Music/Radio / Re: Sorry, Slim, But Lil Wayne Is The Greatest MC Alive by BankuTilapia2: 9:21pm On Jul 20, 2014
bankydd: With the release ofThe Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem declares himself a Rap God, featuring the King of Rap (Kendrick Lamar) on his album, and hoping to finally pass the torch ofthe rap game to a worthy predecessor. One can debate back and forth over whether Em or Jay-Z is the greatest rapper alive, but, rather than waste any time debating semantics between these two self-proclaimed "God MCs," I'm declaring the greatest MC in the history of the game to be neither Em nor Jay. History will show that the existence of a God MC is irrelevant so long as there's life on Mars.People Love the Underdog...Eminem has complicated rhymes and rhythms. There's no denying the man knows how to put together a sentenceand spit it -- if complicated equated to musicality, however, why is"Yesterday" the most covered song in pop culture and not "Crazy Train," the fast-paced and just as classic track from Ozzy Osbourne? There's nodenying Eminem is a legendary MC anda great artist, but, while he may have seemed like the innovator in real time, looking back at his archive, the majority of his work doesn't hold up. His cartoony beats, dated pop culture references (who are Moby and Carson Daly, and why is Em mad at them?) and comical lyrics mostly fall flat. Eminem's problem is he blew up too quick -- so he never really had a chanceto mature as an artist.Lil Wayne, on the other hand, came up in the shadows of Juvenile, Manny Fresh, and Baby. Whereas Em was Aftermath's LeBron James, Weezy started as Cash Money's Allen Iverson. At best, Duane Carter was a sidekick, destined to VH1 reality and dating shows. Slim Shady is Vanilla Ice with credibility and skill; he's the Yankees, and he was supposed to win. Lil Wayne is a blinged out Southern rapper like any other. There's no reason he should still be relevant, but he is. All Marshall Mathers had to do in order to stick out was show up; Weezy had to work for his -- and that's real hip-hop.Less Is More...The career-defining single for each of emcee is Eminem's "Lose Yourself," an ode to the struggle of becoming a rapper, and Lil Wayne's "Lollipop," a song about sex. Both songs are approximately five minutes long, and Em fits about 50 percent more words in his song. Weezy's lyrics are much more repetitive, so Shady is essentially working twice as hard to produce the same effect. This certainly proves Marshall is talented and hard-working. It proves he can spit complicated rhyme patterns. But is that what makes a great song? By accomplishing the same thing (a number 1 single) with half the words, Tunechi proves he has a better grasp of lyricism than the Rap God.While word count seems like a wacky way to compare two lyricists, if we're calling someone the greatest rapper alive, it's an important consideration. Lyrics are words, and, as Twitter has proven time and time again, the less words you use to express a thought, the more appealing it is. Being able to express a concise thought on a subject is the mark of a genius, and doing it melodically is a sign of a musical prodigy -- both of which describe Lil Wayne.Content Marketing...Where most people adamantly take a stance on Eminem being great while LilWayne is "garbage" lies in Shady's subject matter -- "Em raps about reallife and real problems while Wayne just talks about money, drugs, and sex." I understand what is being said, but Marshall's lyrics focus on himself while Weezy's run the gamut of subject matter, from destruction (murder) to creation (sex) to everything in between. While Shady is a master of both horrorcore and emo-rap, Tunechi not only excels at both, but can also touch on a wide variety of subjectsEminem does rap about drugs ("Drug Ballad," anyone?), guns ("Pistol Pistol"wink, and sex ("Superman"wink just like Lil Wayne, but Mr. Carter is able to touch on one universal subject that Mr. Mathers still struggles with, eveninto his 40s...How to Love. Slim is incapable of writing a love song that Justin Bieber could legitimately pull off. The sign of a truly classic song is in its ability to be covered by artists from different generations, and Lil Wayne's discography will stand the test of time longer than Eminem's because compassion is what truly lasts. Em is incapable of expressing compassion without betraying his image. Weezy can release an entire album of love songs; Shady can't.A Goon to a Goblin...Relatability is an important consideration when determining an artist's "star power," and Eminem is much more relatable than Lil Wayne on the surface. Em is an every man who everyone can relate to on some level, while Tunechi is subtitled in his interviews. Aside from having a recognizable face, Slim dresses, looks, and acts like everyone else on the streets (albeit a bit more amped up). He could be anyone's son, neighbor, father, brother, etc. If you showed up to work looking like Weezy, on the other hand, you're going to be fired, and probably arrested. Lil Wayne is a Martian, and if it weren't for music, he wouldn't fit in anywhere.Unfortunately for Em, star power doesn't equate to being the best MC, and his relatability is only skin deep. People may get angry and want to kill themselves or someone else in their head every so often, but a large portion of his portfolio is angry. Basically, Eminem is a really good battle rapper, which is one of the moreclassical styles of hip-hop. Lil Wayne, however, pushes the sonic boundaries of the game to new levels. Both"Lollipop" and "How to Love" take hip-hop to levels that Shady is incapable of pulling off. Weezy is talented in any musical genre; Marshall Mathers is not.The Real Slim Shady...Unlike the classic debate over 2Pac or Notorious B.I.G. being the greatest MC ever, both Lil Wayne and Eminem are still very much in the game and cranking out hits, with each artist sitting on discographies of over 1000 tracks. As long as Em outlives Wayne (and, unless Weezy shares genes with Keith Richards, it's a definite possibility), Shady will have the last word. He still has a chance to release aunique album that breaks his formulaic approach to music. Eminem could possibly test the boundaries of rap in an unexpected way. That day may never come, however, and until it does, Lil Wayne is the undisputed greatest living MC

Fuckkk Jay Z, Lil Wayne.................all of them and give me Bob Marley, Garnett Silk, Sanchez, Beres Hammond, Sizzla, Cocoa Tea, Culture, Richie Spice, Israel Vibrations, Bushman
Education / Re: Crisis In UNN Between Post Graduate And Under Graduate Students Today(photos) by BankuTilapia2: 9:12pm On Jul 20, 2014
Manchidede: University of Nigeria, Nsukka is esperiencing some crisis which is about to escalate to a major destruction.
Since the inauguration of the new Vice Chancellor early last month, the school has not been conducive for the students. This has affected the boys hostels in particular.
Consequently, Power supply and water are the major issues on ground. For one week now, the school have experienced blackout(though generators work sometimes in the night). Water supply has been fluctuating for a while now.
That notwithstanding, amongst the three boys hostels(alvan, eni-njoku, and mbanefo hall), the school authorities have asked the occupants of mbanefo hall to vacate the hall with immediate effect.
However, the crisis initiated saturday night(19th) when post graduate students beat an undergraduate student who has said to have fetched water from their tap mercilessly. According to what blog gathered, that is not the first time such thing has happened. During the world cup finals, it was reported that the said post graduate students beat another undergraduate student for watching the match with them.
All these accumulated grievances have surfaced yesterday night when the undergraduate students started their revolution. Some of the students entered inside the school for protest while the rest stayed back to fight the post graduate students. They broke their cars, hostel glasses, hostel gate amongst others, while the students that went inside the school ended up in shutting down all the power generators in school.

The school security tried to intervene, but the student's forces outwitted theirs.
This crisis is still ongoing this morning as the undergraduate students are still agitating to do more.
Currently the army from Nsukka barracks have arrived school to calm the situation.
Stay tuned

BluIvy: 77% Imagine, then they claim to the Giant of Africa when dark skinned girls have actually vanished into the bottles of Whitelicious!

As I have said before Giant of Africa is Ghana, original, rich un adulterated culture and proud. No the copy, copy mentality, that everything western is civilised and everything African is primitive.

Nigerian women bleach than any other women on earth. Its a FACT. The only country on earth thats proud to be black is Ghana. We have black star in our national flag, our senior national team is call da Black Stars, U-17(Black starlets), U-20(Black Satellites), U-23(Black Meteors), female national team is call the Black Queens, U-17(Black Maidens), U-20( Black Princess). National hockey team is call Black Sticks, national table tennis team is call Black Loopers, national basketball team is call Black Hands and the national boxing team is call the Black Bombers. We love who we are and we wont change. Nigerians suffer from inferiority complex and its very laughable when they say Ghanaians are too black hahaaaaaaaa. Lupita Nyongo is making it big in Hollywood and she is pure black no bleachinggggggg

360command: I know you ghanaians down to your bloodline. I am not here to talk about negativity. The truth be told, an Ashanti sees himself superior or smarter compared to any tribe in Ghana. The way an Ashanti prides his EGO to other tribes in Ghana is the same way a Nigerian does if we are to compare both countries. To your question, HOW CAN A NIGERIAN CLAIM SUPERIORITY OVER A GHANAIAN? If we are to look at it from a business perspectives, you can hear the bitter complains of Ghanaians saying 'These Nigerians are removing us out of business, they must go'. But you seem to forget that life is about survival, competition in other to remain at the top. Is it not the same Ashantis that claim to be more business minded but when they are to compete with the Nigerians, because of their complains you can see that one is Superior than the other. I remember in school, courses such as Economics, banking etc the lecturers do cite examples giving Nigeria as a case study. They do appraise how well they have transformed and sets itself as key players in certain industry.

Utter nonsense, stop beating around the bush and provide salient points to back up the crapppp you are chirping. So how come your country is such a shittttthole despite all the bragging you doughnuts are making here. Nigeria is one big hell

Merely looking at the silliness you exhibit here it's clear you are not in any way better than the least of Nigerians. That helps us to put into perspective your boring country in comparison to Nigeria. No matter what you say here, Nigeria is not in your petty league. You know that and you know that very well. Mind you, we are talking about people who begged to be allowed as refugees in Brazil. Imagine that coming from your people without any shame.

In terms of development, Nigeria is likely 20 years ahead of Ghana. Despite the poor power supply in Nigeria or erratic electricity there is no way any area Ghana is advanced as to what Nigeria have on ground at the moment. There are recorded constant blackout in your cities as well(Nigeria and Ghana share that alike), your roads are not as good as the Nigerian roads(we have the second largest network of road in Africa after South Africa), The Nigerian universities are better(the list of best universities in Africa is a testament to that), our people look beautiful than your people because Ghanaians are known to be very dark like back of a kettle and are usually midgets. I agree there is poor security system in place in Nigeria but that cannot be used to measure development, if not South Africa having the second worst criminal rate in Africa would have be on the bottom of the table in term of development in Africa.

Get your facts straight and stop begging the question when you don't have any thing reasonable to present or support your argument.

Ur penchant for stupidityyyy is amazing. Mumugeria is da most useless country on earth, i mean it beggars belief that humans still lives in that zoo. As for ur warehouses you call universities is laughable. Ur country is a complete joke and do you know we enjoy better electricity than u mofossss? Women? Hahaaaa dont even go there cuz our women dont bleach hahaaaaaa. U r an assholeeee, a typical nigerian very loud, stupid, dumb with nothing to show.

all4naija: These are my thought of things forcing Nigerians to emigrate.

1) Dirty environment. The surroundings in Nigeria are too dirty and smell bad. Those who manage to leave the country to a new environment where things work orderly won't want to go back home even at the expense of begging to survive.

2) Lack of constant supply of electricity, water, better waste management, good road, good housing, etc.

3) The society. The Nigerian society is too dangerous. Arms men attack innocents routinely.

4) Boko Haram is threatening people and most are afraid to be in the country to be caught in bomb blast.

5) There is no hope of getting a job after graduation due to too many people vying for a particular job. We have seen that happened during the Nigerian immigration recruit.

6) Malaria and other diseases. There are too much diseases in the country that there is constant sickness and lost of proper reasoning from those suffering of malaria without good treatment or good hospitals to take care of them.

7) No hygienic food and drinking water. The food in Nigeria is prepared in a dirty environment and is not clean for human consumption. The same with drinking water. That is one of the reasons why Nigerian children look ugly and horrible.

8.) Selfishness and hate. The society doesn't care about the poor and they are hated.

9) Lack of opportunity. There is no room for the poor to get to leadership positions and do something to help the poor.

10) No welfare programs. There is no program in place that care for the elderly people and youth who could fend for themselves.

11) Barbarism. The human rituals and cultism are scaring people to leave the country for them not to be used for the aggressive ritual practitioners.

12) Huge poor population. The percentage of the poor population is increasing as silly Nigerians are bent of having too many children they can care for.

13) No organized and civilized settings. The whole place is like a waste management yard. People don't do thing according to rules and regulation s. In fact, many Nigerians are taking the backward practice with them to developed nations.

14) Lack of cleanliness, body and clothes. Most Nigerians don't wash their bodies properly and their clothes are usually dirty.

You will never say this about nigeria if you were arguing with Ghanaians. You will be here talking big about your and bragging all the way hahaaaaaaaaaaaa. Now see your life
