@OP, dont get cocky. Meet ur interviwers first, interract get d job b4 bothering ur head about salary (BTW u shuld hav an idea by d public profile of d company & d lifestyle of d staff u see around). When u get to d bridge, then u can cross it. BTW, are u really in love wit ur profession or d money; cos there shuld be an equilibrum. Otherwise, there's a red flag

Dunno y u guys don't realize he's asking cos he's doing his homework which is one of the first things u should do when you get an invite. The salary question is part of the interview question. Use ur heads and stop criticising every friggin thing. That's what religion and politics sections are for

i don't see anything wrong in the Op question. Knowing how much a company pays before going for interview whether 1st 2nd or last just shows he wants to have his facts right so as not to mess up when asked the salary question.
If you have the answer help him out and if you dont jst view and move ahead, no need to call him names.
Wish you all the best @ OP

Are you guys going nuts? Do you want them to under-pay/ short-pay me? Or is it when I am negotiating salary amount with them, then I should log on to Nairaland, and ask, abi?

As rightly stressed by some here, I need to get my facts right before proceeding, so I don't goof. Meanwhile, I don't have that stewpid mindset of failing during the interviews, if I should start then I must get the job (with God). Joooorrrr ooo!

So lemme ask again, any idea of Jumia's salary for a fresh graduate

Now do you want NL dictates the amount Jumnia or Jumia to pay her workers?

Seun: I bet it's mouth-watering. They are great spenders.
For where...jumia/rocket internet? lol. I once rejected an offer from them. I guess great spending is relative to individuals.

You have not even been interviewed and you are asking of how much you would be paid. In my case, I was interviewed by 3 foreigners, a german, Spanish and Frenchman.

Nigerians would likely interview you for entry level roles though.

I advise you ask the interviewer at that stage. There recruitment is very fast. You could start work within 3days after being interviewed. You would also need to have your own laptop before you start. There dress mode is casual all through the week and you won't likely have a closing hour.

no offence bro but what are you saying? The salary question is almost a sure question that interviewers ask during an interview with only few exceptions.
So what then is your point?

at this rate the OP would not get the answer to his question.
For those of you telling the Op to wait an ask during his interview, i attended an interview sometime ago and when asked how much i would like to be paid i responded by asking the panel the salary range the company pays someone with a similar experience and qualification like myself. One of them looked at me and said 'do you know that it is rude to answer a question with a question'. They ended up calling me a LEARNER. And no i didnt get the job.

@op, just try and concentrate on getting through the interview. jumia pays her staff well.

you may have raised a flag with this your post as your interviewer may be reading. #just saying

@ OP as a fresh graduate, do you have any other professional qualifications? If the answer is NO, then you won't have much of a bargaining power unless you want to price your self out of a job. Please bear in mind that you are not the only one called for the interview.

As a fresh graduate, your bargaining power won't amount to much because the company will still need to invest in you and will already have a structured salary range for fresh graduates by the way. You can only negotiate if you have relevant work experience or certain skill sets that is hard to find in the market place e.g I.T skills.

Besides, have you worked before or currently working, if the answer is NO, then which salary will you use to negotiate as a base start?

I think you should be more concerned with presenting yourself as a top candidate for the job rather than this.

Best of luck anyway!

Most times when people who go for interview ask how much a coy pays, its cos they want to have an idea when d question pops up or to compare it with their current pay if already working.

@saxywale, dont mind d OP, he seems like juvenile - just like most of d commentators here. U know dem by their by their puerile thot process &infertile comments Just like a cheeky tot here was using a juvenile slang like 'friggin' for othets in a faceless forum like NL where u dont know WHO IS WHO. Do u know if am a top shotv@Jumia? Do u know if am one of d intervirwers. Or do u think Jumia ppl wont log in here &culd track d OP. Wat arrogant 'homework' is he doing? 'He wants to know their pay range so he knows whether to HONOUR THE INTERVIEW OR NOT.' What presumtuosness! Dont u know wat u want? Or do u think they will employ u if u dont match their criteria. @dat stage (IF U PASS) IS LARGELY IMMATERIAL. Birds of a feather, mostly new graduates wit feathers in their head &eho got a long way to learn but quick to throw mud @informed advice.
