Seriously, Nairaland is it for me.
These days, I only tend to visit facebook for the fun of attending to piled-up notifications.
Nairaland, though stupid sometimes, has totally gotten my attention.
The tension and anxiety of being able to post on the front page, coupled with it being a faceless forum adds to the fun of it all.
.
If we are to compare NL to twitter however, I think Twitter would have been much more fun if only Nigerians actually participate more actively on there!.
.
To those seeking for the availability of a delete button, however, in as much as I'd always anticipated for such features, I think someone made it pretty clear enough - it won't work, in the advent of the post already being quoted, thereby rendering it redundant once deleted...or yet still, quoting a non-active post would be totally out of it!.

well said

NL bcuz They is notin fun in facebook nigeria. I just go to see friends.

Pls i will like to give seun an idea; he should make NL chat enabled. Where if two users follow themselves, a chat page shud be created between them, where dey can chat live nd secretly on NL.

NB: pardon my english, i hope u understand.
that will be a nice idea. it will make nairaland more sociable.

NL is more addictive. Patriotism demands that.
I think so. But some people find facebook to be more interesting.

A friend once told me that she's getting so much addicted to a particular site. First thing that came to my mind was facebook. But I was wrong, she was reffering to nairaland.
So over to you guys, which one are you more addicted to out of the two?

Hey! Am sorry about your loss, but you have got to look up and keep moving.....it ain't easy, never was.....so brace yourself up, pick up from where you left and move up. It will be a story you will tell your kids.
Now, wipe off those tears and cheer up. There you go, that the spirit.

thanks

My brother, don't be confused. Have seen worse cases than yours, mine was one of then anyway. See it as one of the challenges in life. Never relent, pick up your life once more again with serious determination and you will bounce back like never before. If you did it before, you can do more better today.

Hmmmm, thanks bro. that awkward moment when you don't know where to run to. Even the loved ones desert you when you need them most.

Jobs/Vacancies / I'm Now A Confused Man by beacon02(m): 6:41am On Feb 15, 2016
Having forseen what lies ahead in nigeria labour market, I've been working hard since my university days to make money so that I can have it easy after school. I did more than three businesses when I was in school. Even, I once risked using my 200l school fees to try a business. I'm a bold man that is not scared of taking risks.
I graduated almost 4 years ago and since then I've been trying to secure a good job to no avail. I invested all the money I had into a phone business. I deal majorly with UK used phones and things seems to be going well since then not until few days ago.
I received a call very early in the morning that my shop was buggled. On getting there I discorvered everything in my shop was carted away. I lost hope. Where do I go? What do I do? Where do I start from? A country without security we always pay for has wrecked me. No one to help as the only person I usually run to (my mom) died while I was in 400l.
Now, I'm in a very confused state. I don't know what to do. I need HELP!

Yes, because every other persons that see a vacancy drop the vacancy here so why is yours different.
Engrcharlesid is the official Ikorodu correspondence on this thread unless stated otherwise.
well, i believe you should try and read properly what I wrote. I didn't say I'm an employer neither did I say there is vacancy somewhere. There are lots of teaching vacancies in my area due to the fact that there are a lot of private schools here both big and small. I only wish to give people who don't have anywhere to apply directives.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Letter To My Friend: Why Illiterates Employ Graduates? A Friend Asked. by beacon02(m): 11:58am On Dec 02, 2015
The problem with our graduates is pride and shame. The day we remove those two things from our life is the day we are saved. I've been into phone business immediately i graduated. And after NYSC, I've already opened a standard shop doing what I derive interest in. You may say it is easy for me to do because my parents are rich or I have people who can help around me, you are wrong. I started small while in school. I keep off from extravagant life and don't run after girls who have nothing to offer than sex. I didn't have any helper, the only helper i had was my mum. She died while I was in 300L. my dad is a stroke patient, yet I know I must survive.
Eventhough I'm not at where I wish to be today, thank God I'm far ahead of most that had better results than me.
