Oil prices rebounded on Tuesday after starting the week with sizeable losses caused by Greece’s debt saga. US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for delivery in August rose 29 cents to $58.62 a barrel compared with Monday’s close. Brent North Sea crude for August gained 77 cents to stand at $62.78 a barrel in London afternoon deals. WTI sank $1.30 and Brent lost $1.25 on Monday. Greece confirmed it would fail to make a key IMF repayment due on Tuesday, fanning fears of a chaotic eurozone exit on the same day the country’s international bailout expires. At the same time the European Commission said it had offered an eleventh hour deal to Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to stave off a crisis which could rupture the eurozone and risks a knock-on effect on other troubled countries. Oil traders were meanwhile also waiting to see if Iran and major world powers can reach a deal on curbing Tehran’s nuclear programme by the end of Tuesday, a deadline set by both sides. Such an agreement would allow Western powers to remove sanctions, paving the way for more Iranian crude to hit the already oversupplied international market. “For the oil market the Iran nuclear deal is fundamentally most important even though Greek turmoil will help to throw the oil market around from day to day,” said Bjarne Schieldrop, chief analyst at Commodities SEB Markets http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/world-oil-prices-rebound/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook Cc ishilove lalasticlala |

By Austin Ogwuda, Enugu THE Federal high court 2, Enugu presided over by Justice D.V. Agishi of the Federal high court Enugu, yesterday disqualified itself from the continued trial of the eleven members of pro-Biafra group, Biafra Zionists Federation (BZF) facing treason trial before the court. When the case was called up yesterday, Justice Agishi said that “in view of the fact the accused have accused me of bias, the case file has been transferred to the Chief judge of the Federal high court to assign the case to another judge”. The accused persons led a legal practitioner, Mr. Benjamin Onwuka had earlier before yesterday’s sitting, addressed a letter to the Chief Judge of the Federal High court Abuja, seeking for transfer of the case from the court. In that letter dated 23th of June 2015, reference number OAO/1/6/15, whcih was signed by a lawyer from Omotayo & Associates chambers in Enugu, Mr. B.N. Chukwu gave a vivid account of what led to the demand for the transfer of the case. The eight-paragraph letter reads: *Our clients were arraigned before the Honourable Court on the 19th day of November 2014 and charged for conspiracy and treason. *That on the 19th day of May 2015, after the cross examination of PW3, the prosecuting counsel made application to the court pursuant to Section 203 of the Criminal Procedure Act to bar the members of the public from subsequent hearing in the matter in order to bring in some witnesses. The defence counsel opposed the application on the ground that the said section is subject section 204 and 223 of the Criminal Procedure Act and section 36 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. On the 10th day of June 2015, the court delivered its ruling and granted the application excluding the members of the public and the press from subsequent hearing of the case. Our clients in the open court raised up their hands and when granted leave to speak by the court observed that the Judge was biased against them since the trial started as the Lordship had granted all applications made by the prosecution including the last one barring the public from the trial without legal authority or basis Our clients maintained that they no longer have confidence in the Judge and would not like their trial to continue before the court because the court with his disposition has already made up his mind to convict them before hearing their testimony. Our clients have even instructed us to withdraw our appearance from the trial because they believe that they cannot get justice under such secret trial procedure as that would infringe on their legal and constituted right to fair hearing. We do not have personal grievances with the Learned Judge but where the accused persons alleged bias or lack of confidence on the trial Judge, it is in the interest of justice that the judge disqualifies himself from the trial and transfer the case to the registry for re-assignment to another judge. In view of the forgoing, we humbly urge your Lordship in your wisdom to in the interest of justice urgently transfer this case to another judge for trial” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/treason-trial-against-biafra-zionists-judge-bows-to-pressure-disqualifies-self/ Cc lalasticlala ishilove |

A huge snake’s big meal in South Africa has turned out to be its last. After the death of a 12-foot-long African Rock Python, park rangers opened its stomach. Inside they found a 30-pound porcupine. *WARNING: Photos below could be considered graphic* Its needle-sharp quills seem to have punctured the snake’s digestive tract and may have contributed to its death. The engorged snake was first spotted by a mountain biker in the Lake Eland Game Reserve, about 100 miles south of Durban, two weeks ago. Visitors showed up at the park to observe the snake and to speculate what it had eaten. On its Facebook page, the Game Reserve had its own guesses: a small warthog or impala calf. When the snake died this week, curious park rangers performed a necropsy, or autopsy, on the animal. Though the exact cause of death is unknown, spectators and the porcupine may be to blame. “With all the human interaction, this could have caused stress and the python would then regurgitate the meal up with all the quills causing a problem,” said game reserve manager Jennifer Fuller. Pythons, which are some of the largest snakes in the world, kill their prey by constriction. Some species are known to eat animals as large as antelope or deer. Their prey is swallowed whole and may take days or weeks to digest fully. Cc lalasticlala ishilove

In a statement on Sunday by its Director of Publicity, Kunle Oyatomi, the APC described the judge’s petition as “significantly flawed because it is a bogus rehearsal of all the baseless allegations made by the Peoples Democratic Party in recent times, against the Aregbesola administration.” Is impeachment the only way out.... that means many governor would be impeach |

https://infotainment247./2015/06/29/buhari-fires-back-at-saraki/ President Muhammadu Buhari has denied claims by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki that he dropped his presidential ambition because of him. Buhari noted that Saraki never contested the presidential ticket of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the party’s presidential primaries in January. Buhari was reacting to claims by Saraki that he stepped down from the presidential race to support the emergence of Buhari as the APC candidate for the March 28 presidential election. Buhari, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said there was no truth in Saraki’s claim. He noted that Saraki was not among those who contested for APC Presidential ticket and so could not have stepped down for him. cc lalasticlala ishilove |
