If you are living abroad, make sure your child knows the language of the host country to an advanced level before you consider.
I am Igbo, never learnt Igbo but that will still not change the fact that I’m Igbo. I have lived amongst the white man and have beaten him at his own game because I know his language better than he does.
Every book of importance is first written in English.
You will always be much less proficient in the language you speak second |

The Igbo population has quadrupled since then. The war indirectly claimed the lives of 12 million people. |
Politics › Re: Bayelsa Is Bigger Than These 10 Nigerian States by Bardo: 6:03pm On May 13, 2024 |
Nailly: Bayelsa is made up of 603 villages and settlements and 598 is under Ijaw Socio Cultural Organization.
Bayelsa was cheated to have just 8 lgas.
Bayelsa is bigger than Akwa Ibom, far bigger than Imo and Anambra put together Bigger than Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Lagos, Ekiti and Osun as well as FCT.
Do not ever call Bayelsa a small State because of marginalizaton of Ijaw.
They refuse to cross Creeks and count Ijaws and do it by proxy. They use 8 lgas eyes and look Ijaws in Bayelsa . So much space but no population. Just extra space for other more populous groups |

Eniitankorede: I know why igbos want to assimilate Ikwere. The IPOB aim is to get access to the sea through any south south state acquisition. That is why they are desperate to include south south in their Biafla project. They realise that getting an independent country that is small dot in the map and without access to the sea where they can import all junks and sell hard drugs will be suicidal. Now you understand why they want to assimilate any tribe that will give them access to the sea. If Nigeria were to split, you really think the Niger delta would remain with Nigeria?? You must be joking lol. Suppose Biafra where restricted to the 5 south eastern states which is quite stupid, but let’s imagine Who would profit from the sea access? Niger deltans, and don’t forget that Igboid groups are still part of the majority in the niger delta, so indirectly, Igbo people are benefiting, be it Biafra or Niger delta The Niger delta republic would still be under the influence of Igbo land to the north, since there still remains igbo elements there, and Igbo land is still expanding outward due to the high urbanization and high population density of igbo land |

Deltancapo: You that knows still forcing yourselves on someone that doesn't know don't you see Igbo are cursed people. I’m not trying to force anyone to join Igbo land. I’m just confused about how a professor can write like this. To me, most of these people denying Igbo are in the same school of thought as anti biafrans, who are in the same school of thought that Biafra is an Igbo ethnostate. I’m not worried about Biafra because that can only be achieved once people realize that the first step to get there would be regionalism which would weaken national ties. An ikwerre person can choose to identify as whatever he wants, be it an ikwerre man or an Igbo man, not my business. |

It is you guys that are not bold enough to admit your tribalism. Maybe you’re scared because your people don’t live in their lands, they can’t afford to be bold about their tribalism.
So you guys would rather play open tribalism but delude yourself in your brain and say “We are not tribalist”. Average Yoruba and their tribal brain. One of the reasons why Nigeria will not have peace |

MEEVEET: Imo is about to jump by 2 trillion yearly when the two gas plants and power plants comes on
At least imo GDP would be over 10 trillion
We achieved this without having a reasonable governor since 1999
Can't wait till we have our own good governor The growth should be exponential rather than linear if imo manages get the investment and interest it deserves but I highly doubt our government is competent enough to sell the potential of imo gas as they have attracted meagre investments 200trn cubic feet of natural gas is worth in the trillions of $ as of now but should be worth more as demand for natural gas is estimated to increase by 44% by 2050 There could also possibly be more gas deposits in imo and the surroundings |
