jamst: @barth,as they say; "the first casualty in any conflict/war zone is the truth"
i ask why is it that nigerian army dont allow news reporters 2 report(true news) 4rm what is going on the battlefield?
lol @ battlefield.
Well i don't think i have the answer to that question, but one thing i do know is that such act is not unique to Nigerian Army. May just be a way of securing a crime scene so that evidence are not tampered with. #my candid opinion#
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Recruitment Into Nigeria Army by Barthx(m): 9:48pm On May 02, 2013
jamst: huh! i cant join a demoralised & criminals institution aka nigerian army, cos these ppl just committed a war crime in baga, borno state.the civillian casualty as was reported around 185 dead, which i doubt the figure is actually more than that, maybe thousands of causualties(both dead & injured).and finally, the purpose of this so-called recruitment is to replace the (large)numbers of undisclose casualties among the army during the bogus fighting wit (a ghost) 'bokoharam'
Are you for real? #just asking#

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Jumia Salary For A Graduate by Barthx(m):
mediainspired: @OP, if am on the panel of interviewers &ppl like u, RawDeal &Barthx com wit ur invites, u can be sure u wil be turned bak @dis very 1st stage. Forget skills, u all failed on d personality index! &if u ARE REALLY INTELLIGENT like u are trying to front, u will know their salary range within 2 days witout comin here. Ur motives (I can count 3!) are soo suspect. Doing ur homework indeed! I repeat, if u ar so brilliant, u wuld know wit a quick, detailed, result-oriented research if ar ingenious. It's not that hard.
well i guess u are entitled to your opinion.
Btw what PERSONALITY INDEX are you talking about?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Jumia Salary For A Graduate by Barthx(m): 7:04am On Apr 28, 2013
Van snickers: If you don't know the answer, why don't you shut up?
at this rate the OP would not get the answer to his question.
For those of you telling the Op to wait an ask during his interview, i attended an interview sometime ago and when asked how much i would like to be paid i responded by asking the panel the salary range the company pays someone with a similar experience and qualification like myself. One of them looked at me and said 'do you know that it is rude to answer a question with a question'. They ended up calling me a LEARNER. And no i didnt get the job.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Jumia Salary For A Graduate by Barthx(m): 6:52am On Apr 28, 2013
hammedkola: So you mean they will ask him how much do they pay workers as part of his own question?...OR What da "F" you even saying?
no offence bro but what are you saying? The salary question is almost a sure question that interviewers ask during an interview with only few exceptions.
So what then is your point?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Jumia Salary For A Graduate by Barthx(m): 5:41am On Apr 28, 2013
Rawdeal: Dunno y u guys don't realize he's asking cos he's doing his homework which is one of the first things u should do when you get an invite. The salary question is part of the interview question. Use ur heads and stop criticising every friggin thing. That's what religion and politics sections are for
i don't see anything wrong in the Op question. Knowing how much a company pays before going for interview whether 1st 2nd or last just shows he wants to have his facts right so as not to mess up when asked the salary question.
If you have the answer help him out and if you dont jst view and move ahead, no need to call him names.
Wish you all the best @ OP
Car TalkFRSC ICE Number Initiative (In Case Of Emergency) by Barthx(op): 10:05am On Apr 27, 2013
Federal Road Safety Commission has just come out with the concept of “ICE”..Please read carefully, it may save your life or that of someone you know

"We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign. The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As mobile phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' ( In Case Of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents there were always mobile phones with patients but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as 'ICE'. Please forward this. It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest. For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. PASS THIS AROUND AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE AS THIS CAN HELP IN AN EMERGENCY"..From the Federal Road Safety Commission . Kindly SHARE...

Okija_juju: One question:

Say I am an MTN suscriber with a 0803 111111111 Number, and I teleport to Etisalat, will my number now be 080 (9) 11111111 or will I still maintain the 080 (3) number only that it will be managed by Etisalat now?!
well i think your number would remain the same. Part of the goal of this telePORTING stuff is for one to be able to change service providers and still have your contact reach you on the same number.

PoliticsRe: FG Discovers Another N3.2tr Abacha Loot by Barthx(m): 2:26pm On Apr 06, 2013
How come you know all these, were you his PA or a member of his family?
Btw you may have a point...

Knowledge9000: Gullible Nigerians. I don't know why we are so gullible and easy to manipulate. They tell you that Abacha stashed away billions of dollars and you believe it? You are yet to ask...where are the billions of dollars recovered 7, 8, 9 yrs ago? Where are these monies? Have you ever asked why hasn't 1 dollar been traced to IBB, a man who Abacha served with for more than 8yrs as head of state? The people that are behind the rubbishing of Abacha name were the people that he refused to take loans from. Did you know that these people came to Nigeria and offered Abacha $3billion in loan but Abacha asked what for? They said to aid in the Country's development. Abacha said ok, I will take it. But they said...No, but, one thing, Abacha asked what? They said you will have to put up a collateral for it. Abacha asked what collateral? They said: Nigeria oil. Abacha told them...God punish you, go to hell with your money, we have enough money coming from oil to develop our country. He chased them all out of Nigeria and closed their offices. They kept coming, asking him to devalue the Naira...Abacha told them... lie lie over my dead body. We need to know the facts and why he was killed and subsequently, rubbishing of his name...he was with prostitutes on the day he died. Think Abacha was that stupid to sleep with Indian prostitutes. Of all the Nigerian and even muslim beautiful women in Nigeria who will literally die to sleep with Abacha, and more beautiful than indian women, he would go for Indian prostitutes? We need to think critically when certain information are presented to us.

I'm not saying that Abacha is a saint, yes he may have looted some money but why hasn't a dollar been traced to Abdulsalami, IBB, Obasanjo and many others but only Abacha. Some of us need to be beaten mercilessly to think critically.

Don Tim: why not try installing vmaware with linux red hat 5, i am guessing u dont plan to run the oracle server in a production environment, so get oracle 10 / 11g and install in the Linux VM, even with your 2G, u would run ok with patience. like some1 said, the main DB version of oracle focused for multiuser environment. google is your friend for the install procedure n really, oracle runs smooth on Linux. good luck
ok i wld consider dat option. Thanks
