[quote . I will continue sharing my bad experiences and will ALWAYS mention the name of the horrible insurance provider. Like I said, kindly provide your claim number and vehicle reg number. What reason did PHB give? It has to be revisited. I know their corporate affairs mgr. Pls dont say its been 3 yrs. |
It is simply sabotage. Barth Nnaji as power minister posted soldiers to all power stations and there was appreciable power supply. The staff unions insisted he withdrew the soldiers, the vested interests (generator importers and politicians milking the power minister through contracts) ensured he left office. Soon after he left, situation nose-dived. Power supply CANNOT improve if the above are not tackled no matter the privatisation. |
donchisel: Also, once the tracked car goes out of coverage area, it cannot be traced. Insurance companies provide free tracking and also pay when vehicle is damaged. |
HOW? who used it? how to use it? when to use it? |
donchisel: Just ensure your third party is not a fake. Visit www.askniid.org input your vehicle reg no after clicking on check a policy - thats the database of insurance in nigeria. soon police will check with devices being supplied to them and the fines for fakes would be embarrassing and time wasting. |
chucky234: All my cars has lead assurance papers attached with their docs but I never for once bother to ask if they are fake, beside I don't think I can be that patient to wait for months for insurance company to fix my car after a crash when I can easily take it to the mechanic workshop to have it fixed.simply visit www.askniid.org click on check a policy type in the vehicle reg no to confirm if it is insured validly and in the nigerian insurance industry database. You are breaking the law if you are not validly insured as the law makes insurance compulsory |
modele2: May God help you. If you ever hit somebody crossing the road in error (Pray it does not happen) Death benefit is unlimited depending on the status of the individual. It could be up to N50m which the insurance company must pay including your legal expenses. I guess you have so much millions to pay if the unexpected occur instead of paying just N5000 to obtain the real thing. You also may have opened a special account to be keeping such funds in case of the unexpected. We always pray that it CANNOT happen to us. May God not let it happen to us. Please visit www.askniid.org to check your insurance policy if it is fake. It is the insurance database in Nigeria |
smartchoice: Good what is the spread of these coys you just mentioned in Nigeria? So if I stay in Akure/Kabba I simply can't access them so the fake one remains my most viable option!Consolidated Hallmark you listed above is present in Akure - at Alagbaka area (main business area) and I heard on radio the company's third party insurance can now be paid for at the counter from any branch of zenith bank and you process your certificate yourself with the pin collected from their website - www.consolidatedhallmark.com my friend evaristus in Sun newspaper just did that. He paid at zenith bank and printed his certificate himself with a copy in his email for future printing. |
smartchoice: Please name such reliable insurance companies as you people claim. Waiting patiently.Leadway, Consolidated Hallmark, Mansard, Custodian to mention but a few. |
blank: I insured with Insurance PHB (Comprehensive insurance). I had two separate accidents. When it came to time to pay, come and see negotiation. They paid less than 10% of the cost to fix the car and not even up to the premium I paid. This was after more than 2 months. Please post your policy number and the claim number(s). This matter will be investigated after contacting the company. include your email for a follow up. Do not say you want it buried. One out of the several companies MAY still misbehave because some people are not ready to enforce their rights but give up easily. |
otokx: Tell that to the birds, even brand new cars that have full insurance when issues come out you have to visit and visit and visit the insurance companies before they will pay a part of it.Insurance is a contract agreed upon at the beginning. If you are not satisfied with the way you are treated, you have the right to: 1. Complain to the regulator to intervene 2. Go to court to seek redress and all costs including legal fees incurred. 3. Surrender and dismiss the companies as no good thus waiving your rights and leaving you in future to: a. cough out fresh funds to replace your vehicle if stolen or damaged (God help you if that does not affect your finances adversely) b. face the ordeal of being "car less" until you can recover (God forbid) If you have a car or other assets, choice is yours to have something you can argue about (valid cover)or nothing at all to argue about. |
Dis Guy: I know how insurance is meant to work...Im just asking if you hit lukman the danfo driver, will he actually take this from paper from you without causing a scene and holding everybody up on the main roadYou can take the danfo driver to your mechanic or his mechanic and call up your insurance company to meet you there for negotiation. You wont pay in the middle of the road, will you? You can also pay and present the papers - pictures of the accident to your insurance company to reimburse you, as far as you call them up on phone to inform them when it occured. |
otokx: @benaigMy people perish for lack of knowledge. I had an accident with my toks Honda Bullet along lag - Ib expressway. My mechanic negotiated and agreed cost of repairs with the insurance company and I was paid in less than one month. That is my true personal experience. It will be foolhardy for me to go about with mere pieces of paper on the mere heresay that insurance companies do not pay. GO GET GENUINE INSURANCE FROM ANY REGISTERED COMPANY REPORT ANY DISSATISFACTION TO NAICOM or NIG INSURERS ASSOCIATION if unfairy treated I dont have to work in an insurance firm to help disabuse the minds of people. Thank you. |
Fhemmmy: Are you serious?WHO told you? which type of policy was involved and which insurance company? |
otokx: Those 3rd party insurance papers are only useful in keeping you from the wiles of the policeman and maybe FRSC. In the case of an accident you will have to bear the cost especially when you are at fault. It is only the fake third party papers that you cannot claim with. Go to a registered insurance company and tell us which one will fail to pay your claim for third party liability even when you are at fault. It is to protect you even when you are at fault against third parties |
Dis Guy: same here, lengthy paper work and plenty of oyinboWhich company spoke plenty of oyinbo with you without paying? |
Dis Guy: ever been to lagos? theres a crash every minute and people still dont get insurance, they just hold everyone up negotiating price of repair.... there must be a reasonWhich people are not getting insurance claims paid? I have a friend who paid N40,000 for comprehensive insurance and has been paid claims for two separate accidents within the last six months of starting the policy - the two payments made within two weeks of the accidents- and his policy has not expired. Want his number to confirm? He runs a furniture factory at Okota. |
T-smooth:Those who know that it is better to obtain genuine insurance would NOT call it silly or stupid because: 1. It covers you for up to N1m in third party damages 2. Covers legal expenses/costs in the event of third party claims 3. Death benefits of third parties is unlimited depending on status of victim 4. Covers medical expenses resulting from injuries to third parties while using your vehicle. 5. Allows you to report grievances to NAICOM and NIA against defaulting insurance companies without going to court and you get justice. WHY go for an ordinary piece of paper that provides nothing? |
It beats my imagination why most car owners prefer the ordinary piece of paper that does not provide any cover (obtained from licencing offices) to the genuine third party insurance that costs N5000 only and protects them for up to N1million in third party liabilities (from registered insurance companies) Often they argue that insurance companies do not pay claims, whereas they have not experience such on their own. The are also oblivious of the several avenues for complaints set up by insurance industry bodies like NAICOM and NIA to address complaints against insurance companies. |
Gboliwe: The person using it now has the display name as Prince Adeyemi Horlanzo.I guess PRINCE ADEYEMI HORLANZO purchased it from Azeez Olanrewaju Olaiya who was using display name of Hyperlanrez at a time, except it is the same thief now using a different name. In any case, the user should know he is with a stolen phone and would be tracked down soon with use of technology. Evidence of purchase would be required - original pack etc showing the PIN. |
ilugunboy: He could be a receiver of the stolen phone and not the actual thief.....but he is still an accomplice though is that is the caseHe is the thief as he posted his name beside mine on my twitter profile since the twitter was still on, before I blocked the line. BEWARE OF BUYING USED NAIJA PHONE FROM SOURCES YOU DO NOT TRUST. He may have sold it to another now. WHOEVER is using PIN 26C9A688, it is stolen. I still have original documents from place of purchase. |
Gboliwe: How did it happen?Picked from my pocket while getting down from BRT Bus. Noticed immediately I disembarked. Called the number, he refused to pick. Kept using the phone till I was able to block the line. The guy even visited my twitter and edited my name to include his in bracket since twitter profile was running before I blocked it. |

samtheman: By your words i know the party you belong.Upon the NOISE making, Nigerians (FCT Residents in this case) refused to listen. I support OshoBaba in Edo state, GEJ because the Abokis who want to determine whoever rules Nigeria DO NOT OWN THIS COUNTRY. Let APC present someone that is not a Northern muslim as presidential candidate if serious. These guys ruined Nigeria for 38 years out of 52. |
mojounited: @OP, do you have any source and/or picture(s) to substantiate you claim?Claim? Visit Auchi end, and also Benin end (by the by-pass flyover) and see for yourself. Was also live on NTA three weeks ago. |
Winning five out of six FCT council areas on saturday make me thing the opposition parties only make so much noise on paper and social media. DOES it mean they lack grassroots support among the masses NATIONWIDE? I am not a card carrying member of any party but feel strongly that opposition parties shouls ALWAYS ADDRESS real issues e.g construction of NEW and PRIVATIZATION of existing petroleum refineries. Also not comfortable with LASU, belonging to an ACN state charging the highest school fees among universities owned by government, whereas Obafemi Awolowo gave free education to some of the pretenders to progressive credentials. |
Afam4eva: Some of you should be ready to back up whatever you say. How is GEJ better for the SE. Name one thing of note that he has done for the SE?One Thing - 1st ever South Easterner as Chief of Army Staff- rejigging the army. Secondly - Commencement of 2nd Niger Bridge. Thirdly - Onitsha River Port Fourthly - Serious work on neglected Enugu PH road Fifthly - Due recognition to your Ikemba Ojukwu - befitting burial & wife as ambassador |
So glad to witness the flag-off of the dualization of Benin-Auchi Road. For too long that road had remained the only road linking one geo-political zone to another that isnt dual carriage (links North Central to South South) where black gold - Nigerian economy's mainstay is extracted. May God make it possible for the project to be actualized soon. A M E N |
Ikpeba put his hands on his head in despair thinking the shot didnt enter. |
