Vanekj: Thanks @Dwebb55 and Modath. After intensive research both on Nairaland and online i've told DH that i'm porting. The cost from MD no be hear o!. Considering Houston and Virginia as you mentioned
Please fellow Nairalanders, haven't seen much post here on Virginia hospitals. Any one with a contact or relevant information about Virginia please help a sister.
Also considering using either Oakbend hospital or Elpaso. Since i have family in Maryland plan is to travel at 32 weeks to Maryland and then move to Texas closer to due date (at least to save some accommodation cost in Texas) then return to Maryland after birth before coming back to Naija. I plan to say all this during my Interview. I've read so much about honesty and all during interviews on this platform. Please advise me if i'm on the right track.
Please anyone with Direct contact with EL-paso or Oakbend please email me @ Vanekj03@yahoo.com. Or let me know so i can send PM you. i hope i got that right. I'm still a bit new to how Nairaland works though...Lol
Thanks Guys! Herico doctors hospital Virginia.. It'd about 1hr 30min to Maryland |

MamaOO: With the immigration issues going on in America right now, commuting insurance fraud is the last thing that should be on my mind. You told them self pay at the POE and I believe you had money to pay for your childbirth b fore you left Nigeria. Don't let a few thousand dollars bar you from future entrance into this country. Not worth the stress. Thank you for this information God bless you |
Travel › Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by beejay112: 10:00am On Jan 29, 2017 |
placebo: Isn't that insurance fraud? Whether in america or nigeria, if you are not registered for an insurance policy and try to get the covers assocuated with that policy, i believe it is considered to be some type of fraud. So please think this offer well. It may affect your future POE and Visa renewal. I don't believe a few thousand dollors is worth it. Thank you so much for the info |

Hi Nairaland families, just got to Virginia for my child birth. At the Poe, I was asked how am going to make my payment on the delivery, I told them self payment but fortunately I got my cousins number in Newyork and he told me to deliver in Newyork so that the money will be removed from his health insurance which will just be$4,500. Is it advisable to use his health insurance for my childbirth bills? Hope their wount be any problem at the POE in the future. Thanks Nairalanders and God bless you all. |

vamum: You should be fine. The airports in DC (IAD/DCA) are about 2 hours (2 1/2 plus traffic) from Richmond VA. You can get an Uber costs about $200 for your comfort or a $15 greyhound bus or Amtrak < $50 from DC to Richmond depending on comfort level for you. Uber will be straight from the airport to destination others will include taxi to the station (greyhound/amtrak) and taxi to your destination from the station here in Richmond. Most people fly directly from the DC airports cos its cheaper, the only downside is the additional stress getting from Richmond to DC. If possible try and route your return flight out from Richmond so you don't have to deal with that additional road trip with the newborn. Noted thanks |

Ulio: Mission accomplished!
Used henrico doctors hosp virginia. DR W.F ..mild pain started early hrs of 5th, by the time I got to d hospital as I was 2hrs away, I was 4cm dilated, baby arrived 11.6.16. (Vaginal birth no epidural - d pain no b here, I wnt try that next time) note that each time I look at my son d pain fades the more..
Was discharged after 2days Dr 850, hosp 2078, paedtrician 1228, healthy baby 264 . hearing test cancelled
Gt birth certificate after 2weeks Nig passport 240 expedited at d embassy n got it next day. US passport 165 expedited n gt it next day at Washington passport agency.
Infant ticket with BA $349. De insisted baby's ticket is 1 way saying that's d remaining part of d trip as baby mst be attached to an adult else I purchase another ticket for myself returning to US. Payed at d airport on departure.
On board bassinet was provided, air hostess were of great help as I was alone from Washington to London. As usual entertainment was great.
Landed Abj 6th aftr the long layover very tired. Mother and child are doing great thankfully. Indeed my case has been different. Another testimony- gt a new job as I was away.
God's grace to everyone in d house. Also met Tolu a fellow NL mama. It's been a pleasure meeting a friend and sister in diaspora.. We had a great time. .
Thanks to everybody for contributing to d success of this trip..AdomMum I really appreciate you. Am using the same hospital... Can you pls help on how you go about the accommodation |

The flight was looooooooooooooong and I no dey chop them oyinbo food so hunger mama me for the plane. Your best bet if you are like me. Chop well before any flight and buy burger from the airport and take along on the flight. Got to IAD and was fast tracked to the front to meet CBP. CBP asked exactly the same questions, we gave the same answers. Asked how much cash, we told him $10170. CBP: any food with you? Me: legumes and other processed foods CBP: any meat or fresh foods and plants? Me: no. All foods procesed and dried. He stamps us in till April 2017. We went for secondary inspection cause we declared over $10000. CBP asks how much we have, told her $6170 cash, #4000 in card. We fill our forms and out we go. At the door another CBP collects our passports and scans our faces before handing it back. The wheelchair guy was amazing, always calming us down and assuring us everything was okay. Even gave us his phone to call my cousin and came to look for us when my cousin arrived to pick us up and couldn't get in touch with me. All in all, a great journey and the hospital experience will come late. [ |

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors & Imams Come To Consult Ifa – Ifayemi Elebuibon by beejay112: 5:42pm On Oct 27, 2013 |
Am very happy with this page.ifayemi is a well known ifa priest in ikorodu and he has always been respected by most government officials.most of the onifa,s are fraudsters and impostures but OBA ifayemi is not like them.I remember a ifa priest named BABA ETIKO in Agege,he is the second in command to OBA IFAYEMI,he told me much about ifa and I noticed he is always straight forward man compare to one OLUWO ADEMOLA which OBA IFAYEMI dismissd from his palace last year and it was even written in the paper.oluwo demola was dismissed fro Saala because he is rude. Back to the point, why I refused to serve ifa is,if u are killing any animal for ur ifa,u must bow down ur head for it and say ifa ori mi ree ooo,and the lord wrote it in the bible and quran tht don't bow down for anything I made because am the jealous God. Yes I can confirm it,over 200 pastorsi knew that have ifa but the church members will not know.ifa is good but putting ur head down is not wht I like in it. |
