Kel has to be the weakest 9ja rapper alive. Not out with an album and already, we are sleeping on her style. Too busy augmenting her cholesterol levels rather than upgrading her rap art. Like why? I havent heard or seen any female rapper that works as hard as Kel does. In just one year, she's been on several tracks on her one or featuring with others; she's in our faces; working hard to be relevant and men, don't y'all see improvement and the fact that she's eager and willing to work. She has come a long way and I daresay that she's the reason why a lot of other female acts are springing up and trying to get their material out there because they have seen someone else rise out of nothing and doing good. Give KEL a break, her album drops soon; be expectant and hopeful for good music in Nigeria |

JUST TRYNA GET VIEWS FROM Y'ALL ABT ONLINE MUSIC STORES. WOULD U PAY ONLINE TO GET A MUSIC ALBUM? ESPECIALLY IF IT WAS A LIMITED EDITION VERSION WITH MERCHANDISE ATTACHED. NAIJ ARTISTS NEED AN ALTERNATIVE MEDIUM TO MARKET & DISTRIBUTE THEIR WORKS; ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH INT'L QUALITIES. THING IS DIGITAL MARKETING & DISTRIBUTION WORKS IN OTHER COUNTRIES COS THE MARKET'S OPEN TO THE IDEA BUT ARE WE, NIGERIANS, READY TO EXPLORE THE NEW MEANS OF GETTING GOOD MUSIC & COOL MERCHANDISE? LEMME KNW WHAT U FINK? |
Ice Prince ", see I'm all over the media, I break a plantation like 2face Idibia" (from Extraordinary) ", evrything I spit is logical son, and i'm far from pop, like the prodigal son" ", even if you're latex, your pricks wanna f with us." ", I had to repeat myself, I only emphasize cos the metaphor's def!" (Talking The Hardest - Naija Mix Vol. 2) Jesse Jags ", the only muthaf*#ker like me, is my reflection" (Talking The Hardest - Naija Mix Vol. 2) Kel ", i keep a mean stack but i act like i'm just starting, that's the hustling state of mind, " ", u wanna talk smack, then speak d truth, i'm getting rave reviews in and outta d booth, " |
this track's just the theme song for the 2009 ed of the Hiphop World Awards, i fink Naijs jus criticize too much, rather than praise n encourage. mefinks everyone repped well on the track, kel's doing really well for a female MC in a male dominated industry, pple jus give her props as it's due. banky w did a lovely hook, M.I repped jus as well. |
PLS PLS PLS Wizkid doesn't sound like Wande Coal in anyway ABEG! His sound is so different! Wizkid is in a class that's yet to be acknowledged in Naij. Listen to him on 'Talking the Hardest {9ja Mix Vol. 2} with Jesse Jags & Iceprince and tell him how Wande Coal comes close to this. http://www.zshare.net/audio/53768428110c3159/

In a dynamic and competitive music industry, which seems to be dominated by the male folk; Kel, one of the few female hip-hop artists in these parts, is set to prove that the industry is just enough to accommodate anyone with outstanding musical prowess, as she releases new singles. Following the success of her first song ‘Waa Wa Alright’, which enjoyed and is still receiving impressive reviews from music enthusiasts and the media, both on the local and international scene; Kel raises the bar with 2 new songs. “Push” is a groovy tune with a fusion of several music genres; on this song, Kel demonstrates versatility as she partners with rising Ragga act, Nyore to make another hit song. “Push” will no doubt become a favourite on the playlists of many. She slows the tempo on the second song, “Beautiful Life”, which an easy listen and feel-good song. Both songs were produced by Tha Suspect, with beats sequenced by Dr. Frabs. You can listen to them on http://www.myspace.com/kelposterchildofrap |
