steppins: Every ordinary Nigerian want them to go? This comment is the most ridiculous comment I've ever heard. They want igbos to go and yet, they carry ipob matter for head? Seun banned IPOB topics at first, but then he realised the traffic it drives to his site is too good to ignore and now he pushes them to the front page more than any other thing. The reason why Biafra and IPOB hasn't faded away is because of the way the rest of Nigerians vehemently opposes it. Believe me, if they supported it or gave Ultimatum jointly like the northerners did, half of the Biafran supporters would probably think about what they would lose and withdraw their support. But since it's opposed by every other Nigerian, the Igbos realised their importance to Nigeria and the agitation has increased. Don't talk about our politicians, they have a lot to lose, so they would never support Biafra. Egypt and Libya did not need their politicians for the revolution and neither do we. Our voices must be heard whether our politicians like it or not. Victim mentality. you just tag my comment "ridiculous" and when I retaliate now,you will say,we hate IGBOs or we carry your matter for head..... your lord and savior will be making comment like this and you think boys will not reply him. If you dont promote your agitation with hate speech directed to other tribes, people will will not carry your matter for head

proeast: @fratermathy, you forgot that Igboland along with Nile delta in Egypt used to be Africas densest regions? You forgot that Tinubus own census in Lagos revealed that Igbos outnumber yorubas in Lagos? You forgot that Igbos occupy all of SE, 70% of Rivers & 40% of Delta & are also found in Benue, Edo & Cross River while they constitute 2nd largest ethnic group in most places outside their homeland? Have you been to any market in the cities of the ECOWAS subregion & beyond, did you observe the huge Igbo population? Do Yorubas travel more than Igbos? Did slave trade not affect Igboland as it affected Yorubaland? Nigerian census figures is mere fabrication from the pit of hell. Igbos are more populous than yorubas, and thats a fact! Why not tell us the economic benefit of creating more mushroom kingdoms when kings are just ceremonial traditional figures? How will the 32kings contribute to the development f Ibadan? How will they attract investors and make up for the extra cost in a state that is struggling to pay salaries?
I bet your alma mater is poly Ibadan with this kind of backward reasoning.

Basic123: Ibadan is too big to have one oba.The well educated formal oba Oba samuel odugade supported it before he died because he saw it has precursor to ibadan state. But he couldn't carry out the reform because he has no power to do so.only a governor has the power.Ask hypocritical ladoja himsel, did he not conceptualize it during his tenure?....That is why HRM,Oba lekan Balogun was of the opinion that he is just not happy that the reform didnt happen while he was the governor!
The olubadan will now be addressed as Imperial majesty .....while the smaller obas under him will be addressed as his royal majesty while the formal baales will be addressed as his royal highness.
The system is not strange. The same thing is obtainable in ile-ife where the formal baales now answer Obas! |

You sound more ignorant with each contribution You are the one making fool of yourself here due to your poor knowledge!....go to odo otin local government in osun state, the local government alone has 20 independent Obas. captleonerd: are you OK at all? Ibadan has been a kingdom long before ajimobi was born. Who is he to change the tradition and divide the kingdom? 30something obas? The joke is on you Ehn ehn, what does that mean.Olubadan people could have decided not to become Oba in the first place, because tradition of ibadan is to have "Baale olubadan" untill 1959 when awolowo crowned the then baale olubadan to become Oba! I dont think you are ok,the current system was designed in 1959 and its subjected to amendment only by the state government.Read your history wella. The 30 Obas are under olubadan and he will be address as his imperial majesty just like an emperor,a title which in yoruba language is known as "Oba nla ti n fi oba je"...in english,it means "A great oba that crowns another oba"!,non of the smaller obas will be crown in future without Olubadan approval.Just like oba of obalufon and Abeere is to ooni and some other obas is to soun of ogbomoso. Try and read about the amendment, dont just rush to crucify ajimobi due to your hatred for him on a concept that was actually bought up by the former oba to measure up with ooni, soun, alaafin and co with smaller Obas under them |

Restructuring favours yorubas more than any tribe. You
