N3TRAL: Ihordspy, Kudos!
I'm proud of you. You've analyzed the whole stuff logically and legally.
Section 60(5) of the Electoral Act gives INEC the discretion to transmit the election in a manner they think is the best.
In the whole of the Electoral Act 2022 and the CFRN 1999 (The Primary Laws governing Electoral matters), there's no mention of electronic voting / transmission or mandatory electronic transmission.
The opposition are basing their claim on an administrative promise/ guideline which cannot displace the discretion vested on INEC by the Electoral Act to transmit the Election in a manner most appropriate to them.
INEC is like a seller and the law mandates him to deliver goods bought to consumers in a way he thinks is the best. INEC the seller promises on its own that it is likely to deliver through a pick up van but on the day of the delivery, INEC delivers through a motorcycle. The court cannot cancel the delivery because the mode of delivery was INEC's business and not contained in any Law that will be quoted in court. It's as simple as ABC.
Section 135 of the Electoral Act also states that an election shall not be invalidated/ cancelled even if there was not total compliance with the Act. As long as there is substantial compliance with the act and the non-compliance does not affect the results substantially, then the election remains valid. INEC strictly complied with the act as there was no provision for electronic transmission.
2023 Election is the fairest elections in Nigeria's history. Very straight forward Analysis... I’m beginning to believe that my unborn baby is wiser than obi and his crew this time... Anyways don’t expect much from a third class guy... |

Politics › Re: The Lagos State Criminal Cartel by beelon1020(m): 4:22pm On Mar 16, 2023 |
this is pure fake story and a big propaganda... Searching03: Dear Lagosians,
In 1980, Alhaji Lateef Jakande started the construction of the then non-existent Lekki-Epe Expressway, to connect the Eastern axis of Lagos State by road to the rest of Lagos.
By December 1983, when Muhammadu Buhari & his band i of coupists struck, he had completed it to up to 53km, at Ibeju-Agbe town.
Buhari ordered a stop to ALL development works in Lagos State, including the Metro Rail Line Project that had already been paid for in full, & the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru, appointed Governor by Buhari, an indigene of Ikorodu, Lagos State, instead reduced the scope of the project to single carriageway and connected Ibeju-Lekki to Epe regardless.
In 2003/2004, Tinubu, from Iragbiji, in Osun State, signed the Lagos State PPP board. In 2006, he suddenly announced that LCC had "won" the concession for the Lekki-Epe Expressway, with no public or private bidding process, & the project was valued at ₦50b at the time.
He then also announced the transfer of 1500 hectares of prime, beach front land to Messrs ARM Ltd, gratis, as Lagos State's "contribution" to the funding of the Lekki-Epe Expressway "expansion" project. Lagos State was selling plots at Abijo Residential Scheme at the time at ₦5m per plot. The 22,500 plots at Lakowe would therefore cost about ₦67.5b, with a 40% discount off Abijo, just 10 minutes away.
Not long after, a $42m "mezzanine loan" was granted to LCC/ARM by LASG! Again, more state contribution to the ostensibly "private" project.
The concession agreement grants sweeping powers to LCC, & is reminiscent of colonial "protectorate" agreements in its letter and its spirit, but that was always the intention, as we have seen over time.
The Lakowe land was used as collateral for a $340m syndicated loan, provided in tranches of $85m each by UBA Capital (Elumelu - now you understand the "Prezzdential" visit), Stanbic IBTC, Standard Bank of South Africa and African Development Bank (years before Akinwunmi Adeshina).
Tolling began when construction barely reached km 6, and the construction remains UNCOMPLETED till date. 17 years under construction, for a dual carriageway that was at 53km within 3 years, FORTY YEARS AGO!
I keep hearing 4th Mainland Bridge, at almost ₦1 trillion as of 2019. With the devaluation of the ₦ since then, we're looking easily at over ₦1 trillion now, plus another 20 years to complete, based on their record on Lekki-Epe Expressway, plus 50 years tolling, and the near complete demolition of Ikorodu, Badore and parts of Lekki from behind the Lagos Business School.
If you still vote for APC in Lagos State after reading this, you deserve everything that will surely befall you if they win.
Postscript: At the height of Tolling of Lekki-Epe Expressway & Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, a certain individual was earning a fantastic sum running into hundreds of millions DAILY in CASH. Now you understand the kerfuffle surrounding the new notes.
You also understand the why of the LekkiTollGateMassacre

We all underrated a man who could. . .

We all underrated a man. . .
Who pocketed the media for years and controlled the narrative. Pocketed Lagos for over 20 years and decided who governs her. Controlled APC and brought in Buhari to rule after he has even given up.
I think we underrated or did not pay attention to how
His greatest critic, FFK, became his biggest defender. The "almighty" Wike with his band became his puppet. The one-time respected lawyer Festus Keyamo became his errand boy.
Maybe, just maybe, we underrated him too much and never saw that he can buy INEC, buy the electoral system, and control even the police and judiciary.
We urged him on with our silence and even hailed him as a City boy.
But in all these. . . He underrated the present youths, and that is his greatest undoing. If we allow this to stand, we should expect this to be only but the beginning. If we win this, we will put an end to impunity and thuggery, and intimidation. This robbery should not be allowed. Stop crying please! This is politics, and it’s a game! Many a times Nigerians have taken on Ghana , south Africa, cameroun, Uganda and even other non African countries who tried attacking Nigeria Via social media and we successful won these fights. Unfortunately for tinubu these countries know that Nigerians voted massively against him so he's now totally vulnerable against these attacks.
The Nigerian youths who were hitherto meant to rise against these attacks from these countries are even against him so all the insults hurled at him are directly penetratable to him.
Nobody will defend him when these insults keep coming. More are yet to come. Does all the insults pull a hair string from his body? No! Which Nigeria president never collect before? Why bubu came out the other day to declared he has hearing problems.. Is not new jorr.. Make dem kontinu... |

That is one wrong thing about holding the Presidential elections first. This time, we have been robbed and injured, we have been dragged, we have been laughed at, we have been challenged to do our worst. They are counting on the usual pattern, that is, people will swear not to vote again, but no. We will give them red nose. We have a pound of flesh to cut, we must descend on those States that played dirty game with us, and then the power blocks that are proving stubborn. We must make sure their candidates bow to LP candidates and the Houses of Assemblies have full Coloration of Labour Party. Remember, this will help boost Obi’s struggle to reclaim is mandate. jasonex4: SUMMARY OF BISHOP FEYI'S PROPHECY 1. Tinubu would rig the election 2. INEC would announce Tinubu as winner. 3. A video about tinubu celebrating would trend 4. Youths would start massive protests. 5. Obi would go to court. 6. Obi would be arrested which would lead to a more violent protest than EndSARS. 7. On May 29th, Tinubu would be arrested. 8. An interim government would be formed, headed by Prof. Osibanjo. 9. The courts would later declare Obi the winner of the election. 10. Obi would be released and sworn-in as president.
