Just to add to what other posters have stated..

Please also develop your Canadian bank account too.. if possible make it have like 6000 CAD before he submits..
Money in Canada does wonders.. (Talk to friends,family and classmates about this)

Bcuz that 300k in his account is just like approximately 1500 CAD which cant rent a good house with security deposit in Canada.. I am sure they considered other factors like.. his flight Money, living expenses for like 3 months, mobility and you are still a student with probably 20 hours of work a week etc

When I was applying my account had like 3.2million bcuz i have 2 kids.. printed my statement on Friday by Monday morning my account was back to 200k.. family and friends can help develop an account.. in and out of money helps.

I have not seen all the documents you submitted but did you include a SOP explaining you will be back to 9ja after ur spouse finishes her studies?

Sometimes these Oyinbo people just need assurances that we will leave after a particular time.. they themselves know that we all dont leave after the said time. I think in your next application.. give dem a kind of assurance you will be back to 9ja or show a landed property or something.

I remeber during my application.. In my SOP I stated that "All my kids Grand parents are alive and i wont want to keep their grand kids away from them for a long time"

Btwn.. its SOWP treated in Ghana now? Mine was treated in Lagos last year.

Application and biometrics: 1st february 2017
Medical Request: 26th May 2017
Medical done: 8th June 2017
Medical passed: 13th June 2017
Application approved: 23rd June 2017
I was however notified on the 28th of June for just my daughter's
Vfs wrote me early hours of 30th june to come pick up our passports, I went there in the afternoon and picked up all three approved!!! . In total 21 weeks and 2 days processing time.

Thank you all, special thanks to BE811APP, I met you on nairaland last year March, I have never met you in person but you have been a good brother praying with me and my family and assisted me all the way right from my husband's study permit process. I have been getting debit alerts since 4th of May from Diamond Bank as per stamp duties..
On the 4th was for Dec 2016
5th may was for Jan 2017
7th of may for Feb 2017

and the funniest thing is that they remove N4 before they even debit the stamp duty.

My question is.. whats the stamp duty for? I thot it was only for paper transactions

March and April debits never come yet..
If i transfer all the money to another bank.. I will still be charged for interbank transfer..
