Chief the guy scored the goal because Real Madrid players stopped playing the moment the flag went up. Or you think they would had stood like that if the whistle wasn't blown?

This is not the bone of contention

Here’s what the FA rule says

1. Offside position
It is not an offence to be in an offside position.

A player is in an offside position if:
any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered. For the purposes of determining offside, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the bottom of the armpit.
A player is not in an offside position if level with the: second-last opponent or last two opponents

Real Madrid is a fraudulent club. How come De Ligt’s goal was chalked off for offside?

You can't run an administration solely on propaganda. Even Hitler who had a propaganda minister in the person of Gobbles, had a considerable amount of actual success he showcased to the German population. That's why they followed him.

But our BATeria cannot point out one policy he has made since last year that has benefitted the common man. It's just lies upon lies and more taxes.

There’s oil on your head. The Germans at that point in time were living so well that they gave their support to take on the English and French.

Casted league of frauds

You can say that again

Bundesliga v. Premier League in Europe 23/24

Bayern Munich 4-3 Manchester United
Manchester United 0-1 Bayern Munich

Newcastle United 0-1 Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Newcastle United

Arsenal 2-2 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 West Ham United
West Ham United 1-1 Bayer Leverkusen

Bundesliga 6 wins, 2 draws.
The Premier League is very overrated.

Then we will still have bad light.

Nigeria can't fund a good enough subsidy for power, and no I am not excusing corruptuion...the corruption is even making matters worse, and we got to fight it, but sadly our poltiicans and most people aren't interested , and it angers me. We are not earning enough, and our debt is eating most of our earnings.

But the main thing is we rely on one source of income...oil. For a nation our size we should have a diverse income portfolio, with manufacturing forming a great part of it, before we can earn money to supply power perfectly and subsidise it.

Vietnam is struggling to maintain subsides...see the power shortages coming.

Yeah. We’re an Oil dependent nation, and the heist going on in central government, ministries agencies and departments is not helping matters still.

Another mystery is that the Ministry of Solid Minerals have not publicized how they’re contributing towards the country’s purse. There are too many things shrouded in secrecy.

Well, VIetnam is a state run concern. And they have a lower populaton than we do. Nigeria has privatised power since 2013...and the right thing should have been to let them set their prices...but no.

As for examples..let's use Ivory coast. It used to be like Nigeria with even grid collapsing...until 1993, when they privatised power, and even additionally let the sector set its prices.

NO power cuts since 1993, no problems with grid collapse.

As for Vietnam

SO, issues

He said that electricity prices should be sufficient to cover product costs, while the government’s subsidy must be separated from the pricing.

The central government can do this if they want to.

The purchasing power of Nigerians is too weak to absorb the pressures facing the removal of subsidy on Petroleum Products, Education, Electricity amongst others.

Good development.
Politics / Re: Petrol Scarcity Worsens Nationwide by Bekermann(m): 2:48pm On Apr 29
nairalanda1:

Because Nigerians do not want to pay the market price of petrol and power.

That is why you have epileptic power and epileptic petrol supply.

Right now, you all are supposed to pay N184 per kwh of power, and N1000 and above for petrol. Yet, only 20% of us pay above N184 per kwh for power now, and petrol is below N800 at most filing stations, N900 at worst.

SO, at the end, nothing would smoothly run.

Subsides are supposed to bridge the gap, but are usually not sufficent. Corruption is a part of the issue, but the main thing is that it costs money to produce petrol and power.

And if you are not paying above the cost of production, issues are going to arise.

DO you have issues with your phone usage? Issues with food supply? Or issues sending a parcel? No, because they all are allowed to charge their prices for services rendered. Power , like I said is supposed to be N184, yet until recently, 100% of the country was paying below N71 per kwh. Now it is 80%

See, profit lubiricates things. take away the right of profit in the name of helping the poor, and providers will find it difficult to give you a-grade service, because it would make them so broke, their accounts would be reading something like minus one million dollars..lol.

You won't sell your product below what it cost to produce it to help poor nigerians.

I get your point but everything all boils down to the ineptitude of the central government.

I’ll take for example a country of similar economic outlook like ours, Vietnam.

What the Vietnamese have done in the recent past was to invest heavily in electricity even whilst taking loans in the process. They were also heavily subsidizing electricity at some point (as I type this, the Vietnamese pay about N11.5 the Nigerian Naira equivalent as electricity cost).

These business friendly environment was what triggered telecoms giant, Samsung to set up a massive factory where about 50% of their phones are being manufactured.

We are in 2024 and topical issues like this shouldn’t be an issue. Just to add, as at 2015, our GDP Per Capita was in the same bracket as what is obtainable in the aforementioned country. But as at today, the draconian policies of the central government has reduced our GDP Per Capita to half of what’s obtainable there, yet the central government wants Nigerians to pay more than 10x of what the Vietnamese are paying.

Isn’t that sheer wickedness?

Religion / Re: Who First Saw Jesus After His Resurrection? by Bekermann(m): 9:58am On Mar 31
jesusjnr2020:
Who First Saw Jesus After His Resurrection?

According to the Bible, it was a woman.

Mark 16:9-11 (KJV)

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

The woman's name was Mary Magdalene. She was the one Jesus first appeared to after His resurrection that He first sent to His church to deliver the message of His resurrection.

John 20:16-18 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

So it was a woman who preached the first Gospel in the church after the resurrection of Jesus, and it was Jesus Himself who sent her to preach it there.

Therefore anytime you hear any idea, doctrine or teaching which says that the woman ought not to speak in the church but to be silent, know that it's not of Christ, because according to the Gospels and Bible, Christ clearly permitted a woman to speak in the church, as a woman was the first person He sent to to convey the message of His resurrection to the church after He had resurrected from the dead.

Moreover, if you see a woman preaching or speaking in a church, saying that Jesus had appeared to her and sent her to deliver a message to the church, do not see it as unusual just because it's a woman and not a man, as a woman was the first person Jesus appeared to after His resurrection and also the first He sent to preach the Gospel of His resurrection to the church.

Jesus even rebuked His church, which includes His first eleven disciples, for not believing the woman and the others He first sent to them with the Gospel of His resurrection before He physically appeared to them, to illustrate how important the message He sent her to deliver to the church was to Him.

Mark 16:14 (KJV)

Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

God bless.

You are on point. I tell people that Apostle Paul’s provisions in 1st Corinthians 14: 34 was specifically directed towards the women in Corinth due to their argumentative nature.

One cannot really understand the scriptures if one isn’t well grounded in History especially, including Biology and Geography.

When President Tinubu said a trillion dollar economy is possible for Nigeria, people were mocking him. One thing I admire about him is that there’s no such thing as impossible in his dictionary.

This recapitalization policy by the CBN governor is a step in the right direction. He seems to be a very brilliant man.
