Amarabae:Are you minding that poor man ![]() |
Awo just an overhyped village champion, it's no wonder Zik was recognized world wide than Awo, they called Zik "Zik of Africa" cause the man was pretty much the reason Nigerian got her independence (Zik was too nationalistic for his own good, his one Nigeria ideologies more than anything else alienated him from his own people). But back to Awolowo, the man was quite an astute politician no doubt, as he did a lot for his people, but the same Awolowo is the reason why his people were slaves to the Northerners even when he had the political clout to have his dream of an independent Western region achieved, he preferred to hide behind Ojukwu and like the shameless opportunist he was play a two faced double agent role (support Ojukwus plan for secession with promises of following suit if the East seceded, only to back track again to Nigeria when offered a position in Gowons cabinet) ... While Ojukwu stood up to Gowon and the entire Northern Nigeria, Awolowo preferred to play second fiddle to Gowon... Who was young enough to be his son... while Northern troops occupied his western region, Awolowo was content to have his region under the control of Northerners, and after serving the Northern interest... he still never became president, but rather got dumped by the same Northerners he slaved up to... and then died rather mysteriously... today nobody has heard much of Awolowos children or even generation. |
LaudableXX:Of course you deflect once again from the question, shows you are just a hypocrite and a very unintelligent one at that. If your version of historical truth is what you will carry to your grave, then please don't pass that seed of ignorance to your children, rather let them read and have an unbiased perspective of their nations history.. Have a good life. |
LaudableXX:Now I'm justified when I call called you a dyslexic... You are obviously without mincing reality devious with the truth, however spurious and hackneyed your theories are, but I'll overlook your ignorance and all the balderdash you just typed and ask you again...against the backdrop of one of the worst pogroms in black history been meted out to your people, and you were in the shoes of Ojukwu, what and what would you have done any differently? note that you just wanted the mandate of your people to chart the course of their own destiny, without declaring war on the rest of Nigeria... but somehow shots were fired on your people FIRST by your aggressors, so on a passive-aggressive indices, what then would you have done? Please answer the question as honestly and cognitively as you can, cause I hate people who just revision history to suit their their diabolical interest. |
LaudableXX:STFU you dyslexic deviant , so all the Igbos brutally massacred all over Nigeria wasn't a fair "rationale" for them to opt out? Are you so daft or just plain insensitive to have ignored the immediate causes for secession? And if you must know Ojukwu DID NOT UNILATERALLY declare Biafra, he consulted with the Eastern elders and consultative assembly in all constituents of authority at the time, and as a matter of principle got the mandate of the people to pull out of Nigeria, every Igbo and non-Igbo in the East at the time WANTED OUT. Ojukwu wasn't prepared for war and was only hyperbolic in his expressions and statements about the Biafran readiness for a armed conflict just to delay or avoid any war with the Nigerian side, because he never wanted war but had to fight back if attacked, he was a soldier first before anything so can you blame him ... Ojukwu wasn't the one that fired the first shots of war, Nigeria did in July 7, 1967 at the Biafran border towns of Garkem and Ogoja. So don't come here and try "enlighten' me about the remote and immediate causes of war, with your outlandish claims that Ojukwu led his people to a war that your dumb ass self forgot to understand why he did so in the first place, if you were in Ojukwus shoes, what would you have done? Just wait and be sitting ducks for Nigerian soldiers to come to your own land and kill off your people and then be remembered as the coward general that stood by and watched his people been desecrated? I bet not. And for the records, Brigadier Ogundipe wasn't the only officer senior in rank to Gowan, Ogundipe didn't just "leave the scenes" he was simply unsure of his safety in those uncertain moments after Ironsi was killed in the counter coup, and with other senior officers left to challenge the legitimacy of Gowons' undeserved rise to Supreme commander when he was just a Lieutenant Colonel at the time, only Ojukwu saw through the bullshit and stood up to Gowon who was the same rank as he (Ojukwu) was!! ...there were others like Brigadiers' Effiong, Imo, Colonel Adebayo and a host of other senior officers I can't remember, pick up a book and read. |

You have obviously not done your research. Google is your friend. Go back and read up on what transpired before police action was taken, and the civil war started. So you are telling me Ojukwu was at fault for taking the most rational measure to protect his people after the pogrom meted out on Igbos and other Easterners all over Nigeria? in his capacity as military governor of the Eastern region, and considering the circumstances that brought Gowon(a officer who was rather imposed on the nation by the North ahead of more senior officers), where you expecting Ojukwu as a soldier and human being to just ignore the fact that his people were no longer wanted in Nigeria after all the massacres... And just kiss Gowon's a.s.s ,remember the same Gowon reneged on the Aburi accord that gave more power to the regional governments with confederacy as the solution to the nation's friction. dude before you mitigate the essence of history... try use your brain and conscience, and put yourself in the place of Ojukwu... stop twisting history to suit your idiotic ego... Ojukwu wasn't perfect and had a part to play in the unfortunate Civil War that should have been avoided , but it will be hypocritical to claim Ojukwu caused the war, cause you and I would have probably done the same thing... You can't kill my people and expect us to sing One Nigeria... That's just unrealistic and obscenely idiotic. |
Buhari the failure. |
tunjiajayi:Another brain dead afonja, you guys will never get knackered with anything about Biafra, very useless and insecure bunch of people. |
Diademk07:When you are done using up your data on your incoherent gibberish, better remember to save some money for psychiatric evaluation at yaba left, cause you are really one dyslexic individual. |
Before then an Igbo governor elect will be in helm of affairs. Eko oni baje ![]() |
Diademk07:Guy Yoruba women are so dirty, even comedians take a swipe at your whole women as been filthy , as for the beauty pageant part, I can list at least 20 of it won by Igbo queens(not that it's relevant to this discourse), but I'm trying to prove a point that that hairy yam leg Igbo girl has a far better chance of besting the best looking Yoruba chick from your end, that's how hopeless your case is as a tribe, abeg leave matter, even honest Yoruba men know how pathetic their women are, and would in most cases risk the cultural odds by coming down East to pay for an Igbo bride price than risk settling with their punishments back home. |
Diademk07:Man to man no Yoruba can stand to be counted among Igbo men, you guys are just useless pu.ssy hopping deviants that have no respect for women, and lack the fundamentals of family structure. That's why lots of yoruba families are dysfunctional, child care is a joke a malnutrition is the order of the day on many Yoruba families cause the man who is supposed to provide is busy chasing anything in skirt. This are known facts mate, that's why even your own women call you demons. Igbo men are definitely the definition of all round men of high standards and value, we love to take care of our women even if it means busting our asses on multiple jobs, we are effeminate cowards like you bastards that only excel in shouting and making noise, never compare your menfolk to any Igbo man, cause one Igbo man is equal to 20 Yoruba weaklings any day, notice that I only replied to the few reasonable points I could pick out from your incorrigible jargons and badly structured grammar, it's clear you are just another dyslexic individual that needs medical attention. |
Diademk07:Where did this tout crawl out from? It's a known fact Yoruba women are the ugliest things ever, even a UFO alien will cringe in shock at the sight of your women, guy don't even go there. We all know the tribe that produces all the beauty pageants in Nigeria, your women save for maybe a few are a walking wonder of filth, ugliness, and utter classlessness, only Efik, Ibibio, Fulani, and maybe few Urhobo women stand tall with the Igbo queens when it comes to beauty and all round astute class. And yes fool, your Adeyinka grandson definitely called Yoruba women sluts in one of his delirious rants, I'll find the video on YouTube for you. |
nuoladee:I'm making sense, you are the one definitely bereft of making sense, so because Nnamdi Kanu stated his opinion then that makes it fact? Didn't one of your Yoruba activist by name of Adeyinka Grandson (look him up) also call out Yoruba women for been skreps all over the UK? dude I'm not here to argue with you, there's a reason why more Yoruba men prefer to marry Igbo women, cause Igbo women are several classes above thier own women, and they can keep marriages comparatively better. You are entitled to your opinion and I to mine, but between us lies the irreducible truth, bye. |
nuoladee:compared to Yoruba women they are saints, check the tribe with the highest divorce rates in Nigeria, there are more single Yoruba mothers than any other place in Nigeria, its almost an enigma. There is a reason why everyone calls out Yoruba men for been "demons", y'all got no integrity, just sleep around with anything in skirts. |
nuoladee:Igbo women are keepers mate, that's why it almost sacrilegious in Igbo culture for a woman to even opt for a divorce let alone frolick around, cause the stigma she will face is unimaginable, a woman's honor is preened not just be her loyalty to her husband and family but to her husband's people as well in Igboland... That's why it's hard to see an Igbo man that doesn't take care of his wife and family cause the bride price is symbolic. Yoruba women on the other hand are free givers, since there's no semblance of culture and integrity in your culture, it's not rare to see your men sleep around and have babies all over the place, your women are not any different and divorce their husband's like say tomorrow no dey. The only Igbo women who are promiscuous in nature are the ones who somehow made it to Lagos and lost all their sense of civilization, thanks no less to the Yoruba factor they learn. |
CSTR2:Yeah heard stories about her promiscuity few years back... I don't even consider her Igbo cause her lifestyle and mannerisms are definitely Yoruba in orientation been a second generation Lagos girl , she can't even speak Igbo and is only Igbo by name (got some friends like her who are Igbo but do not even know the name of their villages back in the East). No true Igbo daughter bred in the East will behave like a skrep, it's not in our culture. |
Chidinma strikes me as an olosho, I bet she will hop on the next celebrity soon... at 26 she should have a stable relationship or even married. |
Igbo again, this people and greatness sef ![]() |
Michael004:I dey follow your lead now, since we are now claiming crimes based on hearsay, I might as well beat you to your own game, ode oshi ![]() |
Michael004:Like I said post sources of crimes committed by Igbos in the South west and stop boring me. |
All your rants and lamentations, will not change the fact that your Oxford-trained general led your people who were ill-prepared and ill-equipped into a war they could not win, which directly or indirectly caused the death of more than 3 million souls. may the souls of the departed rest in peace.

Did he let them know how ill-prepared their entire region was, in terms of men and ammunition, when it came to prosecuting a war? A true leader would have done so.
Thank God for makeup.
