Me: 4 years in September
VO: Do you plan to stay in England after your studies?
Me: No, i will be returning back home.
VO: Do you have a job there?
Me: No.
VO: Then what will you do when you get home?
Me: My mum sells aluminium and building materials on a small scale, i want to join her in the business till i get something to do.
VO: Your mum?
Me: Yes.
VO: when do you finish your studies?
Me: My masters graduation is in September (residence permit go die Aug 23)
VO: How about your dad what does he do?
Me: Hes retired.
VO: Why are you going to the USA?
Me: My cousin is having a wedding and i want to use that opportunity in visiting the US.
VO: is your mum going?
Me: No
VO: is your dad going?
Men: No
VO: Any of your immediate family going?
Me: No, only relatives non of my immediate family is going?
VO: Where in the US are you going?
Me: Atlanta
VO: How do you intend to fiance your visit.
Me: I have some money saved, i still work and i just received some tax returns.
VO: your visa has been approved, it should be ready withing a week.

All this did not take 2 minutes, it was just God no document was asked for . I was ready to be honest with everything id rather be refused on that..than to lie and have the application refused with a potential lifetime ban that i wont be aware of.

You guys,lyk how many working days was your visa processed cos i will lyk 2 know if der's still hope me getting a visa dis year cos my deadline is fast approaching,just one week 2 go n i applied on d 29th wich makes it 10 working days 2day(not sure how dey calculate der wrking days ish).

applied on the 15th of august. monday - friday (working days) as long as theres no public holiday.

If you have anyone who applied recently in the past 3weeks and he or she has gotten his/her visa, go check again the visa was no issued in Abuja it was issued here in lagos. just learnt and confirmed this from the Agent i used. BHC in Lagos has started issuing visas alongside the one in Abj.

Congrats!, u complained earlier dat d vfs office dint have your doc, so when did u receive d sms alert for your passport pick up?, nd also did your online status change?

I got the text around 5:30pm yesterday,and my friends who applied same day got their text too.

Big Thanks to justWise and all Nairalanders, I got my visa this morning, and for thses still expecting theirs, u all will have a good testimony to give ijn.

Called the BHC visa customer care line this morning as was told that my application had been processed and dispatched back to the collection centre (vfs ikeja) on the 7th which was this past wednesday. Though I didn't get any text neither did my online status change, I acted on the information gotten from BHC and went to vfs, to my suprise after waiting a few minutes I was told that " IT IS NOT YET READY".I applied on the 15th of August and till dis day I haven't heard anything. I sure hope it won't take 2 weeks for vfs to call me for collection. School starts this coming monday. But am still hanging around cause a friend who applied with me the same day called BHC and was told the same thing I was told, the only additional info he got was to wait till around 12pm today for a text from vfs.

@All, I called d BHC office today asking dem about dis our Tier 4(general student) visa application processing stuff nd how long it takes them to process it.

The woman that answered me said they are trying their best to process and verify d documents.
She said the number of days a Tier 4 student application processing will take may be longer than d 15 working days expected.

Nd that what determines the number of working days it takes is the verification and the number of applications they have to process, nd this verification is based on individual documents, that is why some people get their visa earlier than others that submitted before them.

She also said as of today (8th of Sept. 2011), lemme quote her "as of today for d tier 4(general student visa), we are currently working on those that applied on the 16th of August".

So there is no cause for alarm. We all just have to continue waiting nd praying dat God will make dem to give us d visa & also issue us d visa in due time.
Patience is the key, hope this helps to reduce d tension.

I submitted my application today but i forgot to include an online printout page that would show the equivalent of my acct closing balance in pounds (OANDA currency converter). But I have well over the required amount as my acct balance. I hope this won't affect the application as I have provided all the important documents required.

Dear nairalanders I need your advice on this. My tution fee is 9500£ and I was asked to make a deposit of 4000£ . On my CAS letter it stipulates that I need to have the tution balance of 5500 and 5400 for maintainance which amounts to 10,900£.
Am very aware of the 28days quarantine policy, I had 3m (naira) deposited into my acct which should mature this coming friday. I added some other small cash like 50 and 20 since it was my savings acct and I av been withdrawing like 2k and 4k naira from it since it is my savings acct, but my balance has never gonr below the 3m that I first deposited in my acct. Can I submit my application come friday or is it that I should have never withdrawn any money from the acct and that the samll withdrawals would have reset the 28day quarantine thing.

I have to say that I have really enjoyed reading this post and its been helpful in a lot of ways.
When it comes to this tier 4 issue I believe there's no crime in asking questions just to be extra sure of what ones doing.

I will be applyiing for a visa on the 16th of this month ans sch resumes on the 26th of sept , do I still fit in the timeframe for visa application.
