Politics / Re: Third Term Agenda <Vote, Comments> by beautiple(f): 4:19pm On Feb 10, 2006
Before he can even consider a third term, Obj should frist of all show respect to the rule of law. The constitution of Nigeria made no provision for a third term. So if he wants a third term, he should quicken the purportedly proposed amendment to the constitution, like he does every other thing, in other to favour himself.

He was given a chance both as a military and a civilian president. He played his part, let him give someone else a chance to try too. The next person might even do better things with regard to the so called reforms that people are scared of deteriorating if Obj does not continue.

I believe that these problems of corruption and lawlessness would end as soon as everyone, both the leaders and the lead become subject to the law. No one person will make Nigeria better except the rule of law prevails.

If Obj does just whatever he likes, he is not suitable to occupy the seat of a president, he should step down at the end of this his second term so that someone else will try. A good leader should always lead by example.

I dont support third term neither am i in support of messing with exixting laws in order to satisfy one's whims and caprices.

Romance / Re: Signs of true Love (does he really love me?) by beautiple(f): 2:19pm On Feb 10, 2006
It's hard to tell these days whether a guy really loves you.
Guys sure have a weird way of showing their love.
I'm begining to disbelieve that true love truly does exist.
Anyway, girl, I'm sorry I cant be of any help here...but if he starts making you miserable, o'l girl, take a hike and look for the love somewhere else. Better still, dont look for it, it will find you.
Politics / Re: Tafa Balogun Serves Jail Term, Regains Freedom by beautiple(f): 1:55pm On Feb 10, 2006
ono:

Abeg, they should release Alams and others too, abi wetin una think? Alams is not even serving a jail term, they are just keeping the innocent man. And here is a self confessed rigger of elections, someone who stole Police votes and a willing tool in the hand of evil men, about to start walking tall and free.

Anyway sha, with the humiliation and publicity his arrest and incarceration has generated, I think he's had enough of wahala to haunt him for the remainder of his entire life. He should not come into politics again o, like Umaru Dikko that stole way back in the early 80's and was nominated by the Federal Govt. to attend the National Political Reform Conference, where he was accusing people in the Delta of stealing.

A word is enough for the jail bird just released from the gulag!

Anything is possible in the Nigerian Politics.
Dont forget that one can come out from jail and successfully head straight to Aso Rock.

Blaise:

i wonder why Senegal allowed Nigeria beat them. Nigeria has taken bronze three consecutive times as if the bronze medal was made for them alone
I guess they've won the hat trick(or what is it called when u score 3 goals in a match) in bronze medals. Maybe they should be given the bronze medal for keeps. grin

People, please let's be patriotic and show good sportmanship.
Support should be given to our team both when they're losing and winning.
Super Eagles is our team for life whether we like it or not, so our support for them should be for better for worse.
Everybody cant be a winner. There has to be winners and losers.

From the records, Nigeria has been consistently good in their Nations cup bid even though they've only won it a couple of time. Their not winning it now shows that African Footbal has really improved which i'm really happy about.

With time, African teams may even start dreaming of getting to the semi finals, finals or even winning the world cup.
Wont you guys like that when it eventually happens.

It's good to be opitmistic, you know.

I dont blame African China for his song 'Mr President'.
Poor man who steals maggi, they'll show him on crime fighters but what happens to rich men and politicians who launder huge sums of money?

After all the noise made about Tafa's case, what did he get?
I remember warching him on Tv saying that he'll bounce back. I guess he's about to bounce back.
What has EFCC achieved in his case?
Absolutely nothing!
