wonlasewonimi: He wouldn't go to Dubai with Toke, and paid for oloshos in NY. I am very sure he wouldn't have supported building N15b government house and approved 160m to buy SUVs.
youngrichnigga: Peter Obi would have done better because there was no skeleton the Western powers could use on him to force his hands to take unconscientious decisions that this administration has taken. Tinubu bargained with the Western powers (UK, US,France etc) and their institutions like World Bank, IMF etc to implement all he is implementing in lieu of not releasing the damaging Chicago evidence and the drug saga truths that would have killed his presidential dream. Don't forget successive governments fought against it's total removal because they knew the implications and the IMF and World Bank couldn't force their hands because they did not have skeletons in their cupboards. We are in for a long ride because he cannot renege on those promises; that's why those who voted him should have known that the baggage he carries were not child's play, we await the next draconian policy from him
mrvitalis: 1) he would not have floated the naira like a an uneducated person like tinubu did
He has articulated what he would have done differently and it was plausible it would have worked and naira would be 800 max right now
2) minimum wage would have been sorted out since
3) this corruption nnpc buying petrol and selling at a loss won't happen, we would have subsidies ( we still do) but the system would have faced massive anti corruption spot light
4) there would have been improved security infrastructure and formation bases on merit
5) obi government according to him would have provided low interest access to credit to key industries
6) obi would have visited all the state in Nigeria
7 ) 5 minimum unscripted media briefly would have taken place since may 29
I can go on and onw
If Peter obi is the president NOW, we will have been saying..TINUBU WOULD HAVE ....Tinubu supporters will have been opening threads on how he would have done better.who knew this during OBJ regime
Obi always said that subsidy will be ended once measures are in place to cushion the effect.
Obi talked about granting licenses to modular refineries and people who're currently refining crude oil illegally. He said those licenses will only be granted on the bases that those people will be selling their refined products in naira, thus saving Nigerians from being exposed to the strength of the dollar.
Jokerman: Tinubu did not win Lagos and Osun state...
That tells you that many didn't want the confused Man.
If not Fashola, Lagos won't have transformed to what it is today.
During Tinubu's Lagos, no visible changes we were still using Molue and Oshodi Oke was not a safe place.
Its not lateef jakande again, its fashola.
So,he no longer pocket lagos.
However, that he lost osun and Lagos only shows that YORUBAS are not tribalistic like a tribe that gave their son 90%votes and still blamed others of Tribalism
Cyberterror: I am sure he is calling out the Igbos because if you look at the presidential result, it is only in the south east zone that the other two presidential candidates couldn't win a state due to their religious and ethnic backgrounds that was not in tandem with Igbos. Don't also forget that Peter Obi once told Anambara people not to vote for Ngige of ACN because he was in a Yoruba party. Tribalistic sentiments is particularly most prominent in the east.
nairalanda1: It is because Lagos was the capital that it has advatages other states do not.
Also, most South western states, like other states, cannot build a similar project. The cash is not there. They would either take massive loans, or charge high taxes.
Lagos was the capital just 1/5 of Lagos not Lagos state. Rivers state was created along with Lagos state in 1966.
Why was Lagos choosed as capital and not your home town?....Lagos has been Lagos before it was vhoosed to be capital.
Rivers cans also undertake such a project. STOP GIVING YOUR USELESS GOVERNOR INCLUDING OTHER SOUTHWEST GOVERNORS FLIMSY EXCUSE!
nairalanda1: Well, Lagos can raise cash in tax for the rail, (and even borrow self). Anambra cannot, because it does not have the populaiton, so stop the mockery.
If Lagos was never the federal capital or the main port, it would have been as broke as Anambra.
I no vote for OBi, i no be igbo, I no vote for tinubu or atiku, so don't go there.
😆..who cares about who you voted for...and nobody cares what you claimed to be your fvcking tribe on this faceless forum.
Why signing MOU and promise the poor people of Anambra,if the state has no means of generating IGR to sponsor that?...The man plan was to SCAM as usual!
By the way, someone grew Lagos IGR,it was never like that January 1999....the EKWENSU according chioma never changed the IGR of Anambra 8yrs after ruling that state.
By the way,why was your own home town not chosen as the capital?...The Britain saw a thriving lagos and they made it the capital and why has lagos even became greater 33yrs after he seized to be the capital??
And for your information,Awolowo and yorubas never wanted lagos to be the capital of the country. Go and read History. Awolowo even suggested that they should choose another neutral place and he would sponsor the construction!
nastyesco: By your response I can tell you lack comprehension. First my target audience are illiterates who can’t read/write but then I am writing on Nairaland….pray tell, how am I misinforming them. I would love to break your response further at how ludicrous it sounds but it’s not the effort.
No..you are not informing them...you are lecturing them ni 😆 Mumu....
Red line that is done and dusted..IGNORAMUS! or IGBORAMUS 😆
COMPAQ: I was well trained, otherwise I'd have insulted you! Don't you read news? What do you use your phone for? The red line is complete!!!
He knows...his target audience are the illiterate okrika sellers who beleive everything they read on the internet...he intentionally wanted to misinform them
vicshub: My brother e reduce my hardship oh. My transit time from work to my house has been reduced by 2 hours especially between CMS and mile 2. Before, I will spend almost 3 hours because of akpbon, contain and Doyin traffic. I go even hide my phone make boys no come collect am. Now I spend just 25min between marina and mile 2 by train and with AC self. Abeg I dey enjoy am oh
vicshub: You wey no get glory again. Lol. Don't you ponder why your only place of perceived relevance is nairaland? What I am saying to you is not based of what you posted. Please run to God for help. I pray you stop deceiving yourself on time
😆....the fools judge people by social media presence.
One again...WHERE IS THE MONORAIL THE EKWENSU PROMISED ONITSHA
Splashme: 1) Are Iddo and Ebutte Metta not in the same area ... what's the distance between them?
2) Agreed
3) Not true sir. Some of the stations were built by FG eg Agbado, Ebutte Metta etc 4) Agreed
SUMMARY: the rail line is a federal govt project except for those few extras from Lagos State govt .
You have little knowledge about the project. When red line starts working,LASG metro will only stops at Lagos terminals which are 8 in total. Lagos ebutte Metta terminus is in oyingbo..they are currently building a new terminus at Agbado.
What you called few EXTRA is not few bro..Go yo YouTube and type LAGOS RED LINE..YOU will see alot of videos done by people on the projects for good 2 to 3yrs
ElSudani: Think of the rail lines as roads. Going by this logic, is Ekenedili Chuckwu or Ifesinach owned by the Federal government since none of these transport companies built the roads? If you don't understand something, always ask. There's no point in Lagos building separate lines if they can use the ones already in place. Otherwise, Ekenedili Chukwu would have to build his own roads before he can go anywhere.
By the way..the 8 mega terminals and overpasses and the rail extension from ebute Metta to Oyingbo are purely Lagos additions to the line. Lagos only shares the tracks, all other infrastructures are separated.
gentleg87: Still wandering how this will reduce hardship😰 it’s not free of charge…. And with time exuberant charges will be the order of the day…. Gooduck to everyone 🥂
Hmmmm.....see rudimentary brain and intelligence 😆
Mryacks: Your point is even more valid than his. I said the same thing. Move departments around the country. But in this instance Ndume, he is speaking purely from a regional/ethnic/political angle, etc
RenaissanceGuy: Very true about the issue of congestion. We need to decongest Lagos, by moving at least 50 FG agencies currently headquartered there, to other states of the federation. That would spread development instead of concentrating economic activities in Abuja and Lagos.
