This is not just breaking news, it is also breath-taking but it is always our pleasure to bring you firsthand information so as to keep you abreast of happenings in and out of Nigeria. Research has it that the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo aka OBJ, has finally defected to the GMB-Driven party – APC. This is a shocker but speaking with the former President OBJ himself at his farm in Ota, he has given a few reasons why his defecting should not just be accepted by Nigerians but should also be applauded. Find his statement below: “I have reason to believe that most or should I say all of you are wondering why I have chosen to defect to the defunct APC and I must say that if I had been told that I would have to switch party some 5 years ago, I myself would have argued it. I believe in transparency and integrity but unfortunately, PDP is an opposite of such attributes. They dwell in deception and in the lowest form of debase if I may say. I believe change is what Nigeria needs and regardless of whether GMB can deliver or not, it is still change in a way. Nigeria needs to be delivered from a useless government that has taken over since I left presidency. If you have read my book, you will see that Jonathan is nothing different from my VP when I was president. Atiku was just a big time backbiter unknown to him that when you have people behind you, your back actually becomes visible to you. I want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to the leaders of the APC for accepting me as I am and I am proud to say that come 2015, APC is taking over Nigeria for good of us all. I am a civilian like you all now so I understand what it means to live in the suburbs as you are all aware that I stay nowhere else apart from my village here in Ota. Finally, I would like to implore all Nigerians that come 2015 Elections, VOTE GOOD GOVERNMENT NOT GOOD LUCK” SOURCE http://www..ng/2015/01/26/breaking-news-obasanjo-defects-apc/

The Blues threw away a two-goal lead to exit the FA Cup at the fourth round stage and the Portuguese coach has urged the media to be harsh in their assessment of his side Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has admitted he is "ashamed" after his side were knocked out of the FA Cup by League One side Bradford. Goals from Gary Cahill and Ramires had put the Blues two ahead in the first half before an unbelievable comeback by Phil Parkinson's side saw them score four times to claim a memorable 4-2 win. Mourinho had commented prior to the match that a defeat at Stamford Bridge would be a "disgrace" and he pulled no punches in his assessment of the humbling after the game. He told reporters: "In this moment, I feel happy for them [Bradford]. But I feel ashamed. And I think the players should feel the same. "I repeat the words that I used yesterday. 'In case we lose, it is a disgrace.' It is a disgrace. "It is unacceptable to lose to a team from a lower league. If I was you I would be very critical with the Chelsea manager and players. "In an ideal world this will affect us in a positive way. We have to win the next match. The Portugal star lashed out late on but the Wales winger won a penalty and scored it himself to snatch all three points Gareth Bale was the hero for Real Madrid as his penalty snatched a 2-1 win over Cordoba on Saturday after Cristiano Ronaldo had been sent off. Ronaldo was given a straight red card for kicking out at a Cordoba defender with the score deadlocked at 1-1 eight minutes from time at the Estadio Nuevo Arcangel on Saturday. However, Bale spared his team-mate's blushes when he converted from the penalty spot in the 89th minute after his own free kick had been handled - with Cordoba's Federico Cartabia receiving a second booking for that offence. Real therefore move four points clear of Barcelona ahead of the Catalans' trip to Elche later on Saturday, but Carlo Ancelotti will be concerned by his side's performance and the fact Ronaldo - who cut a frustrated figure throughout the clash - could now face a three-game ban for violent conduct. Real endured a dreadful start as Nabil Ghilas confidently converted from the penalty spot after Sergio Ramos handled Bebe's shot just three minutes in. Cordoba's confidence continued to grow after they had taken the lead, with Bebe, Ghilas and Cartabia looking particularly threatening on the counter. Manchester United flop Bebe almost put the hosts two goals to the good in the 18th minute, firing just wide of the post following a driving run into the penalty area. Despite appearing somewhat rattled by Cordoba's bold approach, Real eventually restored parity through Benzema just before the half-hour mark. The France striker stabbed home from close range after James Rodriguez's corner was flicked on by Bale. Real struggled to build upon their equaliser, however, with their star-studded frontline having little luck carving out clear- cut chances against a well-organised Cordoba defence. Ancelotti failed to inspire an improvement with his half-time words, as Cordoba remained just as threatening going forward. In fact, the hosts appeared the more composed of the two sides in attack and went close twice in quick succession in the 56th minute. Cartabia first smashed a fierce effort just wide of the top-left corner from 25 yards, before Bebe fired straight at Iker Casillas after a strong solo run. Their best chance came 12 minutes later, though. Florin Andone pounced on Raphael Varane's weak header and looped an effort over the approaching Casillas, but the ball bounced up and hit the bar. Cordoba appeared set to earn a well-deserved point when Ronaldo was dismissed shortly after - the Ballon d'Or winner reacting angrily to close attention from his markers during a free kick - but Bale was on hand to nick all three points with his late, late penalty. http://www.goal.com/en-ng/match/córdoba-vs-real-madrid/1821721/report

A retrospective look at the campaign pledges of the two leading presidential candidates, President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, and Gen Mohammadu Buhari ,rtd, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the past five days, showed a deluge of promises on how to move Nigeria forward. Unlike the pattern since the presidential campaigns commenced, the rhetorics were less confrontational and offensive from both parties this week President Goodluck Jonathan (PDP Presidential Candidate) SOKOTO: We will improve agriculture Jonathan “As President, my administration established 14 new Universities, four was built in the South while 10 was built in the North, yet they keep telling you I hate the North. If truly I hate the North and I do not want the children from the North to be like me, will I take such action”. “In the area of Agriculture, tell me of any government that has supported the North with several agricultural equipment and with billions in cash loans. If I don’t like the North, will they benefit up to 70percent of Agricultural reforms we are doing?’’ KEBBI: I’ll step up rice production President Jonathan promised that the rice revolution in Kebbi State would be stepped up to stop importation in Nigeria. “I want to plead with Nigerians not to mind all the criticisms against me and my administration to vote for us. Our achievements so far have been seen by Nigerians and the people of the north-west need to vote us back into power at the February 14 presidential elections. Part of our developmental plans for Kebbi is to step up the rice revolution in the state”. ZAMFARA: We will build an airport President Jonathan promised the people of Zamfara State a befitting airport if re-elected. “We must fix Bakolori Dam and irrigation project for our farmers. We will work with you to explore the solid minerals in the state to create jobs for the young people. We will also improve education and that is why we created a university in Zamfara State and we will make sure we step up on agriculture. That is why we also have a silo here; about 100,000 metric tonnes capacity. We will do everything to make sure we create jobs for you; to make sure that you are educated.” KATSINA: We built a federal university ‘’My administration was able to provide Katsina State a Federal University when it became embarrassing that as the cradle of western education in the country, the state could not boast of a federal university. ‘’Katsina State had produced the first female pilot among those currently being trained under the Petroleum Development Trust Fund (PTDF) and my administration has associated more with farmers more than any other in the country’s history. “We have challenges like many other countries in the world but we are still managing because of our focus. We will get through our challenges because we are working hard and you know it.” We have done well by building Almajiri’s schools, fighting desertification, youth unemployment among others in the state and the country in general.’’ KANO: Jonathan promises more Industries In Kano he said: “We are trying to create young business men and luckily we are in Kano, and if you talk about business, you remember people like the Aliko Dangotes, you can remember the Dantatas, the Rabius and others. We will surely work with you to encourage small and micro medium scale enterprises to make sure young people like you grow up to the likes of Aliko Dangotes. That is what we stand for, that is what we are working for. “We reassure you that working with you, we will surely continue to improve commerce and industry in Kano. We will make sure young people have jobs, our women will have jobs; and that the economy of Kano will continue to grow from strength to strength.” BAUCHI: Solid mineral development to receive priority At the Bauchi rally, he vowed to empower the youths. He said his government would focus more on the solid mineral development which is capable of providing empowerment to the youths of Bauchi State. General Muhammadu Buhari (APC Presidential Candidate) KANO: I will fight insecurity “Wherever I go, I speak on three fundamental issues; insecurity, unemployment and corruption because they are the main challenges bedevilling the country. So, I am using this opportunity to call on you, particularly the youth, to make sure you obtain your voter cards to enable you vote for us to assist you. All these noise will not help matters if you fail to come out and vote for the APC during the forthcoming elections in the country, ‘’ I am appealing to you; the damage done to this country is great. The level of unemployment, level of insecurity is intolerable. The journey has Buhari: Our situation must change! begun. It will take time, it will take patience, it will take support from you to make sure that we succeed. My administration will serve the people of this country judiciously, through improved healthcare delivery system, and quality education, to enable the citizens enjoy the dividends of democracy.’’ KADUNA: Protect your votes and shun violence The rally in Kaduna was an avenue to re-echo his calls on his supporters to ensure that their votes are protected. ‘’We are calling on you, on February 14, pick your voters’ cards, vote, protect your votes, escort your votes and wait. Anywhere I go, I speak about three things that are major challenges to us as a nation since the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came to power 16 years ago ‘’If we vote APC, we are helping ourselves. We will renovate and equip our schools and employ teachers. We will renovate our hospitals, equip them and supply them with drugs. We will rehabilitate the entire bad roads. By the grace of God, within two years into my administration, if elected, Nigerians will see a remarkable difference. We believe in democracy, and that is why in spite of the fact that we were short changed in 2003, 2007 and 20011, we did not ask anybody to go and kill or slaughter anybody, we went to the courts.’’ http:// www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/jonathan-buhari-2nd-week-tours-promises-issues/

In just a few months time they will again gather around a table for a meal, which they will call a 'friendship luncheon' or something similar, but that meal will in no way be friendly, at least not be in terms of the relationship between the two clubs' boards of directors, who are anything but the best of friends, something 'los Blancos' confirmed to MARCA yesterday. The relationship between the two boards has soured over the past few days. FIFA's investigation into Barcelona and their subsequent transfer ban, everything to do with scouting and signing Ødegaard, and Barça's alleged call to FIFA, have all played a part in the type of silent stand-off as yet unseen during Florentino Pérez's presidency. The Barcelona board believe that Real Madrid are behind the ban imposed on them by FIFA for breaching under-age transfer rules in the signing of players for the club's 'La Masía' academy. Bartomeu and Co. are convinced that the complaint did not originate at one of the clubs involved but at the Santiago Bernabéu. The Catalans' reaction was to send a report to FIFA so that the governing body investigates other Spanish clubs. The first club to go under the microscope is Real Madrid, followed by Atlético and Valencia. Los Blancos have already been asked twice to provide documentation but this has in no way flustered the club's board. "Everything we do here is completely legal", they said. They went on to add that Barcelona simply want revenge and have reported other clubs out of spite. http:// www.marca.com/en/2015/01/24/en/football/spanish_football/1422098191.html

ABUJA — Chairman of the defunct Presidential Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu has said that the party’s presidential candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari was cleared for primary election strictly on the provisions of the 1999 Constitution as amended. Besides, he said that the affidavit produced by Buhari during the screening exercise provided every conviction needed to clear him. Onu also added that the person of Buhari who had hitherto attended many military institutions both at home and abroad before rising to the pinnacle of his career in the Nigeria Army could not have done so without passing his examinations at primary and secondary school levels. He wondered why the certificate has suddenly been made an issue even when Buhari had contested previous elections without hitches. He said: “Really that issue shouldn’t create the kind of problem that we are seeing today in the polity. When this matter came before us in the presidential screening committee, we had to rely on the constitution of our great country to qualify anybody to be president of Nigeria. Buhari: Our situation must change! “You have to be a Nigerian by birth. He has to be 40 years of age. He has to be a member of a political party and that political party must sponsor you and finally should obtain education at least up to secondary school level or equivalent. “And our presidential candidate had attended military schools, in Nigeria, in India, in the United Kingdom, UK, and in the United states of America, USA. He attended the US army war college. So, there isn’t any reason whatsoever to create this type of problems that we now have in the polity.” Asked if the committee demanded a copy of the school certificate during the screening, Onu said the affidavit gave them the needed proof. “No, we demanded for that, but there was an affidavit and you know once you swear to an affidavit, that definitely gives you whatever protection in any matter not just in this case. “But the thing is that we were not doing this for the PDP, we were doing it for Nigeria. This is a man who will be president of Nigeria and there is a supreme law, the constitution that guides us and the issue of qualifications is at least a school certificate. “So if there is evidence that somebody has attended military schools that are tertiary institutions up to the war college of the USA, I mean why should you really go into school certificate and so on? “But the Army has shown that he applied in Form 6. Many young people don’t know we used to have Form 6. I attended Form 6. I attended higher school that is what it is called then and you spend 2 years at the lower and the upper. You can’t go to Form 6 unless you completed your Form 5 and he got all the credits in the relevant subjects. So all those are in his file.” The APC chieftain while dismissing the issue however said that Nigeria had other issues such as insecurity and unemployment yearning for urgent attention now than Buhari’s certificate. Port Harcourt - - The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated moves to report the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to international bodies over the violence the latter allegedly unleashed in the region. APC will report its rival to the United Nations, Amnesty International and Economic Community of West African States, among others. Along this line, the Rivers State APC leadership has set up a ten-man committee to compile evidence of attacks against APC members, offices and properties. Peter Odike, the Rivers State APC Deputy Chairman, chairs the committee. Rivers State APC Chairman, Dr Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, has inaugurated the committee which has been given a week to submit its report and recommendations. Ikanya urged it to specifically get details of how the party’s two secretariats in Okirika and Adoni were bombed within a space of less than a week, how many APC members have been killed or maimed, and the circumstances under which these evils were perpetrated. “It has become the trend to attack our members and destroy APC’s campaign billboards, posters and banners, particularly those of our party’s standard bearer, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, whenever the party is to go out for campaign in any particular locality. In any local government area where Chief Nyesome Wike, the PDP Leader and gubernatorial candidate, is going to campaign, PDP thugs move round overnight and remove APC’s billboards, posters and banners to create the impression that Wike is fully on the ground in the area while he knows that he is not on ground in any part of Rivers State,” Ikanya said. “We can no longer fold our arms and watch while we are being viciously attacked and slaughtered by people, whose mission and vision in politics is to spread violence as their own way of grabbing power, having seen that they have been overwhelmingly rejected by the electorates. What makes the situation more pathetic is that security agencies in Rivers State, including the Police and the Department of State Security (DSS), have failed to make any arrest or call the PDP leadership to order simply because they are controlled by the PDP-led Federal Government, which is desperate to take over Rivers State at all cost.” He said Rivers State APC believed in a violence-free election and campaign based on issues. Also read: Another APC office bombed in Rivers State “We hereby appeal to the international community to come to our rescue as unchecked violence in Rivers State has the potential to instigate a chain of events that may truncate Nigeria’s nascent democracy.” He nonetheless commended elder statesman Bolaji Akinyemi, Kofi Annan former Secretary General of the United Nations and our own Chief Emeka Anyaoku the former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, for initiating the Peace Accord the parties recently endorsed to ensure violence-free elections. “We, however, wish to state that we should not stop at the Abuja Peace Accord. We, therefore, wish to draw the attention of Mr. Annan and Chief Anyaoku to the observation of the USA Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, that if care is not taken, Rivers State may be a battle ground during the forthcoming elections.” – CAJ News Source http:// www.news24.com.ng/Elections/News/Rivers-APC-drags-PDP-to-UN-20150121

Abuja - The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) reacted strongly to the All Progressives Congress’ and Buhari Campaign Organization’s criticism of the projects President Goodluck Jonathan executed in the education sector. The ruling party, in a statement on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said it was despicable that while well-meaning Nigerians and the international community were applauding Jonathan for his initiatives in revamping the sector, the APC was engaged in unwarranted mudslinging and personal attacks in an attempt to score cheap political points. PDP described such criticism as “weird and clear manifestation of ill will towards the people.” “We wish to remind the APC that no matter how hard they try, propaganda and lies will never overshadow the truth. The fact that the education sector has experienced stability and growth under Jonathan remains incontrovertible,” PDP stated. Also read: 5 questions Obasanjo asked Jonathan “In criticizing President Jonathan for establishing 14 new universities in his determination to ensure that all states of the federation have a federal university, the APC and Buhari Organization have allowed their myopic political interests to becloud their sense of reasoning.” PDP said at no time in the history of Nigeria had any administration achieved this quantum leap in education. “The new universities are being funded; they have since taken off academic activities with their courses meeting laid down standard by various academic regulatory institutions, while infrastructural projects are being provided. All over the world, the development of universities requires systematic progression and that is why even foremost universities like Oxford, Harvard, and Cambridge are still upgrading their facilities to meet up with the demands of contemporary realties.” The party noted that all Nigerians universities and other tertiary institutions had remained well funded under Jonathan and the quality of learning enhanced with upgrade of facilities through special intervention agencies. President Jonathan as a highly educated leader appreciates the importance of education as a vehicle for the realization of innate potentials of citizens and has continued to demonstrate this through his policies and programmes in the sector. - CAJ News Sources http:// www.news24.com.ng/Elections/News/Parties-clash-over-Jonathans-commitment-to-education-20150121

Below are the all-time best Emotions poems written by Poets on PoetrySoup. These top poems in list format are the best examples of emotions poems written by PoetrySoup members -"Letting Go!" Behind that garden rail; Where worms, squirm and roam, They dig into every worst part of my day. I feel them crawling, making my hide their home. They feast on my will, and my dead walking soul. Slowly I am fading away into a cloud of nothing. I find myself reminiscing the moment I meet you. With scars and guilt, I can’t let go! I’m cold and miserable inside. Different emotions, I no longer hide. I can’t seem to heal the deep cut from within. Echoes are twisting moods that have no meaning. I sit, with a jar full of tears, holding on tight. Afraid of letting go! The hollow walls slay in every way. The abyss of a waterfall, resides in my heart This throbbing starvation, repeats the taste it longs for, I have no control. I can’t feed without you by my side. I won't let go! -~Suicidal Night~ I sit alone in the dark. In the dark I sit alone. Nobody sees me. I see nobody. ~***~ Flowers, above. My eyes have darkened to a color never seen before. Forever closed! It Rains! It Rains! In this room, I've drowned too many times. I remember cascades of water under my eyes. My satin sheets wrinkle and cold. I die and died every night. No one sees the pain that kills me everyday. The wounds that reach 6 feet deep. Lucid demons Bleeding wrist Scary dreams Screaming --- Incomplete' Torn' Broken- Is how I live I'm alone- No one's around. My body's like a coffin Stiff in my own home. -Your Look of Precious Love Whilst I gaze so warmly in your eyes my dearest, I see deeply your pure angelic soul of love Reflecting like a radiant flight of a dove, Charting its flight on so high emotions purest! Our spirits ascend high in the sky so clearest To the very boundaries of Heaven my love, Where the power of brightness is God’s best above. Your look of precious love is always mine dearest! When we kiss so passionately our lips so melt, As we caress warmly emotions are so felt! Why we do this darling defines our love so dear, As counts the worth of angels’ blessings to be here! How we love each other so matters on God’s Earth, Your look of so precious love exceeds all gold’s worth! -AM I ? Am I Just Standing Here, or Am I Just Dead? Am I So Full Of Fear, I Lost Myself Instead? Am I A Nobody, that you can't defend me? OR Am I Just Invisible, and you really don't pretend. Am I Blind, Or I Just Don't Wish To See? The Love I Cannot Find Is Right In Front Of Me! Am I Hearing the Truth, Or Have I Just Been Deceived? Who Can I Trust? Who Can I Believe? Am I So Mad I Just Can't Understand, Or Am I So Sad I Need A Shoulder And A friend? Is It Just Me, Or Am I All Alone? -Frozen Howl Inside a knowledge turning cogs on this wheel born from the darkness a heart rules supreme fear in one wish looking towards tunnel light love All that will remain when all turns to dust threads of life dance kneeling weak alone humble and meek finding a balance Weeping rivers flow haunting sea waves turn the key truth is something beautiful touching deeply chords Chilling whispers rise warm oasis warmly embraces hold creeping inside beauty beams within shadows Dancing starlight kissing ocean reflections twinkle sparkle glisten teardrops coldly ripple out Floating on a cloud of breath precious beauty a mystery that means something special finest mother of pearl gem coloring rainbow jewel shines forever Frozen dew quicksilver lining echoes time answers always cold as ice crystals dazzling diamond stillness pure Frosted vision clear cutting ivory white one cool snowflake falls baptism in regal glowing crowning full face splendor enchants a ball walking along golden strands looking across the sea midnight strikes Sleepless nights held over and back destiny calls your name utopia faraway dreaming our love complete -My Heart Skips a Beat My Love My heart skips a beat my love each and every time I’m with you my dearest sweet and lovely Darling Since the passions and feelings you stir in me Touch the very depth of my inner being and soul And render themselves not to mere words only Suitable for depiction, exhibition, understanding Rather to the image and strength of your beauty And your rapturous desire and feeling as they Defy rational attempts at any simple description For you are the most radiant beyond all compare My heart skips a beat my love when we lie together Locked in a most enchanting embrace and kissing So deeply, palpably that we run out of breath and pant Anxiously at what comes next in our mutual longing And crescendo as our passions explode and express Themselves in a most hungry trail of urges and desires Which makes finding love for us all the more magical Pairing us together like a couple of star-struck kids Lost impossibly in moments of hope and imagination In a timeless world of love, desire, emotion, and oneness My heart skips a beat my love when we walk so closely Hand-in-hand talking, laughing, and living our dreams Confronting the world and taking on whatever comes Next as we steer our ship of destiny on a true course Where our like-thoughts and deep love for each other Mean something quite special that only Dreamers and Poets can imagine and set to melody and harmony in perfect Verses of sheer passion and delight painted onto a canvas Of unending happiness where Heaven and Earth are one My heart skips a beat my love when we’re forever one -bloody wrists I'm sitting on the floor I'm crying so much more trying to erase this pain trying to forget your face sitting here with the blade in my hand running so slow blood dripping down in a deep red color flowing freely the way i want to feel I'm sitting on the floor holding my hand out I'm holding a bottle a bottle filled with pills I'm crying so hard the pain is unbearable I'm feeling so weak I'm sitting here on this floor holding a blade crying like crazy trying to take this pain away I'm trying my best trying to fight my eyelids feel heavy my door is so far the whispered yells to far falling deep in to sleep deep..deep..deep..deep I'm laying on a bed I'm so confused where am i? my throat feels sore my body screams in pain I'm looking around I'm in a small white room i try to move, my hands are stuck i try to get up i feel restraints what happened to me? I'm laying on a bed trying to get up my head hurts a nurse is here a shot is administered i drift to sleep I'm in the psych ward why am i here? I'm lying on a bed laying so still my wrists hurts to no end I'm crying out loud screaming and cussing my body hurts i can't remember all i remember are my bloody wrists and a bottle of pills all i remember is the pain i was in..... -~Not Like Me~ When you were first put into my arms, I begged God, to make you nothing like me For my sins, ask for no transformation This is my song, my meditation Look at my face Where has it all gone, You no longer desire to be a part my song Look at my life, The toll, hasn't been paid I'm the one suffering everyday The vengeance of eternal flames, sit near the empty hearth Burning my needs to hold you once more, I need you more than you'll ever know Now, Look at me, I'm 53 and have no where to go Everyone I know, awaits in a place of gold Unlike you, you're too busy growing old ------ Not Like Me!!! Singing a song, that accentuate's the mind, I have no one to blame, I neglected all the signs Hoping the rain would slowly die off Today here I lay, wondering where I went wrong I implored God, to cause you nothing like me I have a heart that forgives, and tries to forget I kneel, and I give, and I treat others with respect My compassion, I measured in the poorest way I judged my life worse than the others did Now why did I ask ---- Not Like Me! For my sins, ask for no translation This is my song, my speculation The dreaded conclusion of this song, All I can say, "Be careful what you ask for." At the end, all I can say, I got what I asked for Someone, who's Not Like Me......................... --DREAMER'S SECRETS Virgin piece of paper You lay in front of me Bare, a sleeping beauty Mesmerized by what I see In that moment, captivated Drawn into your light I'll cover you with passion Long into the night You'll give this dreamer's secrets.. sight I gently touch your canvas Let lover's feelings flow You give every indication That tonight you'll let it go And I am filled with wonder Of all that we could be Amazed that you weren't taken Lost in this serendipity When this night is over Oh forever, it'll be you and me Penned flame, yeah all I got Two now one, love's knot Feel the stroke, inks heat Making music, love's beat And what we birth in secret Tomorrow will be so clear Spread across your sheet Love's expression without fear So remember every moment How I mused over you Together we created A masterpiece to view You've made this dreamer's secrets.. true Penned flame, yeah all I got Two now one, love's knot Feel the stroke, inks heat Making music, love's beat Penned flame, yeah all I got Two now one, love's knot Feel the stroke, inks heat Making music, love beat -Forgotten Soul I turn my head, and there she is once more In her disheveled, worn and tattered dress, One pew behind me near the exit door She sits head bowed…an image of distress. Two weeks now on a Sunday she is there… The same pew in the church, the same old clothes. She shows forlornness that makes me aware Her life is sadly filled with countless woes. This time she lifts her head and looks at me, As tears swell in her eyes and down her cheek. My heart is broken by the hurt I see Within her wanting eyes so dark and meek. I gaze into her face and see her fears Yet, slightest twinkle in her sullen eyes… With tiny smile, she wipes her falling tears Away, but still I hear the painful cries That echo from her heart so silently Of weakened body, anguished mind and soul… I wonder what in life could possibly Have caused her to now suffer such a toll. And I surmise that homeless she must be, But still some faith has brought her to this spot Where healing strength from God might possibly Renew her spirit when her life cannot. The mass soon ends, and I arise and turn, So now in front of her I sadly stand… She grasps my hand and says, “God Bless, you earn His blessings for a heart that understands." -I Know YOU from My Dream Dreaming quite deeply one dark night I saw your image and most beautiful face Passionately kissing my soul and spirit Charming my innermost desires and wishes Beguiling my inner child making him smile Soothing my feelings capturing my emotions Mesmerizing me with unconditional love This dream stayed with me on many lonely Nights for at least over a year or so while Leaving me to awaken feeling very happy But also so very sad only seeing YOU . . . As a dream and a part of my unconscious self Yet I longed and longed so deeply to see And to meet and to love the real YOU . . . And then one day about two years removed From my recurring dreams of YOU . . . I was walking along a beautiful ocean beach And watching the waves break and come ashore Feeling the warm summer wind touching me Quite soothingly and enticing me most deliciously When I walked literally and directly into YOU! Upon on this event, we both stopped in our tracks At first surprised, then stunned, and not talking Then our mutual surprise and astonishment Quickly gave way to warm smiles and laughter And then YOU said to me: “Where have you been?” Your question said it all to me—my heart melted And I said: “I’ve always been with you my darling!” Call it Fate . . . Call it Destiny . . . Call it Karma Both us had been dream beings to one another And now we’re standing in front of each other Very real, very alive, and very much in love Personifying at once giddy star-struck lovers Whose very spirits and souls are united as ONE . . . We embraced passionately and kissed longingly As we embraced—it was as though time stood still . . . Our mutual dream worlds connected in this real world And the effect of this moment finding each other finally Was both quite overwhelming and intoxicating for us As our mutual fondness, desire, love—all there As we kissed and caressed so deeply with desire Our joyous eye contact and tears confirmed all We sat for hours on the beach entranced in our Own world of rapture, devotion, presence and passion While talking, caressing, kissing, smiling and laughing And learning so much of each other so fast so deeply And Never Ever wanting to leave each other’s side now Our souls crossed a millennium or more to find one another And to unite our human spirits as one on this cosmic Earth plane I never expected to meet my love, my soul mate—YOU! In such an improbable fashion, yet crossing deep space and time We found our souls bonded in love and blended into one Our real lives together now filled with unbridled passion And our goals, desires, emotions all cascading together as one And now at night as we lie together sleeping and dreaming Our lives, our souls, and our love all real—since I found YOU! |
Has the penny finally dropped for Arsene Wenger? It seems so after he masterminded Arsenal's deserved 2-0 victory at reigning champions Manchester City, the perfect away performance. Arsenal were hammered 6-3 by City last season and it had been over four years since the Gunners won an away game against teams that went on to finish in the top four. That ;ast triumph was against Sunday's opponents, too, following the dismissal of Dedryck Boyata after five minutes. There was no chance of reliving last season's humiliating away defeats at City, Chelsea and Liverpool, as Wenger instead organised his team like those who have successfully played against Arsenal for so long. Wenger has never seen eye-to-eye with arch-rival Jose Mourinho on their approach to the game, but this performance was almost the carbon copy of Chelsea's 1-0 win at the Etihad last February. It is remarkable that it has taken Arsenal so long to adopt this style of play against the bigger Premier League sides, but it could prove a turning point for Wenger. Arsenal's away results against their main rivals last season cost them the chance of having a major say in the outcome of the title race, but it looks like Wenger has, belatedly, learnt the lessons from those defeats. Wenger went with a more compact formation and all his players were well-drilled and played their part in the kind of away performance not seen by Arsenal in many years. They got a break with the opening goal with a soft penalty for Vincent Kompany's clumsy tackle on Nacho Monreal, which man of the match Santi Cazorla converted, but they probably deserved the break for their hard work and endeavour. Once Olivier Giroud headed in the second goal midway through the second half the result never looked in doubt in what is surely one of Wenger's most satifying wins in recent years. They had their lowest possession percentage in 11 years with just 35% at the Etihad, but it was what they did without the ball that formed the cornerstone of an impressive victory. This was very un-Arsenal. Wenger has come in for criticism for his big-game tactics in the last four years and, although some may regard him a tactical genius after this victory, one big question remains: Why now? Why didn't he set up his team like this before? At the start of December Wenger was jeered by some of his own fans when boarding his train back to London after the 3-2 defeat to Stoke, but they will singing the Frenchman's name from the rooftops on their way back to the capital tonight. On the other side it was a case of 'unlucky 13' for City as they saw their 12-game unbeaten run come to an abrupt end at just at the wrong time to give Chelsea a five-point lead in the title race. City went into the game knowing there was no room for error after Chelsea's 5-0 thumping win at Swansea, but they struggled to work out how to get the better of Arsenal's unexpected set-up. It should be noted that City have failed to win any of the four Premier League games that Yaya Toure has missed this season (drawn three, lost one) and how the big Ivorian's absence was keenly felt as City struggled to have any impact in midfield against Arsenal's well-organised rearguard. Manuel Pellegrini made a mistake in playing with two defensive midfielders, Fernando and Fernandinho, as neither could offer what Toure does when he leads by example with match-winning cameos. Vincent Kompany looked rusty on his return from injury and was foolish in conceding the penalty which gave Arsenal something to hold on to. Worringly for City and Pellegrini they have conceded two goals in three consecutive home league games for first time since 2002 and their defensive fraility has cost them crucial points in the title race. After narrowing the gap between themselves and Chelsea on New Year's Day from eight points to none, they could now see that lead return when the top two go head-to-head at Stamford Bridge in a fortnight. If City lose that game to fall eight points behind Chelsea again that could be the end of their title chances with just 15 games left. Mourinho is unlikely to let an eight-point lead slip from his grasp for a second time. Given they had taken just six points from a possible 45 against City, Manchester United and Chelsea in recent years, few would have seen this Arsenal performance coming. The great irony is that Wenger's 'eureka' moment has gifted old rivals Chelsea and Mourinho an unexpected and welcome boost. But the Arsenal boss is unlikely to care too much after proving his doubters wrong after all this time. For now, the question marks are surrounding City, and they will have to come up with the right answers at Stamford Bridge on January 31.
