There's no basis to arrest the spouse of the culprit in a domestic violence. It's just like saying that the spouses or relatives of those who commit crimes should be arrested. That doesn't make sense at all! This is not what the law says. You cannot hold a person for another person’s crime except they are an accessory or accomplice to the commission of that crime or they stood surety for such persons for their bail. That practice is bad policing.
