Ok, if you don't mind please let me ask you another question. Since one candidate is taken from non-catchment states, how does ABU handles the admission of candidates from states like Ebonyi and Cross River, which are not catchments areas but ELDS states?
no idea. but i suppose it's still 1 per department. but i can't say with utmost certainty

Oh, I see. Well, for that, it's unsurprising. But I still love this thread. I've always had eyes for tourism, so, I tend to get swayed quite easily when I encounter such threads

The way we think and act is sometimes a mystery to me.

Here's an interesting thread, at least for those of us who loves tourism. Instead of we to pick, comment and comment, all you care about is her skin color and her gender. That's really off

But by the way, I heard that the non-academic staff are responsible for handling the admission, and I know they aren't under ASUU.
You probably heard wrong. Senate does, and that's SSANU. and they're very much ASUU

I can't say, but won't be surprised if they don't

iceboy4752:
@barackodam
Please sir, do you have any idea why the admission is being delayed? I was told that it is because of the strike, but other universities, obviously registered under ASUU keep releasing their lists despite the ongoing strike.
I've always known ABU to be a very very strong ASUU member. I know about 3 schools that did convocation amidst the strike, ABU never did theirs. It's unsurprising they're not talking about admission. The year I applied was when ASUU went on 6 months strike, back in '13, almost all the schools I knew then wrote p.utme amidst the strike, ABU never did, till the strike was called off, so, when it comes to ASUU, ABU is always in full compliance

Barcelona team B, drew with Tottenham. Madrid team B lost to CSKA Moscow.
To be fair,
Madrid are 4th on the table.
Cska is 3rd on their table

So, normally, a 3rd placed team should best a fourth placed team.

It's not surprising
Politics › Re: The True Story Of Metele Attack, By Surviving Soldier by barackodam: 9:32pm On Dec 12, 2018
Dandy52:
After reading this long epistle, I critically and analytically pondered over it and made my conclusion thus:
1. The Nigerian army is delibrately downplaying some of the serious issues to appear stronger before the insurgents. The mouth in its wisdom selects what to say and what not to say.
2. Some of the claimes (if not all) that the militry is not well equiped, under funded, poorly fed, poorly remunerated, misrepresented etc, might all be true. But until a rotten tooth is pulled out, the mouth must chew with caution.
My advise to the Nigerian government is to take the welfear of soldiers seriously. You cannot beat a child and tell him not to cry. When soldiers start expressing anger, grief, and desatisfaction, it always has far reaching implications and can spell doom to the security of lives and properties. Act now! I rest my case
I did see a video online once, of a soldier at their camp, complaining bitterly, of how the armoured tank they're using is the one procured during Shagari era and it's so faulty that it can't go 3 mins without stopping. I think, same with what this man said too. And we all know BH boys use more sophisticated weaponry.

What br gen John is saying is pure lies, probably to save face or whatever. The soldiers are being milked, cheated and left to die. And yes, corruption has eaten deep there. That's why the BH menace would not stop. All the parties are benefiting. Aids from foreign agencies, money for this, money for that. BH is something that would have been ended long, long, long ago. They shouldn't tell us it's not that easy. How can a terrorist group be thriving for this long. Those are questions that need be answered. While we'll always question the head of state, we also need to question the ones the head of state put in charge. They will never go to the battlefield, because they know the truth about what is happening there.

I just feel really saddened with the inhuman act being channeled to those fighting for our country, I know all those government parastatals always grift, I experienced it first hand in uni when I came to paying scholarships, but doing such to soldiers, fighting for the country? God, that's something so so so annoyingly horrible
Politics › Re: 10 Most Popular States In Nigeria by barackodam: 9:16pm On Dec 12, 2018
You actually mention cross river and Bayelsa and failed to mention Kaduna?

Wow.

After Kano and Sokoto, there's no Northern state that comes close to Kaduna in anything. We're talking the army base of the country. The state with arguably the most higher institutions in Nigeria? Where the leader of the first coup in Nigeria came from?

Lol, of course Kaduna is not popular. Even in Lagos, those who travel to the north or knows people who do would mention Kaduna next after Kano, because you won't get to Kano without passing through kd (mostly, not always).

Go and choke on your list abeg

Palestine won't budge.

They won't settle amicably either. All these one everyone is saying is just their own talk ni las las. You're all wasting your time picking sides. Both nations are willing to die for the land
