Politics / Re: Obj Is 84yrs According To Orji Kalu, More Funny Campaign Promises by bawoodinma(m): 1:22am On Mar 20, 2007
Ever since I saw Orji Kalu's interview on BBC I have had serious disdain for the man. I was in Aba in 2002. There were no roads, there was no power, the taxi guy told me why the city is smelling was because the general hospital was running out of space in their morgues and was dumping corpses on the streets, transportation was hell and crime was skyrocketing.

Why in God's name should this guy be going around making all these cacophonous, though hilarious speeches regarding very important issues of state.

If you ever met a 419 guy you will understand my anger. Orji Kalu represents everything about 419. Loud, hilarious, thuggish, naive and funny enough, daring. It is the later part that has been working for him. He keeps taking the risk, with hope that little will come his way. He thrives on the Nigerian sycphancy and greed.

The interesting part is not really the election but what will happen to Kalu, Odili, Udenwa, Zamfara governor, Tinubu etc after the hand over. For so many of us, the fun will then begin
Politics / Re: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by bawoodinma(m): 12:52am On Mar 20, 2007
True democratic representation is difficult in a country where 70% of the people earn below USD1 a day. In Iraq, with the killings, fightings etc, the daily wage is about USD4. If our choices are going to be between the persons listed at the top of the page(of course, besides Pat Utomi) then we are entrenching kleptocracy. But we are so dysfunctional as a people that we will rather run overseas than fight for our land, we will rather get a bag of rice than ensure that the bounties of state is shared equitably. The syndrome of my house is bigger than your house is so prevalent in all facets of Nigerian society that hero worshipping, boot licking, as scrubbing which eventually leads to perennial poverty is our share as human beings.

If we ever vote in a Yar Adua, Atiku, Rochas, Kalu, Buhari etc again then we must admit that there is something inherently wrong with the Nigerian, not only as a human being but as a black man.

But I fear we will. As always, we are quick to disappoint the world.
Travel / Re: Why Do Nigerians Love America So Much? by bawoodinma(m): 8:37pm On Mar 17, 2007
Why Nigerians 'like' America? U need to be nigerian to understand the culture. From coast to coast nigerians are boot lickers. Our culture is being gradually eroded because of self hate. The Igbo language is becoming gradually extinct and everything western is becoming very attractive. And BTW, all these are done with the intention of pleasing the 'home' crowd. Complex people. Noisy, braggarts, sometimes I just want give up on our people.

Politics / Re: Kalu Says:we Voted Mko,obj: Its Time For Yorubas To Support The Ibo Candidacy by bawoodinma(m): 12:01am On Mar 17, 2007
I honestly don't see anything wrong in what kalu says or insinuates. He is the true representation of not only the sayng that when good men run away bad men take over. Nigeria is in the doldrums and kalu is the true representation of the state of Nigeria - a point of 'almost' no return. The fellow is not only an illiterate, he is also an idiot.
