His pension is paid from his RSA. As shown in the receipt.

His RSA balance is a reflection of the volume of his salaries over the years. It is no longer an obligation or duty of the govt.

If he exhausts it before he passes on, just as any other person that was in private sector, the payments will stop.

He is expected to have created atleast one more additional source of income for himself before he retired.

The only country in the world that strait of Hormuz affected extremely in-terms of importation is Japan.
Japan have to turn to the US for oil and deplete it's reserves.

In-terms of exports of LNG and crude oil, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait are extremely trapped.

Asides from the above mentioned countries, all other countries have found viable alternative passage as a short term substitute.

With the way IRGC is installing sea mines everywhere on the sea lane, I strongly believe the world will abandon the passage completely in the next few months.

Let Iran eat and drink it's strait of Hormuz, and choke itself further into stark poverty and starvation.

As per waiting for Trump to settle them with war reparations, they will wait till eternity.

They should go and beg Saudi and UAE that have underwritten to compensate them even if if Trump fails to drop anything.

Starlink is overated and overpriced. In a city area like Abuja, Starlink runs at around 49.6 to 50 Mbps.

I think our inflation problem is structural. How does government mop up excess cash from government. Government remains the heaviest cash 'pusher' into the economy. They are the ones causing the Inflationary pressures.

If you have a fuel fire it is expedient to turn off the source just as you fight the blaze. That I believe it is why the rate continues to remain stubbornly high for so long and I cannot see it headed down anytime soon.

The best fighters of inflation remains the private sector. They know where real value lies. Their spending tailors their earnings unlike government that has access to endless money trees. And the raised TB rates says it all.

My view is that it is good for the investor, fair to the government, but bad for the economy. I remain old school in the fact that debt is not a good thing overall for the mere fact is is hopelessly addictive.

I disagree on the part of the T/B if that is true.
Making your Treasury bills 'attractive' is not a great thing for this country. Debt is NOT a good thing. The topic is about raising your external reserve. That is positive energy. Rising T/B rates is negative energy. How should that be.

If your economy is getting better your debts should be getting cheaper to obtain not more expensive. You will be sending mixed signals.

The CBN raised TBs and OMO yields to as high as 20 to 25%. That was the bait.

The high yield rate attracted many foreign investors and as they were buying the TBs, CBN made it mandatory that their foreign funds must first be converted to Naira before placement is processed.

So our indegenous banks were quickly converting the FX from those investors into their own reserves.

One major aim of it is to mop off excess naira from the banking sector so as to reduce dollar or FX speculations that constantly lead to inflation.

That's the dynamic.

MPR being raised above 26% made TBs (Treasury bills) and OMOs high yields attractive. It also sparked foreign portfolio investments (FPI).

Also, diaspora remmitance and excess proceeds from crude oil sales contributes.

Oil prices went down instantly after making this announcement. Stocks on NYSE and other floors rose up.

A peace with Iran will save the lives and economy of US allies; Saudi, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain etc from total destruction from Iran. If US escalates the war, they will bear the cost majorly.

A peace with Iran will allow passage of oil via strait of Hormuz which makes Japan, South Korea, India and the rest to survive economically. They have almost exhausted their reserves.

Trump is under pressure from many quarters globally. Even within the US Congress etc to resolve the issue or pull out.

He indirectly administers the global economy. That's what you guys need to understand.

Trump's situation is different from IRGC clowns / thugs or Benjamin Nathanyahu whose only major intent is to destroy each other.

Nigerian Muslims are confused on this news. Should they be for or against it.

Saudi Arabia is generally regarded as the regional leader of the gulf region. So, it's understandable that major countries have to rally around them and protect them in this trying moment.

Houtis is controlling Yemen and becoz Saudi has tried to remove them b4 and replace them with a truly recognizable and indegenous govt, they have been having continuous beef and issues with Saudi.

Nigeria should not join this war in any way. And Nigeria is not wise even taking sides. We need to sort out many of our internal security and deep financial issues first.
