At my first, I used to have it and i heard some abdominal pain during pregnancy is normal because your organs are constantly shifting, your uterus is expanding, and your ligaments are stretching.
Try and rest very well, take plenty water and once you register for ANC, don't hesitate to carry them along as in how you feel. God is our strenght.

Eat small quantity of food at a time, avoid foods that gives you heartburn, also take lots of water. it's well with you.

Hello sis. The weight u were told at the scan center still includes your placenta so in actual fact your baby himself is not up to 3kg. Keep the faith!

Try either warm water massage or cold water to know which one suits you.

Perfectly normal. Baby is just big so it has less space to move inside your stomach, that's why you can feel and see it. Btw, 36 weeks over here is considered a normal birth so you're pretty much almost ready to pop.

Bbglory and helovesme, I had the same. I was put on bedrest (by family who are doctors), but my own OB prescribed Lexotan (please don't take it). It's pre-term contractions and some doctors think it's normal for ftm. I didn't need painkillers, I just propped my back and legs up with pillows for 3 days. All was well.

Thanks sis 4 the response, will try take some rest as I've been a little bit stressed out

i had similiar issue. i thought it was my uterus streching but i wasnt comfortable at all with the pain after two consecutive days so i called the hospital's 24hrs careline and i was asked to come in for checks.

i went in and i was checked thoroughly - from BP, to temperature, to urine, to swab tests (for UTI infection) and another newly invented (as i was told by the doctor) swab test that can be used to check for signs of preterm labour to blood tests. in fact, all sort of tests that i dont even know about. the results all came back fine with no issues/concerns detected.

my baby was checked too. i also had an internal examination done and doctor said all was fine.

apparently, the doctors see such pain as a sign of 'pre-term labour' and doctors here take any complain of pain very seriously.

i was later given paracetamol with some other painkiller i dont know to use to relieve the pain. the doctor wanted me to stay overnight to monitor me but i declined. anyway, i was told i could go home and i shouldnt hesitate to call/come back if the pain persisted.

i went home, stayed on 'self-imposed' bedrest for 2days, used two tabs of pcm a day for the entire 2days and the pain has stopped and i'm fine.

so just go and see your doctor to have yourself checked. at least that will give you peace of mind.
