Hi guys, my visa was approved today. I am not a very active user of this thread, but I am obliged by common sense to share my transcript. I must confess I didn't expect the questions asked. The visa officer was relaxed and very conversational with hand signals to cut me short when I talk too much; perhaps.

Me &Vo: Salutation
V.O: Now tell me, what's it about this school?: I'm. Impressed with the course structure, it lays emphasis on empirical learning. I was particularly looking for schools that offers high level of experiential learning. V.O cuts in with his hand
When did you leave secondary school?: 2003
When did you leave University: 2009
How old are you?: Told him
Where do you work?: Told him
How many years have you been working?: told him
Who is your sponsor: my brother
How much is your Salary? Told him
Did you undergo any test before admission into this school?: Well, yes. I had an admission selection interview by the head of department. Vo cuts in, I'm fine with that
Vo: scrolls the pages of my pp and asks why I frequent Dubai: said I'm a member of an international organisation that holds bi-annual meetings in Dubai , the organisation of which I'm a senior fellow
VO: I'll go ahead and issue your visa Bla Bla Bla.

Once more, I thank djmakson and Texrem for the sober opinion intervention when I made error on my gtbank payment
On the other hand, I'd like to meet and know any member of this thread residing in California and most importantly San Francisco.... My school is SFSU, and I need some Nigerian connection to get around. Texrem, Djmakson, Oludare, Lagosismyhome and other esteemed members can please share from your arsenal of connections, as the case may be..... God bless us all

You presented your old passport when you should have shown the valid one. However, what matters is the pin on that GTBank receipt. That's what enables you to book an appointment. You are fine.

Djmakson and Texrem thank you so much for your response. you got me there :-).. I beat myself so hard for the silly mistake... ..., If I get you clearly please.... I may proceed with my appointment booking without much worry about the passport number issue when I go for interview right?...

Yes you can if you can provide reference for it and evidence of salary paid. You need not call it NYSC.

Thanks for your resourcefulness!

You can submit your BSc degree alone since you have substantial academic courses on welfare program.
BSc and MSc are both 15points. UI is one of the schools VETASSES asseses the qualification to be equivalent of Australia bachelor.

Thanks a lot. I thought as much, your reply eased my doubts, at least from a logical perspective. One more thing please, In my resume and reference letter, im claiming point for NYSC work experience, have you any idea if DIBP or vetassess has reservations for NYSC experience? Thanks

^^^^ What did you study and where?

cheesy Mr Belong, thanks for the apt response. My degrees are Nigeria obtained. I studied adult education for my first degree and I intend to assess as a welfare centre manager cos that's quite related my exact line of profession. I have studied the Vetassess requirements and I think I have some chances with the b.ed alone cos I undertook a handful of courses in the welfare practices. However, my masters is in Community development and it's plainly welfare specific with the exception of few education courses. So I was thinking, it could make more sense if I incorporate my masters degree for an additional edge provided, Vetassess is feet dragging with my undergraduate degree, but I'm quite mindful of the possible negative implication of showing off my second degree. Hence, why I ask. Thanks a lot

Hi everyone and the maverick Mr Bellong. I'm new to this forum and thanks for the support you are all giving. Please I have a question to ask.
I have 5 years work experience post bachelors but in between the 5 years, I have an 18 months masters degree. However, my work was retained during the period. How do you think Vetassess would literally view my work experience? 5 years or 3.5 years? Response would be appreciated please

tjski, Im sorry Anvaller finished you, he was more reasonable wuth his Opinion, Besides, he took you to school!, In my own opinion, because you probably attended a University doesnt mean you should talk to polyts with such disrespect and despise!, If 19k no be money to you, then you must be a thief or an Aristo, I think people get it all wrong when they begin to fight for Ajimobi or Fashola or whosoever, They are on their job and u are just a spectator, so it is not always worth it to judge, it is firstly expected of you to watch,, It is true Ajimobi promised poly students that if they vote for him, he wld slash the fees by half on his inauguration day, Commonsensically. i knew that would not be possible, but it doesnt give us the audacity to say such disrespectful statements to the struggling poly students, This is politics, If Akala increased the fees, and u feel its not right, then we should blame him for it, If Ajimobi makes a promise that he didnt fulfill , theres no need for self pity,we should blame him too, !
Politics / Pdp Takes Ajimobi To Court by beautysky: 11:17pm On May 21, 2011
I dont want to talk about the sections of the law, cos no matter how much you clarify the issue, some people still dont want to accept the truthfull implications.
I voted for Ajimobi at the Polls, but if eventually the claims are true about him, then he need not be in that position., cos that already depicts the kind of leader he is. He couls have relinquished his citizenship before the election, having known that the governorship election-position in Oyo state is one of the most observed in Nigeria, considering its highly competitive nature. Law can be very funny, and Ajimobi could win the case, provided he did not sign allegiance to the american govt that he wld bear ammunitions and fight for the course of America, whenever called upon!, But Unfortunately every citizen must go through that, I still wonder when our leaders will begin to respect the rule of law and not take serious issues lightly, If Akala eventually wins this case., i will have no hard feelings, cos we as the electorates tried our best for Ajimobi, we fought and we perservered, and whoever becomes the governor next is Ordained by God, no ammount of blabbing and shouting can change that!, Merci
