:::::Back to the post:::::: Steve Jobs will be regretting why he left his company in the hands of lazy tech innovators. No improvement since 2011. If Iphone should continue in this trajectory, I bet in the next 5yrs another brand (Tesla) might take over them (if Elon musk is really serious ). The only gadget that spontaneously ship out innovation and tech is SAMSUNG. Lately, Google is coming up! You need to see their latest releases!! Redmi (Xiaomi) is more innovative than Samsung, and with relative quality. They will takeover global market share from Samsung in the next 2 or 3 years. Their strength is pricing. Huawei have the infrastructure and innovation, and would have taken over as global market leader if not for Trump that was scared and cut-off google from it. If Huawei was not stopped, Apple could have been moving towards a huge slope by now. Just like blackberry. |

With just my one-month salary. Although I will be extremely broke throughout that month.
Since Buhari and Tinubu came into power, even your entire salary is not enough to transport you to work now, not to talk of touching a brand new phone. |

OLamylove: But VDM said Osimhen is Better than Haaland Osimhen and Haaland are almost same type IMO. Both are aggressive, high-energy strikers that can finish chances, but they are not much skillful. If Osimhen had gone to Chelsea, I believe the battle for golden boot will be between the 2. Osimhen is still more mobile with the ball than haaland while Haarland is a little better finisher. Osimhen will contribute to team play better than Haarland. |

If you don't have enough funds to take care of a woman, don't take up marriage these days. Pray, and ensure God is backing you up for it also.
Don't think of having children if you can't father one financially too.
Otherwise, just enjoy your bachelorhood.

If naira is destroyed via immature floating, Nigeria's economy will be utterly collapsed.

Don't allow the naira to get worse than this, Nigeria will not survive it's economic impact. |

Rossikk: THIS DANGOTE REFINERY OFFICIALLY MAKES NIGERIAN AN INDUSTRIALISED COUNTRY.
Nigeria is now self-sufficient in, and is the largest manufacturer and exporter of refined petroleum products and petrochemicals in the African continent of 1.4 billion people.
All fuels needed by African countries at a cheaper price, from diesel to aviation fuel, is available and deliverable from the Dangote Refinery, Lagos.
This is HUGE.
Every single one of the 54 African countries would LOVE to be in this position we are in.
We are indeed the Giant of Africa, and will lead Africa to brighter days. Bro, Try and check what other nations like South Africa, Egypt, even Tunisia have done in this regard before exposing ignorance here. So only this single feat has now made Nigeria giant of Africa again. . |

nairalanda1: And our debt from pegging the naira would have been higher than usual, and our debt servicing would be off the charts.
Again, by August 2022, we had a big problem. 90% OF Our revenue was going to debt servicing...so the naira had to be devalued eventually.
But even then, the value of naira has nothing to do with the debt NNPC owes. At the end, NNPC is losing money due to selling fuel below its market price, and government cannot pay the shortfall needed to cover the resulting loss.
Same problem even when the naira was 'better'. What you dont know is that he is still pegging the Naira, and pegging PMS price at same time now. And this time around, he is doing both at very ridiculous rates coz of the multiplier effect of letting it float off initially. Modalities should have been on ground first, and should have done more consultations. |

Politics › Re: Debt To Petrol Suppliers Threatening Fuel Supply - NNPC by Basicend: 12:06am On Sep 02, 2024 |
nairalanda1: The reason why there is a debt is simple.
Fuel is imported into this country at N1117 naira per liter, and the offical price at the pump is below N700. Heck even black market sells at N1000 per liter max
And at the end, NNPC sustains a loss doing so, and the government...thanks to a bad economy, corruption and the fact that Nigeria is not running an economy that earns money....can\'t pay enough to cover the loss.
That has been the problem for years.]
But because most Nigerians still haven't left OJota, they still want cheap fuel
As we can see, cracks be develop Oga, the core of the problem is making of the naira useless. The variance in real payment terms keeps getting wider as a result. The thinkless and clueless man you are trying to defend has no idea of what he has put himself into. He met naira at around #750 or so. If he had left it pegged at around that rate, the end price (landing cost) of imported pms now would still be at around N630. |
