Kemi is trying to play along with the big daddy. No balls, no firmness. Just manipulative as expected. |
Even thou the subject narration is inaccurate. However, after misappropriating and siphoning country's resources. After removing subsidies that should make life easy for citizens. The next step is for Tinubu and Oloyede to be deducting monies anyhow from struggling individuals accounts without their knowledge or permission. People that are supporting this govt are sick honestly. |
Reference:You have given the guy a very proper answer. Correct. |
Tinubu was marked by Trump for removal. Trump would have served him the same food he served Maduro if Tinubu had thrown a jab back at Trump when he roared against Nigeria recently. Tinubu was wise and escaped the trap for now. He kept quiet all through and did not do anything to contest the external aggression. Venezuela, Iran, Nigeria are heavily under Trump's interest and watch. |

Obi is brilliant. . I also perceive him as a diplomatic leader. But most brilliant people are usually not strong-willed, determined and bold. You need the traits therein to lead a stubborn nation like Nigeria impactfully. Peter Obi, Femi Adesina, Yemi Osibanjo etc. Will give the ideas, but don't have the balls to stand by it to the tough end. |
manuelkel:Hi dear. Very rich people save very little but invest much of their funds. To be continuously rich, you have to learn to send ur monies on errands for continous multiplication. Happy New Year to you. |
The leading countries on that list were war ravaged countries. But now, they have been able to attract some trust and stability to their system. Even Zimbabwe and Benin republic are now growing well marginally. But here in Nigeria, the only thing our leadership know how to do is to steal funds, or kill industries with inflation, high running costs and tax, tax, tax. |
Ogun state should not destroy our handsome AJ for us o with their terrible evil roads. AJ, thank God for your life, pls take a quick flight back to the UK. |
In Hollywood, you see several male actors (Tom cruise, Arnold, Reeves, Stalon etc) buying expensive properties, cars etc in Los Angeles, New York etc. But in the Nigerian film industry it's only the female stars that are buying expensive houses, brand new cars etc. |
Only the US govt can arrest him. And am not sure that's a possibility with regards to International laws. The guy is bigger than President Tinubu in Nigeria. |
Why is this dude always restless and panicking each time there is a serious attack or headway against terrorism? He should shut up and let the country tackle the issue. |
If Tinubu cannot suspend that useless inhumane tax law to Nigerians, he will be impeached. He has proven to be a hyper greedy and selfish leader. Just concerned about himself and his collective slavish cohorts. If he can't fund his further expenditures, he should explore more borrowings. How can citizens of a country without war become so poor. Enough is enough. |
tiger28:Bro, are you talking about over taxing a people that 85% of them sees buying Chicken, Sandine, Fish and beans as luxury? The issue with Nigeria is not non-taxing or taxing, it lies with systematic deep and brutal corruption. It is messed up. If Tinubu taxed Nigerians 50% from January, I can tell you for fre that the derived proceeds will still be wasted and looted as usual. Thereby creating more stark poverty. The UK and some EU countries need to over-tax becoz they have noting to fall on. Nigeria have abundant mineral resources. We shouldn't be in this pressured state at all in the first place. And the way out is still not over taxing the over-stretched people. If he can't generate ideas for now, he may borrow more to fund his expenditure. I believe you are staying abroad or have some pipes to free politician monies. That why you guys talk like this. |
Emu4life:Yeah, that's the fact. Especially Boku, Justrite etc here in Lagos are becoming like RCCG. You see one at every 5 kilometer drive. |
Axis313:That is why an alternative to Dangote must remain. So that prices will remain competitive and reasonable. |
Mabuggi88:Lol! Same thing actually came to my mind too. It's well. That lady was all over him in his apartment. That was the last time we heard anything meaniful abt him. |

AfDapone:In the long run, it will be inevitably very messy at both ends. |
Dangote outlayed about $20 billion on the refinery facility, and later purchased about 4,000 ($470 million) CNG powered trucks. I believe his anticipation was to significantly carry the refining and supply chain load of the downstream sector of Nigeria's oil and gas. In my opinion, Dangote obviously saw that NNPC and the regulatory authority kept circumventing his plan despite spending such huge sum. He said " I am fighting for my survival". That's what made him become so radical and restless. For me, he didn't do proper feasibility study before buying that much trucks, despite the concerns that lead to the need for it. Also, it is also very wrong for Dangote to be flagging Farouk's family matters in such a business context. Afterall, all of them have dirty linen. Every Nigerian funded the Dangote refinery project via CBN's FX subsidies and virtually COT free transactions on his accounts. Don't let's go into the means of his capital acquisitions. He needs to be careful, because Tinubu can be unpredictable and won't allow Dangote to have his way unchecked as previous leaders. |
Emmy000seun:Thank you for such a response. Spot on. 10 years ago in Nigeria, basic meat and food was not a luxury o. |
judewrites:AJ could beat DD if he did not underrate him and went very technical and clinical with decisions. |
The guy (JP) said AJ has a glass chin. Am so glad AJ has removed his jaw now to teach him a lifetime lesson. Mind you, AJ was just punching at 50%. So that it will look entertaining. |
GasAndOilTheory:Ukraine can never win. Unfortunately, their ground was just used (by US & NATO) as means to waste Russia's military and economic resources. They should have known better. But their leader I believe was more interested in the funds that he is gaining from the war. Totat meaningless war. |
N58 Trillion (for over 220 million people) is about $39 - $40 billion. Nigerian recent leaders have truly made a huge mess of our value. That's the budget status of the entire nation for 2026. While Elon Musk alone is worth $680 billion. |
From the assessment of the topic on this thread alone, we can generally confirm that about 95% Nigerians are not interested or approving of Tinubu"s tax law. Hence, Tinubu should for once in his life be humane and stop being just greedy. If he can't lead Nigeria without over buddening the people with exceesisve taxes, he should simply resign. It's not by force. |
CodeTemplarr:Your points are quite good. However, currently, China is the number 1 with research institutions in the world. Infact, 8 out of 10 of a sample proportion are coming out of China. Also, China is the country producing the highest number of engineers globally currently. They are also the most manufacturing country in the world right now with over 30% of global industrial manufacturing coming from China. Most Nairalanders, don't do constant research. That's why many of our submissions on this platform years behind in reality. China has inched the US in most parameters and are at a faster progressive rate, while the US in status has a declining commitment in most parameters relatively. |
China refused to buy chips from Nvidia USA last week or so. They are now creating their own advanced alternative. Robotics, AI, space tech, automobiles, e-commerce, computers, construction, military, aerodynamics, int trade etc. They are honestly marching the USA bumper to bumper now in virtually all key development sectors. Clearly, the world should just brace up for a change in order. |
Blitzking:Dangote said it's either his refinery goes down at this point, or the cabal / guild of PMS importers goes down. That's why he has become brutally vocal and restless. His $20billion is at a brink of liquidity issues currently. The FG tax input considerations and supply chain is yoking his neck. Remember he further invested in many trucks for anticipated supplies and control. This battle is messy. Dangote may win a little now, but war continues. |
The guy is aproximately 2 times bigger than the Nigerian national budget for 2025. That's serious. Great man there. |
SultanYoung:Lol. You are a clown like him if you think that rice and beans is what makes the life of general people. |
deeva2:But the Tinubu that knows how to play politics and hijack power by all means, what has he done to benefit an average Nigerian? What is the use of the power that you gain, if all you do and plan is to inflict more pains on your people and siphon funds? |
