complete the sentence! Why? O you think that can save PDP??

PoliticsAs Amaechi Asks For Blood, Activist Tells Him To Start With His Children! by bandol(op): 11:20am On Nov 06, 2013
A noted Nigerian activist, Roz Ben Okagbue, has descended on River State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, over his call that the people of Rivers state should be ready to spill blood for the revolution that he alleges is coming.

Speaking while hosting leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who had paid him a visit to lobby him to join their party, an excited Amaechi said "They are so desperate that they have gone to hire Commissioner Mbu as the military wing of the PDP. One thing you should know is that the police will come after you. The only way to stop them is the people’s power. When you hear of impunity, It’s because you allow it. When you hear that Amaechi is courageous, it’s because I take risk. You must come out when we ask you to do so. There is no revolution without blood".

But Ben Okagbue, who is a renowned activists and notaed progressive said in response to Amaechi's call "So these politicians honestly believe that on their behalf the innocent citizens of Nigeria will hit the streets and shed their own blood? On what grounds? What have they done for us lately? Have they used our money to build state of the art hospitals so our people stop going to India to die? Have they built and equipped schools and universities so that we stop sending our children to Ghana for a sound education? Is it not the same Amaechi who found enough funds to buy and fly ...around in a private jet? On what grounds are we coming out to revolt for them? And whose blood should be spilt may I ask?

Let them line up their sons and daughters and have them killed first. After that they can line up the people they gave contracts to. if the are looking for who to use for blood sacrifice, they should know that charity begins at home!

How many of these G7 Northern governors in question brought money to compensate the BH victims? What did even Amaechi himself do when Obassanjo and Yar'adua's govts were bombing his people? Now they are looking for innocent blood to spill. Look at Anambra state where innocent people were killed in a stampede. Peter Obi is busy investigating? Investigating what? Was he not there? Those poor people have died in vain yet the politicians did not stop their campaign and bickering for one second!

Enough is enough! Anyone who steps on the streets on the account of these theiving politicians must be completely stupid. If and when we are ready to revolt, we know who will call us. Most certainly not serving governors simply because they are out of favour. They are all dancing naked in the market square....we shall continue watching like it's a movie!

collynzo2: APC becomes PDP. What else? PDP governors + PDP president
sincerely, the romance between APC and G7-Governors is the greatest mistake of the century.

My question is: can they transform the PDP Governors when they eventually join APC. I think the answer is a capital NO! Then it's just a change of nomenclature; still the same sets of people.

Going by the level of romance between APC and G-7 Governors. Come to think of it; If President Jonathan makes a request to join APC, what do you think they would say?

And what does that implies?
IMHO they would gladly accept the request and automatically authorize him for second term unopposed.

Speaking when members of the civil
service union paid him a courtesy call
at the government house in Minna, Governor Aliyu explained that as a
leader of the G7 governors, he remains committed to the cause of †ђξ aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said the governors are still

on their political future after the
Discussion.

It will be recalled that the Abubakar

aggrieved G7 governors belong was
not favoured in the recent court ruling
as it recognized the Bamanga Tukur

The aggrieved G7 governors namely:
Aliyu Wamakko, Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Rivers state’s Rotimi Amaechi, Aliyu Babangida of Niger state, Kwara state governor, Abdulfatai Ahmed, Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state and Rabiu Kwankwanso of Kano state decided to take a stance with some key members of the party which include former vice president Atiku Abubakar and former Kwara state governor Senator Bukola Saraki and Olagunsoye Oyinlola after they stormed out of the Special National Congress held at Eagles
