manneger2:God bless you jare. Every of those things were written by Nigerians, I can't say about the quora own sha. But the rest are Nigerian blogs |
Ibunkun1:DE list comes out at the same time with UTME. Only special admissions is different. Now, y'all have to chill for some weeks before ABU releases her admission , and by then, all of una go know |

lilGiant:It's a normal rumor around this time. The "soon" may take a month. Just ignore them all |
Is it only me or why is no one talking about Etebo? Abi na different match I watch? |
I've always opined that our lawmakers are the problem of this country. Imagine them collecting millions of naira monthly, and they're struggling to pay minimum wage. Those states owing salaries, I'm not sure they owe lawmakers any salary, but they're owing the peasants. And what do the lawmakers do, seat down in the chambers, sleep, read punch newspaper, which of course they collect allowance for, stand up to say one or 2 things, may not say anything for the day even, collect bribe to pass budgets into law, never do anything in their constituents for years, I'm not sure they even do charity events So, what do they use all the big fat cheques for? The earlier we realize the senators and house of reps constitute a bigger problem. The earlier we get to solve a lot of problems in this country. I can't even believe they're dragging minimum wage. It's a pity, smh |
Papacypaul:No, he's not |
ejehijustice:Honestly speaking, I don't know the criterion behind it. Asides from the minimum requirements of upper class. It was this semester I realized that my mate who joined us in 200 lvl, actually graduated with upper-class HND, he applied for special admissions, he was supposed to get 300 lvl, but he got 200 lvl instead, and he's from Katsina. So yeah, I was shocked, but I saw his admission letter and know, there's no lie behind it |
mujibson:Bruh, I'm telling you, if you get 399, if someone gets 400,and you're both competing, he gets ahead of you. A friend currently in 300 lvl, civil, lost by 1 mark, the following year, he beat the nearest guy by 1 mark also. Now, if you're going to be given another course? I don't know about that. I don't know criteria behind that |
Also, when it comes to catchment state, they use Educationally Less Developed states ish. Someone from a very local lga has a higher chance of getting than you. Example. I scored 212, I applied from Kwara State, Offa LGA, I got deflected to Agric Engineering... He scored 180 something, can't remember, applied from Kwara, Kaiama LGA, he got it. People from his locality aren't so much educated, compared to those from mine, so, the little ones who want to study are always given the chance to, in hope they can develop their places. I hope you get me? |
mujibson:I dunno about other schools, but I can proudly tell you, we're one of the schools who prioritize merit most... Yes, some people get high score and are not admitted, while others get low score and are admitted. It's a normal occurrence. All you have to do get a score higher than everyone who applied for the course in your state. Simple isn't it? But complicated also, truthfully. You could get 257, and someone else gets 258, the person is in pole position ahead of you, someone else from another state would get 185, and is the only aspirant from his state, unarguably, the person would get admitted. Now, that's where the lamentations come. Imagine, I got 257, and didn't get admitted, someone else got 185 and got admitted. Connection, connection, bla bla. Those whom are from the catchment areas have higher chances of being admitted, because they can take as many as they choose, 5, 6 whatever amount. My class for example, there are 2 Kwara students, but only 1 ogun student, only one Edo student. You get now? Those from non catchment have to battle it out for just one spot, so, someone can get 180 and get admitted, yet, you who scored 250+ may not get admitted. All you should put in your mind is, get as high as possible and try to beat everyone from your state and you'd be rest assured. Like I mentioned, they take as many as they wish from catchment states. At 100 lvl, my class had 2 students from Kwara, civil engineering had at least 5, mechanical had about 3 or thereabouts. Civil engineering itself has about 7/8 students from Kogi, same with mechanical, but my department had just 1. So, it's not about favoritism or anything, it's about the protocol they follow, don't let anyone lie to you that they favor Hausa's more too. Kwara, Kogi and Benue are 3 of 5 most populous students in ABU Zaria, I'm pretty sure none of them is an Hausa or Muslim state |
mujibson:Aspirants aren't around. Most of my mates are done, those you mentioned are in finals, believe me, it isn't easy turning up here like we used to do back then, but I reiterate, if anyone asks question, it will surely be answered |
mujibson:I'm around, maybe not always like before, but I'll always respond to a mention when I get one |
iceboy4752:Donno, not sure anyone knows, prolly ending of next month. Can't say, but certainly, not anytime soon |
mrklock:Klock, ex officio? Seriously? |
KendrickAyomide:I was referring to university. Here, in some exams, students are even allowed to use headset. Hell, they even take a break during exams. Fine arts is included too |
KendrickAyomide:6 hours is not surprising bruh. Do you know any Archi or URP or environmental design student? Well, it's a norm for them |
Rilwayne001:Lol, let ABU students hear you ![]() At least una still get SUG. Half bread is better than none bruh |
lexzy390:Have you applied for the special admissions yet? |
encryptjay:Sheet man!!! You left late. Well, it's all good. Not how far, but how well. Good luck |
You're dreaming if you think Tekno and Hazard will ever be the best ![]() |
October 24, 2017. Page 730......mehn it's a damn really long time |
oluwakayode25:Exactly the reason why he's now willing to go for Nigeria. Afterall, Nigeria has a flair for foreign based |
Kamelot77:That, I agree too |
Kamelot77:So far you've not represented the senior team in any competitive match, you can represent another country. Even if he plays in friendly for England, he can still play for Nigeria |
