He’s removing these subsidies to qualify for world bank loans. The hardship is very unnecessary, government can fight corruption that’s stealing the country dry but they chose the other way that inflicts hardship because the people will adjust as usual.

If Americans left their government to do whatever they liked the way we adjust to government policies in Nigeria, there will also be a lot of bad governance over there

Kenyans opposed hikes the other time, government now has to do the needful because putting the burden on the people has become more difficult

Nigerians are not ready.

Let them continue to suffer.

They even just voted APC in Edo state yesterday as gov. Despite all this great evil.

sad Even though I'm a born again Christian, no sane Christian should support the bombing of people's devices without provocations. Isreal is bitting more than it can chew in the middle east and I hope the US government call the isrealis to order before things go sour. The patience of the Muslim folks doesn't necessarily mean cowardice. They are applying restraints so as not set destabilize the region. Imagine a situation where Iran decide to mobilize Arabs to fight Isreal? Isreal should thread with caution and henceforth I will stop supporting Isreal and my visit to Jerusalem later this year is canceled sad

Clown!

So Libya should sell to Nigeria at subsidized rate?

So if Libya can subsidize to make life better for it's citizens, what is the excuse of our useless govt? cry

Tinubu's paid agents, BATerians are not interested in that information.

If it was sold at #5,000 per litre, it would have been news to use and justify this senseless and wicked fuel pump price hike Tinubu is inflicting on Nigerians.

They will claim that it is being smuggled out to neighbouring countries. Why are those nations up there not using such narrative?

Christianity is a loving religion.

Jesus is love, God is love. .

The yoke of Jesus is easy, His burden is light.

He can cloth you, bless you, and set you free.

That's right. Anyone putting his or her hopes on APC or PDP or Lamba party is on a long thing. Power belongs to God, and He gives it to who He wills, not a particular religion, tribe, group or denomination. Get this wisdom ingrained into your skulls against 2027 please.

God allows a Babylonian, Philistines, Egyptian King over the Israelites when they need to serve their judgement for rebellion.

He gives a good king, when the land deserves it.

In this emilokan regime, I just huzzle, and pray to God to make me, and my family covered and blessed.

Nigerians are hopeless people, and they don't learn. It's a waist of time to pity most Nigerians coz they are deceptive and difficult people.

How can any sane man / woman still collect money, or any inducement and still thump print for APC? Despite the evil your eyes have seen.

I am not partisan, but this is a mystery.

Christlike01:
The misguided leaders at the NLC were advised to negotiate for a reduction in fuel prices, but instead, they sat with Tinubu's ruthless government and bargained for their own selfish interests—a N70,000 allowance! You have no idea yet; your salary won’t even cover your transportation expenses alone!

God bless your knowledge bro.

They were selfish. They are the major reason entire Nigerians are suffering more right now.

That is what those clowns don't get.

In effect, most Nigerians that are suffering now don't even belongs to NLC.

Instead of them to bargain better things like PMS price reduction and naira valuation issues that will benefit everyone.

EV is of great value in our kind of cities. Hardly any of us cover 60km to and from work.

So an EV of at least 200km will last for weeks before recharge.

That's unlike America with very big cities and therefore requires more km coverage..

That's the idea bro.

I will prioritize buying that car very soon. So that Tinubu and NNPCL no go dey harass me anymore with their useless fuel price vagaries.

Their wahala is too much.

I stopped using energy from petrol driven generators in my house since about 4 years now. Just need to finish the vehicle diversion thing.

NIGERIA POLITICAL LEADERS END INSECURITY NOW RAVAGING THE NORTH AND OTHER PARTS OF NIGERIA.

AND THEN INVEST IN MASSIVE MECHANIZED AGRICULTURE.

Priortize Agriculture.

There is hunger and hardship in Nigeria due to lack of investment in Agriculture.

This will bring down the high cost of food crop in the market.

If Nigeria become a major food crop export like Ukraine is doing in Wheat the valued chain will be translated into economic gains and the foreign exchange of Nigeria will increase thereby adding more value to the Nigerian naira.

Have you forgot about the issue of herdsmen and how they have killed hundreds/thousands of farmers in the fields?

That insecurity must be addressed first before farming can have a stronghold again.

Politics / Re: Three Marketers To Import 141 Million-Litres Of Petrol by Basicend: 9:12am On Sep 18
nairalanda1:

I know tinubu is a bad leader, but naira issues go way back before 1999.

Has to do with our resource dependency.

No African country has a strong currency because most of them are resource dependent, not industrial producers

Naira issue here is huge.

The variance of N575 (Buhari) to N1650 (Tinubu) to $1 is extremely huge.

That is what has killed almost all businesses in the country. Esp. Big companies.

Dangote therein, is fighting for the survival of his company, otherwise, he may trade below profitability after meeting overhead costs.

Ok ,o.

Plus which government go pay subsidy for that kind thing, with debt service eating 68% of our revenue? The kind of government wey wan kee us.

Bro, the issue is naira devaluation, which has multiplied into all those things you mentioned.

Tinubu should not have destroyed the naira that way.

Dangote will factor-in his loan repayment cost into the end price.
