Guyincna: look at what I highlighted. Using those cables will it give u the best out put and no lose of power, like how reliable is it? Why is suggested the size is because his voltage is higher and current is below 25A. Whatever the loss in voltage is will not affect the cc performance like that. If you can get original Coleman, please go for it and size it base on your voltage and current |

fuckboys: 10mm tokunbo wire Confirm if your battery can accept charges from the grid? Can you battery and inverter without cc been connected power your load? This will help isolate where the problem lies |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bbally: 1:55pm On May 11, 2025 |
fuckboys: it gets hot before the cc cuts off? It's probably a fake copper 6mm cable which couldn't handle your current inflow from the panel. Your 6mm should not be hot Get a secondary way to test the cc in another step up around your location before considering this my opinion stated below Get a 4mm Coleman solid red/black cable and run it straight from panel to CC. State your location, somebody might be around to help you out |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bbally: 9:13am On May 11, 2025 |
omotoda: Really? For a 12v system?.Fine then.I use same CC and keep strictly to the recommended VOC and PV watts limit. Voc is the most important, the cc will not take more than it's maximum wattage even if 5000watts panels are connected. Just do your best to stay max at 70v to give headroom for weather changes. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bbally: 8:34am On May 11, 2025 |
omotoda: If you have reconnected the charge controller severally and same thing still happens, then it is most likely from your BMS.This is one of the advantages of smart bms to enable you see what is going on inside the pack.Try discharging the battery and let's see if it will wake up.Most likely one of the cells has gone above the over voltage cell protection value and BMS charge function is set to off.
I also think you are doing an overkill with your total PV input on the controller.
Get another controller and do 2s of the panels. AV had 2000watts connected to this type of powmr cc before I switched to hybrid and what I have on it now is 1000watts and 2000watts on the hybrid |

fuckboys: no my battery didn't even charge at all today with all the sunlight.
I had about 700plus watts around 11am then it kept increasing and crossed 800w before the c. Disconnects and won't charge again.
Please who has experienced this.? I have your cc type which av been using for years now. Its clear that with your step up, you can't get to 80v max. Looking at the picture of your cc, it was showing that you have lost pv input signal. Three things can only cause this, which are: There is arcing at a joint along your cable; If you have pv input breaker, the breaker has trip or bad; The operation hours setting on the cc is not selected to appropriate setting, it's showing showing that your cc should be sleeping as at the time you snap the picture Lastly, the cc input circuitry has developed an issue. on the other, if your battery breaker tripped when the cc is pumping high current too can cause circuitry to developed issue but can still be lucky with it because I had experience that took and after switching everything off for 5mins, it bounced back. Possible solutions: 1 trace your cable if it have joints 2 check all breakers, if possible read their continuity 3 disconnect pv inputs, battery cables, inverter 4 after say 5mins test your battery and inverter to ascertain their function 5 read your pv inputs with a meter, if it checks out 6 lastly reconnect your cc 7 check your manual and set Hope this will help, if not you might have to get a new cc.

KudozInteriors: Good evening everyone. Thank you all for the great information being shared here. It means a lot.
Please I need help. I believe most of us here either use inverter freezers or have an idea of it. I want to get either thermocool 219L or Scanfrost 230L inverter freezers but I don’t know which will serve me better. Any user experience from here will be highly appreciated.
Thank you so much🙏🏼 I use thermocool 219 white and it's been performing. |

Trippledots: That sachet inverter delivers. I use the 5000w to run my house. It can power a 1.5hp inverter AC, 300L inverter chest freezer, TV and other items at the same time.
I want to upgrade my system panels, batteries etc I de reason wetin I go use am do as I intend to switch to hybrid inverter. E no wan die. Can this inverter power only a 2Hp air conditioner considering the starting power draw? OR Can you suggest any other standard inverter either standalone or hybrid that can be used solely for a 2Hp regular air conditioner? |

amicdan: @bbally Help us Boss. Thanks in advance. You can get extra 2 panels Let the installer do 2s2p for you i.e 2 panels will be connected together to produce 1set and do likewise for the other 2 extra panels, then these 2 sets of panels will now be connected in parallel to you controller |

GloryJoyeux: As a bonus, the deye is silent. And my lights don’t flicker when i am running inductive load like washing machine (note that its not normal house indoor light, they are smart lights and are connected to capacitors, the capacitors cause the bulbs to flicker when inductive load is running on the sms inverter, but not a single flicker with the deye inverter) This happens too with my SMS Hybrid inverter when the washing machine is on. I initially thought the load was much on the battery but it doesn't happen with toasting machine or freezer - fridge. Now I know the reason. |

amicdan: Hi Bro,
Please what is your PV configuration like when you were using Powmr? Quantity of panel? Wattage and Voc? Surprised to see more than 50 amps on a 12V setup. Would love to generate same. 300w by 4pcs 250w by 4pcs Voc 38 or something can remember |

fuckboys: Some of you don't ven know how mppt works
First image at just 8:30am cc is getting 55.6V from the panels and delivering 164w of power.
Second image , the cc is actually charging the battery at 13.3v and 13.1amps.
So you can see the high pvc voltage doesn't matter so long you stay within the parameters of the cc Please clear me as I want to learn more. 12v set up on powmr allowed max of 80v and 48v set up allowed max of 160v. Are you saying you can subject your cc to 160v on a 12v battery configuration because it's within parameters? Am just confused.... Attached was my cc before I changed to SMS Hybrid

fuckboys: it’s an mppt cc, it’s fine so long you don’t max out the cc and fry it. And it’s a 12v system Bro, don't play dangerous game with your cc. Things are costly this days. Most 12v configuration should not even pass 70v to give room for open circuit voltage rise. Study your gadgets specs very before any connections. My 2kobo sense |

luvlyoracle: Attached are some pictures For you to have that voltage shows the panels were connected in series but to be drawing low wattage could means: The time of the day you took the reading (maybe cc just woke up or it's going to sleep); There may be shade cast on your panels; Maybe your batteries are full and you don't have much load on; Check all connections are well tight. Just my submission but physical check is the ultimate. |
