Many thanks for the concern you raised, I am of the opinion however that you need to understand the difference between ''Certificate'' and ''certification''.

A certification is also termed a qualification. Certification means a designation earned by a person to assure qualification to perform a job or task. www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional_certification.

NEBOSH HSE for process industries certification is like also saying NEBOSH HSE for process industries qualification. Please also note , i didnt say NEBOSH HSE for process industries certificate. A certificate is only a level which is inside a certification in NEBOSH. I hope you'll get this. Having said this, I'll kindly request you also know that:

NEBOSH has 3 categories of qualifications. The Award level which is equivalent to UK level 2., Certificate level which is equivalent to UK level 3 and Diploma level which is equivalent of Uk level 6(Bsc).

HSEPI is most suitable for people new in safety as it gives them the fundamental knowledge in safety and offers them international recognition rather than paying hugely for a local certificate which may not have much relevance outside the shores of Nigeria.

Another point is that proceeding to do the certificate level may be expensive and comes with 50-50 chances of pass-failure. The logic is why should I spend over 300k running an IGC or IOGC which comes with uncertainty when I could start out with NEBOSH HSW or NEBOSH HSEPI and get a success & experience and thereafter proceed to doing NEBOSH IGC/NEBOSH IOGC/NEBOSH CEM/NEBOSH IFC/NEBOSH ICC with much experienced gained from the previous.

Again, another fact you should note is that having a higher level in NEBOSH is not guaranteed of a quick job, why not start out with your Award level---> Certificate level----> proceed to Diploma level.

^^^ The NEBOSH certification course is better through training than self studying.

NEBOSH is a practical professional training and not some kind of exam you read and write, you need to be trained under qualified, certified and professional instructors and then they'll register you with the BRITISH COUNCIL to write your exam.

Besides which NEBOSH material do you need preceisely? as there are so many NEBOSH international certification courses.
