lol. Like a lady on my list dt lost her mum. the day she lost her she notified her wall, tru out the burial process she uploaded pix and status of it. The most annoying part was when they were burying her, she snapped her siblings crying and uploaded it instantly with a caption of "goodbye mum". lol, instead of her to join them cry she was busy snapping her crying siblings and her mums corps. some galz are silly shar.

At last , FacebookCEO Mark Zuckerberg has given a big thumbs down to launching a dislike buttonon his social network.
Although the 30-year-old billionaire admitted the like button does not always cut it onFacebook, he said a dislike button would only inspire negativity.
A lot of times, people share things that are sad, or tough cultural or social things, Zuckerberg said during a one-hour live-streamed event at its Menlo Park headquarters, but added Facebook is exploring other options that would allow users to express sympathy, surprise and other such emotions.
Thursday’s event was the second Q&A with Mark town hall session — an event, it seems, that could become a monthly occurrence. During the sessions, Zuckerberg answered questions from both audience members and those on the social network.
Zuckerberg also addressed a mood study conducted by Facebook two years ago in which the social network set out to determine if positive and negative moods can be influenced by posts on the network as well as if these moods can be passed on to those who read the posts.
The findings, which were published this summer, caused quite a stir because the nearly 700,000 Facebook members involved were studied without their knowledge.
Zuckerberg said the study was carried out because several articles had been written about Facebook’s impact on its members’ feelings prior to that, and Facebook wanted to make sure it was negatively impacting society.
We don’t want to make people sad,” Zuckerber said. “That’s the type of thing our community should want us to test.
He said, however, that the social network should have communicated better about what it was doing.
Zuckerberg also revealed a few more personal details about himself, such as the fact that he wears contact lenses and often forgets to say thank you.
The CEO said he will participate in more town hall sessions next year.

The “father of videogames,” Ralph Baer, has died at the age of 92.
The German-Americanvideo gamepioneer died Saturday at his home in Manchester, N.H.
Although his family confirmed his death, no other details were offered.
Baer first explored using televisions to playgamesin 1966. It was his work that led to the creation of the Odyssey games console.
TV-maker Magnavox licensed the Odyssey which went on sale in 1972. It was the Odyssey that inspired other companies to create their own gaming consoles, the first of which was the Atari.
He was born in Germany and came to the United States with his family before the Second World War.
Baer invented many popular electronic games and had more than 150 patents in his name at the time of his death.
He was awarded the National Medal of Technology10 years ago for “his groundbreaking and pioneering creation, development and commercialization of interactive video games, which spawned related uses, applications, and mega-industries in both the entertainment and education realms.”

But for smaller rooms or homes, 5 GHz is the way to go: it offers much faster speeds, albeit in a shorter range.
2) Move your router to its ideal position.

Think high and centrally located. A tall shelf in the middle of a room is the best place for your router.

If your Wi-Fi router has antennas, and you need the signal to go through a wall, position the antennas in straight angles so they go right through the wall. Signals that travel through walls at an angle can severely reduce Wi-Fi speeds.

Also, it’s important to adapt to your surroundings — ceiling height, room size and certain building materials can adversely affect Wi-Fi speeds. Keep your router away from thick walls made of brick or concrete.

But the biggest enemies of Wi-Fi are water and windows. Nearby pipes and even plants (there’s water in all those leaves) can slow Wi-Fi to a crawl. Reflective surfaces can make Wi-Fi signals bounce at strange angles.
3) Make sure your router is secure.

Putting a password on your router or limiting which devices can access your network will keep Wi-Fi moochers from slowing down your network. Also, there are plenty of other good reasons to secure your router beyond faster Wi-Fi speeds.

4) Get a newer router.

Are you using the Wi-Fi router your cable company gave you? Did you buy your router during the Bush administration? You probably aren’t using the best technology.

New routers have smart technology that can send signals directly to devices (instead of beaming signals randomly around a room). They offer faster speeds, multiple frequencies, and smart home technologies that know which of your gazillion connected devices to give priority to (i.e. whatever device you’re streaming Netflix on).
5) Buy a network extender.

Cheaper than a new router, but still somewhat expensive, network extenders can boost a signal in those hard-to-reach corners of your home. You can even use some old routers as a network extender if you have one lying around.

HOW IT WORKS

StoreDot sprang from research into Alzheimer's at Tel Aviv University.

Researchers discovered naturally occurring crystals two nanometers in diameter that show interesting properties.

The crystals, short chains of amino acids called peptides, can store a charge or emit light, are easy and cheap to make, and are non-toxic, the company claims.

The firm is working on using the crystals, which it calls NanoDots, for displays and semiconductors as well as batteries.



StoreDot's founder and chief executive Doron Myersdorf said These are new materials, they have never been developed before. Company investors include Chelsea soccer club owner and Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich who is said to have spent $10 million for the project.

So far, the company had accomplished two funding rounds which enabled them to reach a total fund of $48 million. Myersdorf added that they have also received a backing from a leading manufacturer of mobile phones. The name of the company was not revealed though Myersdorf said it is based in Asia.
The main reason why i support this battery tech is just because it is going to have a bigger impact on the car world, with the possibility of a car battery that can be charged in a few minutes as opposed to overnight, which could be a massive breakthrough for electric cars and the likes of Tesla.
The only disadvantage about this according to a statement by Doron Myersdorf, the founder and CEO of StoreDot, notes that phones boasting such super-quick charging tech would cost around $100 to $150 more than current models -- so these batteries won’t come cheaply, at least to begin with.
