I know some1 that just travelled dis August, I can confirm to you that For masters u don't need NDLEA cert and letter of eligibility although the guy told me today that he was asked in school to get d letter of Eligibility from d Nigerian Embassy in malaysia as part of the registration requirements but for undergraduate and diploma u need it to get visa here at d embassy, my VAL just got approval some minutes ago, I hope I can receive d letter dis week and head up to Abuja next week, we should meet up in Abuja next week by God grace |

Gbangbalicious: okay, I already went to the office of Ministry of Education in My state. And I had to submit some docs for verification, paid a certain amount and I was told to check back in a few days to collect the eligibility letter. I stand to be corrected it i'm wrong, I think the only acceptable letter of Eligibility is the one from d Ministry of Education Head office in Abuja, neva heard of LOE from d state ministry, pple I know send it to abuja and it's something u can get within a day if u know ur way |

mezcri: Thanks so much. I already have a dorm account. I will use that method then. I really don't have anyone trustworthy in Malay. I would have used that method. why don't u wait till u get to malay b4 u pay, it's not compulsory u pay from Nija, u can just withdrawal directly from Atm in malay, u just go with more than 1 ATM, or find some1 to do western union or money transfer to u from Nigeria in dollars, it's abit cheaper than buying dollars, depends on d fee u try to pay tho, if it's upto $5K, I will advise u to just buy dollar and transfer |

mezcri: Please, I wanna ask. With the current economic situation and forex policies, what is the best method to send school fees to Malaysia. Also, why is it that we always have to send money in dollars. Thanks. From my little Experience, opening a domiciliary account, buy dollars from the parallel market at a very expensive rate, Fund ur dorm acct and transfer to the school with ur phone is the safest, Fastest, easiest, but very expensive, d last time I tried it I paid abt $80 dollars as bank charges for just transferring $370 to the sch, don't even think of form A unless u have like abt 5months to spare, the process is very frustrating, I tried it, I was debited and they told me the transfer didn't go through, my money disappeared for almost a month before it was refunded, a very better option is to tell somebody to pay for u over there on ur behalf, u can credit is acct in naira and e will withdrawal it with ATM in malay and pay for u,its a little cheaper than buying dollars from mallam + Bank charges, but dis process is risky if u don't know the person u dealing this, E might just disappear with ur money, so find some1 u know very well and u can track down easily |

Truth234: I think it is better to travel with your ATM since you will be doing your withdrawal at bank rate, which is much better than the parallel market rate. Thank you bro |

Jayne2014: Exactly the same story they told me. They also said that my passport details page wasn't clear. I went to a studio to snap a new passport photo. Just make sure that the photo is on a blue background and not edited with photoshop. It's preferable that they use umbrella flash to eliminate shadow. I scanned mine and sent to my school who forwarded it to emgs. They took almost four days to confirm receipt of the documents. Thank you, what do u think abt dis new 1? |

Jayne2014: No, still at 15%. They said some documents are incomplete. I have sent new documents but they are yet to acknowledge. How far with yours? pls what additional documents do the require from u and did u send it by email? Mine is also at 15% now and they are telling me they need another photo, Please note that the photo submitted does not meet the EMGS requirement. The photo must be free from any shadow on the face. Kindly submit a new photo for i-Kad processing. |

They changed everything abt VDR on Upm website including the account number to pay in to, they now expect us to apply directly to EMGS and pay into their acct directly, my application has been on 0% for more than 2weeks now, the sch has not sent my documents to EMGS and payment, I don't even know whatsup with them again, and it's getting late already |
