As much as I’d like to disagree and slam Davido for being
cocky about this, there is a very big truth to his statement. I
honestly didn’t care much for the song till Davido jumped on
the remix with Lil Kesh and Olamide.
This statement is however bound to bring about a ripple
effects just like when Wizkid claimed that he is responsible for
making Saeon’s ‘Boogie down’ a hit.
The BET award-winning pop star was featured by label mate,
B-Red on his new single titled ‘Twerk’ and in the song,
Davido says: ‘…she dey dance ooo, but she forget say na me
make Shoki blow oooo.’
Before the release of B-Red’s ‘Twerk’ song, Davido was
featured on the remix of Lil Kesh’s ‘Shoki’ alongside Olamide
which dropped in July 2014 while the original version of the
song dropped in March 2014.
For 2014, ‘Shoki’ has been one of the stand-out songs with
singers, Orezi and Dre San also producing their own versions
of the song.
At the moment none of the different ‘Shoki’ singers including
Lil Kesh has responded to Davido’s claim of making ‘Shoki’ a
hit.

The ex-international insists that having a viable domestic
league in the country will affect the Super Eagles positively
Former Nigeria captain Sunday Oliseh has said the surest bet
for the country to produce another golden generation in
football is by developing the local league.
Defending champions Super Eagles failed to qualify for the
2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea following a
draw in their last qualifying game against South Africa.
Oliseh, who played 63 times for Nigeria said country’s football
house must be put in order else the Super Eagles will
continue to crawl.
"We have got technical problems and administrative problems
- it is too much for one nation, even if you are Nigeria,” Oliseh
told BBC Sport.
"At the moment it is bleak. We need to face up to the job and
get organised."
"During the 1990s a lot of the players were products of the
Nigerian league. Those who were playing in Europe had only
left two or three years before. Myself, I had moved to Europe
only four years before the 1994 World Cup.
"It was not as if it was Europe that made us - the Nigerian
league produced us, it was so competitive then, it was viable
and credible.
"The national team does not create players - you select your
best players from your clubs to play in the national team.
"But now our attention is more focused on the national team
and we have neglected the domestic league, that is the major
problem in Nigerian football.
"If we cannot get the league in order we will never have
another golden generation."
The former Juventus and Borussia Dortmund star suggested
that to move the solve the problems militating against the
growth of football in Nigeria, round peg must be placed into
round holes.
"To fix it we have to get our house in order and it is not too
farfetched, the solution to this. For example, if we have a
Football Federation president who is doing well, let's leave
him in the job,” he continued.
"It is great that Nigerian are passionate about football, that
they have opinions like a coach. But in reality, everybody
thinks they know football - not because they play football but
because they know football. It doesn't work like that.
"We need to let people who are technicians do the technical
work. If you are going to talk about tactics or physical, let
that be somebody who has that expertise,” he concluded.

Lionel Messi scored a superb hat-trick as Barcelona came
from behind to rout city rivals Espanyol 5-1 on Sunday

And with home pressure building before the break, Messi bent
an unstoppable effort into the bottom-left corner from 25
yards to restore parity on the stroke of half-time.
The visitors were somewhat lucky not to be reduced to 10
men in the 49th minute as Eric Bailly barged Neymar over

But it mattered little to Barca, who edged themselves ahead a

Messi 's first touch from Suarez's pass was heavy, but he

The Portuguese coach says his side "did not deserve" to lose
Saturday's game - their first loss of the season - and believes
the referee failed to control the hosts' time wasting
Jose Mourinho has blamed Newcastle 's ball boys for ending
Chelsea 's unbeaten start to the season with what he
perceived as time-wasting at St James' Park on Saturday.
A double from substitute Papiss Cisse put the hosts ahead
and, despite the Magpies being reduced to 10 men and Didier
Drogba scoring with time to spare, the Blues were unable to
find a late equaliser to cling into their record.
And the Portuguese boss was furious with the home side's
ball boys and their delaying tactics, even suggesting that the
match officials should have awarded more than the six
minutes of stoppage time that was added on.
"We wanted to play more football, but that was not possible
because a few things that I thought didn't belong any more to
top level football but still belongs - the ball disappears, the
ball doesn't come, another ball comes, the ball boys they run
away," Mourinho told BT Sport.
"These are the kinds of situation which our unfortunately still
part of the game. You didn't see that the ball disappeared?
They keep the ball, they hide the ball, we want to play, no
ball. When one ball comes the second ball appears again.

Suspected Boko Haram gunmen on Thursday (Dec 4) stormed
two towns in northeast Nigeria, raiding banks and burning
government buildings as well as political party offices,
residents told AFP.
Scores of gunmen dressed in military uniform arrived in
Bajoga, 60 kilometres from Gombe city in a convoy of 20
vehicles at about 7:00am (2pm Singapore time). Troops
managed to push the attackers out and they then drove
towards the town of Ashaka, five kilometres near the border
with Yobe state to the northeast.
Both raids came after an attack on the Yobe state capital,
Damaturu, on Monday, which left more than 150 people dead,
including 38 police and six soldiers. Militant fighters in that
raid are thought to have come from the Buni Yadi area in the
southern part of Yobe, which Boko Haram has controlled for
some time.
Although not as badly hit by Boko Haram violence as Yobe,
Borno and Adamawa states, Gombe has seen a number of
attacks, including a bus station bombing in October which
killed at least eight. Ashaka, which is home to a giant cement
works owned by French group Lafarge, was hit on November
4, when fighters stole huge quantities of dynamite and several
pick-up trucks from the plant.
In June, Boko Haram deployed its first female suicide bomber
when a middle-aged woman detonated her explosives outside
a barracks in Gombe city.
The two attacks on Bajoga and Ashaka fit a pattern of almost
daily violence by the militants, who have taken over more
than two dozen towns in the three worst-affected states in
recent months. Boko Haram has frequently raided banks for
funds to buy weapons, while burning down police stations,
government and political party buildings is a sign of their
opposition to secular rule.
In Bajoga, residents said the militants shouted “Allahu
Akbar” (God is greater) and fired indiscriminately before
burning down a police station in a three-hour battle with
troops. “They raided two banks and set fire to offices of
political parties. They also set sections of the local
government secretariat on fire,” said resident Babani Ashiru.
Another resident, Sani Dankani, said the sound of gunfire and
explosions forced him to flee into the nearby bush. “From
where I’m standing, I can see billows of black smoke coming
from different parts of the town,” he added. Troop
reinforcements were sent from Gombe and a military jet
which bombed the militants forced them to withdraw, said
local schoolteacher Sa’adu Balarabe.
Residents in Ashaka reported heavy fighting between troops
and the gunmen in the town from about 11am. “All we can
hear is sounds of guns and explosions,” said Samaila Adnan.
“Heavy fighting is now going on between the gunmen and
soldiers. A military jet is encircling the town,” added another
local, Altine Badamasi.
Since the previous attack on the Lafarge works, more troops
were deployed to the town to try to prevent further attacks,
residents said.

Didier Drogba and Loic Remy both found the net against
Tottenham in the absence of the Brazil-born Spaniard to
preserve Chelsea's six-point lead at the top of the league
Jose Mourinho has praised his Chelsea players for their
performance without Diego Costa in Wednesday's 3-0 win
over Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
Replacement Didier Drogba and substitute Loic Remy - along
with Eden Hazard - found the net as the Blues comfortably
saw off their London rivals to preserve a six-point lead over
Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
And Mourinho insists he was never worried by the absence of
top scorer Costa - who missed out through suspension -
because he trusted that the rest of his team would step up.
"Did you remember Diego Costa today? I didn't," said
Mourinho.
"We need Diego Costa but our mentality is the right mentality.
You don't cry about it. You give responsibility to the others
and they respond in the best way."
Drogba stole the headlines in Costa's absence, setting up
Hazard for the opening goal and scoring the second himself,
and Mourinho was full of praise for the veteran Ivorian.
"It's remarkable," he added. "First of all he's a team player,
after that he's one of these players with an old days
mentality. He's not selfish, not vain, a humble guy. He plays
for the team, fights for the team. He's fantastic.
"When he comes from the bench for the last couple of minutes
because the team needs him, he does it with the same
mentality as when he starts against Tottenham. Fantastic.
"He is going to finish his career at Chelsea and it looks to me
like he will stay here doing other things.
"I played against him last year and I could feel the potential
he still has, so I'm not surprised. I knew he would adapt very
well to this important role in the team from a mental point of

The sense of relief around Old Trafford was palpable as Robin
van Persie netted his first goal in four games, rifling an
unstoppable, trademark left-footed drive into the top corner as
Manchester United sauntered past Hull City on Saturday.
It was the performance that Louis van Gaal, and supporters,
have been waiting for from a striker who had evoked the
talismanic magnetism of Eric Cantona in his maiden
campaign with the club, but who has struggled to live up to
that billing more recently.
Van Persie’s malaise has been such that he was a major
doubt to even start against Hull – one of Radamel Falcao, a
constant fitness worry, or youngster James Wilson were
expected to be preferred – but validated his selection with his
first and only goal in the month of November.
"It was a beautiful goal," said his manager afterwards, "and
I’m very happy because he needed that."
As the adage goes, form is temporary but class is permanent,
and the Dutchman’s effort showed that his explosive, match-
winning brilliance is still bubbling beneath the surface –
though it remains to be seen whether his powerful strike
marks a return to his pomp, or is merely a flash in the pan of
a player on the decline, a reminder of a brilliance that was
once routine but is now all too rare.
From scoring a goal every 98 minutes (or 0.91 goals per 90
minutes) at his most venomous in the 2010-11 season, Van
Persie’s strike rate has fallen over time to one every 230
minutes (or 0.39 per 90 minutes) this season. Over that same
period the number of shots he takes has almost halved, while
his assist rate is down 75 per cent (from 0.36 per 90 minutes
to just 0.09).
Van Gaal might have expected Van Persie’s last-minute
equaliser against Chelsea at the tail-end of October to stir him
back to life, but he never built upon that goal. Instead he
drifted back to being ineffective and laboured once more,
culminating in a singularly peripheral performance away to
Arsenal. He can’t afford for the same thing to happen after his
latest strike.
Fortunately for Van Persie, Tuesday night’s opponents Stoke
City are a welcome adversary. The Netherlands international
has scored 10 times in nine appearances against the Potters
– there isn’t a current Premier League side against whom he
is more prolific – hitting the back of the net, on average, every
65 minutes. He could not have picked a more perfect
opportunity to turn his single, slump-ending strike at the
weekend into the beginnings of a goalscoring streak.
And that is exactly what he must do if he is going to save his
United career. Already the rumour mill is rife with speculation
that this could be his final season at Old Trafford – Inter, now
managed by Roberto Mancini, are the latest club to emerge
as an apparent suitor – while a potential new contract, as
revealed by Goal in November
, feels more like a club trying to tie down the player’s re-sale
potential rather than backing their man.
While Van Gaal is at the club, though, Van Persie is likely to
be too, even though he was overlooked for the captaincy and
must play second fiddle to Wayne Rooney. "I think he shall
always play [under] me," said the veteran coach of his
skipper, and it has increasingly become apparent that Van
Gaal’s attack consists of Rooney-plus-one.
That could prove problematic for Van Persie, who has always
had a rather uneasy partnership with the former Everton
forward. Their relationship is not of the SAS variety, they do
not dovetail naturally – the on-the-shoulder presence of
Falcao is perhaps a better foil for the United captain – and
Rooney’s goal on Saturday, set up by the Dutchman, was the
first time since November 2013 that they have combined to
score a league goal. Even then, Van Persie was crying for a
return pass as his strike partner wrapped his foot around the
ball.
That lay-off proved to be Van Persie’s first assist since
March and it is notable how much his all-round game has

Ronaldinho has praised Cristiano Ronaldo , saying he is a
"complete" player, but says "magic" Lionel Messi is better.
The Barcelona star and Real Madrid talisman have both been
named in the final three for the 2014 Ballon d'Or alongside

And Messi's former Barca team-mate insists that the
Argentina captain is the better of La Liga's superstars.

Real Madrid player, Jesé, is beginning to feel like a footballer
again, eight months on.
His return, following a long absence through injury, could not
have been better. The Real Madrid striker was back in action
in the Copa del Rey match against Cornellà, and hit the
ground running with a goal.
Ancelotti gave him some minutes to get him back into the
groove, the home-grown talent going on in the 57th minute to
replace Khedira, who had taken a heavy knock.
The Santiago Bernabéu crowd gave him a rousing welcome,
cheering him on for his long-awaited return.
Jesé was somewhat cautious in the initial actions, needing to
take things slowly coming back from his injury.
His goalscoring instinct is still very much intact, however. The
Spanish player got on the end of an assist from Isco to punch
through the defences of the Catalan side. It was the fifth goal
for Real Madrid to complete their landslide victory.
The player celebrated his strike with great excitement. First he
hugged his teammates and then ran over to share the
moment with the fitness coaches who have helped in his
return to the pitch.
At the end of the match, Jesé revealed his pleasure at being
part of the team again: "After many months of suffering, I'm
happy to be back and to score. I'm really happy".
