My own set the feedback message concerning emergency appointment has been deleted. Please what is happening?
Do you have any open case or they're closed
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Beansguy: 3:16pm On Jul 19, 2021
I just checked my visa application portal now and I saw that the feedback message I sent to them concerning my emergency appointment has been deleted, my emergency request is not showing in the feedback section as well. If the message has been attended to it will be in the closed section of the feedback menu, but if it has not been attended to it will be at the open section, but it's not there. Has anyone experience this before or it's a normal thing.

most times only through the website
How can I go about that, cause I just checked US Consulate Lagos's website and there is no place for web call

then you wait the 24 hours without checking or call then again that’s the only option
Is there a way I can call them directly, cause they aren't giving me the response I want.

off it and try it
But if you are continuously checking for dates it’s normal for them to tell you that message …
Just like when someone is logging into CGI too much he or she gets locked out for 72hours
just tried it, still the same issue

that message only pops up when you are continuously spamming that side to check dates
could it be because we are using VPN, cause my Psiphon is always on?

Tbh your answer was vague, you should have said something like, I'll be returning for my professional exam, after that I'll be picking up a nursing job at Bleep hospital.

Applying to a community college no be beans, it comes with more scrutiny, you should give reasonable answers, and don't talk too much next time.

With an associate degree in nursing, the highest you can do is work as a registered Nurse, so why did you say you'll establish a home for the elderly.

You shot yourself in the leg, to be frank with you, na una they reduce the chances of people going to a community college. about 50% of students going to the US from Nigeria to play sport start from Highschool or community college. If you know you can't defend yourself or give reasonable answers don't apply to a community college.

Hello guys
Status: denied
Location: Lagos
Date:10/06/2021
The VO was a man in is late 40’s .

Vo: Good morning, how are you?
Me: Good morning sir, how are you today?( I did not even know if he replied)
Vo: what are you going to do in the US and where are you going?
Me: I’ll be going to Kansas, to pursue my associate degree in pre nursing science at Butler community college.
Vo: ok, what are your plans after your degree
Me: after my degree I’ll be back to Nigeria to work as a nurse in a top rated hospital or even establish a mini home plus where I can take care of elderly people.( at this point he was already bringing out the blue paper, but I didn’t stop talking).
Vo: sorry I’ll be denying you bla bla bla...and he hand be the blue paper and my documents.

Well I Finished my high school in 2013 and since then I started training as an auxiliary nurse in 2017.
I’m so confused on my denial.
Pls can you guys advise me on what to do?
Do you think it’s the time range I finished my high school from 2013 till date?
Or because I don’t have enough strong ties?

Malone122:
you can never get a visa from Nigeria going to a community college pick a university
That's incorrect, I asked a consular this question during an Education USA student visa orientation, and she said it's not true. The reason why people don't get it is that they can't defend their choice, why did you choose a community college? There are schools here better than community colleges, so why did you decide to attend a community college.
A lot of people are lazy to do their homework that's why they get denied, and people fear what they don't know. Check Education USA Lagos Facebook page, they've been talking about community colleges lately, if it was a red flag they wouldn't.

PS: during your interview don't mention you'll be transferring.

CONGRATULATIONS
Tayoade19:

As promised, here is the full transcript of my encounter at the Lagos Embassy yesterday. I am sharing this to encourage someone and for the person to believe that with God, nothing is impossible and indeed there is a God who rules in the affairs of men. The key prayer focus should be favour. Fast forward to the experience/encounter. Two years ago, I was refused B1/B2 visa at the Lagos Embassy and when I was in the queue, I saw the same VO who refused me then and within me I was praying silently that God let it not be this VO who would interview me today. Lo and behold, I was told to go to his window and it was as if I had my heart in my mouth, I could feel my heartbeat because of the fear. He gave the lady in my front blue paper, I didn't listen to their conversation because I wasn't paying attention, I was praying within me. After giving the lady the blue slip, he was still speaking with the lady, then I was told to move to the next window which was vacant (instant answered prayer). However, when the VO who eventually interviewed me, asked the first question, I wasn't really stable because I'd thought I would be interviewed by the other guy. Let me not bore you with too much story. The interview did not last more than 3 minutes, here is the transcript;

GA: $18K
Deficit: $2.5k
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning Sir.
VO: Pass me your passport and i20 (VO started typing)
Me: I did
VO: You are going for a master's program at the University of Nebraska right?
Me: Yes Sir
VO: Why this program?
Me: (trying to become stable). My reason for this program is fueled by my interest in understanding the interactions between diet and human genes, the molecular basis of obesity. (VO was just gazing at the computer screen, I didn't know whether he was hearing me or not)
VO: What will this degree do for you?
Me: This program will expose me to both theoretical and practical aspects of nutrigenomics such that when I return to Nigeria, I will be able to contribute to the research projects of the metabolic research group of the bleep university where I work and for years I have been assisting them in this lab for their research projects. (VO was just nodding his head)
VO: Are you married?
Me: Yes
VO: Is your wife going with you?
Me: No
VO: Why?
Me: She is currently in school for her graduate program at a Nigerian university.
VO: I think I will be giving you this chance, hang on a second (VO started typing)
Me: Ok Sir.
VO: Who is sponsoring you?
Me: I have a graduate assistantship that covers the tuition and monthly stipend while my uncle will take care of the deficit. (I was surprised VO did not ask for SOA)
VO: Your visa is approved.
Me: Thank you, Sir.
VO: Take your i20 along with you, you will need it at the port of entry and take your passport at this circled location, other information is on that slip.
Me: Thank you, Sir. Enjoy your day!
Na so I just packed my things commot from the VO's window and was just praising God.
PS: For you to experience a seamless visa interview, the God factor is very crucial, pray and fast. For it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of the Lord that showeth mercy. For those who will still be going for visa interview, I pray that God's mercies will speak for you in Jesus name. Amen!

Consular : Do you have the bank statements to show for the available funds?
Me : yes, I do... Then I gave her the statements.
Consular: The sum of $ dollars was deposited last week
Me: I said yes, in addition to the money that was previously in the account...
Consular: so that makes it $?
Me : Yes, in addition to my mother's salary bank account in Naira bank statement and her pounds bank statement.
Consular : What does your Mother do?
Me: My mother is a medical radiographer at **** where she has been working for 17 years now, and currently holds the position of the manager of the radiography department.
