I have worked as a human resource officer for three years now, but it seems to me that applicants( especially the ones that have passed through the universities and polytechnics have really lost focus. i have witnessed a scenario where a graduate of ( name of university withheld) was unable to write a simple application letter,just because i compelled him to write it in my presence. This is disheartening in the sense that some people that are not meant to go to school will bribe their way through and still sort themselves out of the school without being able to make a correct sentence on their own.
The last time i posted a job here, some of the CVS's i got were just FUNNY AND MISERABLE and some are not even related to the field that i was searching for. Fellow Nigerians which way are we going? Some applicants just need to go back and review their Cv's if not no employer will ever invite you for interview, i just keep wondering, the people that have this Cv's ;are they not worried that no one have ever called them for interview. Its is high time we all wake up and tell ourselves the truth. Most Nigerian graduates are quarter, half or even two third baked!!!peace.

Well spoken Sir, I think you made a good comment about CVs. Meanwhile I would like to send my CV( Chemical Engr) if ur firm is recruiting, I am confident my CV will not disappoint. I hope its an engineering firm

Nope.... i guess it means candidates with little experience in engineering. Mine reads that and am without an MSc

She was documented in abuja...traning will start 13th march.... Yes you cant upgrade in paramilitary if given a junior cadre, unless u start fresh Bsc..was asking my contact about those with bsc that got junior cadre, he said they should not ve documented bt come back to abuja to rectify it....anyways that the hqts is hot now cos some candidates of Ogas at the Top were affected and some omitted....na God hand we dey.........

Wow dis aint good news for those with BSc given junior cadre.....

my cousin ( ASCII level8) went for the documentation and told me they have finish documentation both for senior and junior cadre. they are to return for training on the 13th in Katsina camp. some pple with BSc were given numbers for SSCE and ND meaning their employment is for junior cadre, which means you dont have an option, its either you accept it or forfit the employment. Some pple have to accept it so that they can present their BSc for upgrade when they start working. Some were nab with fake certificates. He told me a total of 800 senior officers while that of juniors is more tham 1k. Thought i shld share what i knw abt it

@bb4522 I think I disagree with you on this one. you see, the white guy that interviewed me told me that I was being interviewed for management trainee position and that while the construction of the refinery is on going, the new recruits will be engaged in intensive training including inside and outside the country, thereby preparing them for the managerial positions as soon as the refinery is completed.

So the Dangote is not waiting g for the refinery to be on ground before they recruit, rather they are recruiting early in order to train and await the completion.

just keep hope alive.. I believe when they need you they will contact you as long as your status reads awaiting interview

I was making reference to those that collected their offers for fertilizer plant like bukkyche. I wasnt implying the refinery to be on ground b4 offer letters are released. I asked my friend about why those to be recruited for refinery havent been given their letters and his reponse was the recruitment is in batches and that letters "may" begin to roll out by early 2016. I know abt the training coz my friend has been working for one and a half yr and havent gone for the training.

my question is so apart from bukkyche.. so no other person has gotten offer since the conclusion of the tests and psychometric and other stages. because from the look of things no one has come to testify that he/she has gotten offer. and it seems those with CV based clear d awaiting interview are the ones having their field day with Dangote in terms of invites for interview and offer as in the case of buckyche..

Mine is still CV cleared too but i think those who were invited were for fertilizer plant, mine is reading Refinery (Business on their website) but i havent been called yet. two of my friends work with Dangote Refinery and one of them told me that all fertilizer plant equipments are on ground and are ready for assembling may be thats why they are rolling out offer letters for that section in reference to buckyche, but he still stressed that the refinery is still on land preparation i remembered vividly when i was with Him in lagos just two months ago he showed me pictures of dredging and land clearing even saw huge crocodiles found on the land but by next year constuction will begin, finally he told me the recriutment will continue next year, and it will be in batches in 2016. so those with offers are for fertilizer. My experience is from refining "may be" thats why i wasnt called yet.

@bb45 My application of November 9-15th for the new 50 slots reads "application under review" but I can see some ppl saying their own is reading cleared and scheduling for interview. Pls I will like to confirm if immediately after applying, it reads application under review and was later changed to cleared and scheduling for interview or it reads the later from the time of application.
