Although I'm no perpetuator of literal Christianity, there is plenty on the internet that describes what the Trinity is supposed to mean. Greek philosophy, ancient Egyptian religion and plenty of other belief systems have used a Trinity in their ethos.

Instead of asking for a scientific rationale, try actually looking for the meaning behind it. Where religion is concerned, spirituality must be taken into account. Otherwise, you're no different from those who swallow everything that the Bible says as total and utter fact.

Just because something was considered "right" a thousand years ago, does not mean that it is right today.
And as for legal consent elsewhere, as many have pointed out, it does not involve a 60 year old man marrying and having intercourse with a 13 year old. You will find that those very few places that have such a low age of marriage consent only legitimise it if both parties are around the same age and normally if the girl is pregnant. Not only that but there is a very strict legal process that has to be followed.

There is a logical answer to how 3 equals 1.

Islamist militants have clashed with Nigerian police in two northern states leaving many dead, a day after at least 39 people were killed in other attacks.

Eyewitnesses told the BBC a gun battle had raged for hours in Potiskum, Yobe State and a police station set on fire.

A self-styled "Taliban" group which has staged previous attacks also fought with the security forces in Maiduguri, Borno State, killing at least 30.

Sharia law is in place across northern Nigeria but there is no history of al-Qaeda linked violence in the country.

Nigeria's 140 million people are split almost equally between Muslims and Christians and the two groups generally live peacefully side by side, despite occasional outbreaks of communal violence.

Militants chanting "God is great" attacked the Potiskum police station at about 0215 local time (0115 GMT) - the same time as the Taliban launched their raid in Maiduguri.

Take the oil/gas pipeline that they're burbling about.
As I've already stated, it would be Asian gas pumped to Asian countries. Nothing to do with the US or NATO. They can't even claim that it's a US company controlling the oil as, although the pipeline was proposed 10 years ago by a US company, that company doesn't even exist any more. And let's not forget that was all it was - a proposal. Not so much as a ditch has been dug to accomodate any pipeline in those 10 years.

They also totally overlook the fact that any pipeline through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India (the intended receivers) from the Caspian would have to run through Iranian and Russian territory. Now I don't know about the two dipshits, but any logical person with an ounce of sense would realise that the NATO countries are trying to steer clear of letting Russia have any more power over energy (they already hit Europe when they turned off the gas to Ukraine) and there is no way that they would want to lay a pipe through Iranian territory (and that's even if the Iranians would let them).
Let's also not forget the fact that it would be impossible to guard a pipeline through Afghanistan and protect it from sabotage even if the Taleban were completely defeated.

If I wanted to Google, I would have but I have no need as I'm fully aware as to what the sanctions entail. But this is a forum and you made a statement so instead of bleating about Google, back your statement up here. I ask you again. What are those sanctions and what impact to they have on Zimbabwe? Also, you might want to address when were they implemented.

As for your statement that whites destroyed the farms? That is totally ridiculous. The farmers fought the take-overs in court and most of the time were still going through the legal system when they were kicked out. They either didn't have time to destroy their farms or simply would not have done so because they misguidedly thought that they were going to get them back. Some still do!!!
This suggestion that Zimbabwean agriculture is screwed because the whites sabotaged the farms is pure Mugabe propaganda. Zimbabwean agriculture went to shit because when the farms were taken back, they were given to Mugabe cronies who knew nothing about farming and had no interest in it - they just wanted the land.

Not only does money talk (the Yanks invest much more into their weapons programmes) but the US has the people. Take the JSF for example - the technology in that baby isn't just Yank, it's UK too. US has access to the best brains and to way more money - consequently their military hardware is the best in the world. The Chinese and the Russians only have themselves to look to.
