Former United States President Trump has said he will defend Christianity and religious liberty if is re-elected to the White House in November 2024. Speaking at the National Religious Broadcasters convention on Thursday, where his words were met with enthusiasm, Trump touted the accomplishments of his first administration, including his record on abortion, Israel, the Supreme Court and judges and religious liberty; and promised to do even better once re-elected.

“And I will fight even harder for Christians with four more years in the White House,” said Trump. “We did things that, the likes of which nobody has ever done for Christians in this country. And I’m very proud of that and honored by it. Just think of what, with God’s help, we already achieved in our historic first term,” he said.

This year marks the 80th anniversary for NRB, Trump also noted in his speech.

“This great organization has helped spread the word of God, the love of Christ, the stories of the holy Bible, and the voices of famed evangelical people and evangelists like the late, great Pat Robertson, who was a great gentleman. I got to know him very well. Great evangelist. And, of course, the legendary Billy Graham. How good was Billy Graham, right?” said Trump.

Trump also said he would tackle what has become a major issue for students and parents in schools.

“I will also take historic action to defeat the toxic poison of gender ideology and restore the timeless truth that God created two genders, male and female,” he said. “I will keep men out of women’s sports and I will sign a law prohibiting child sexual mutilation in all 50 states.”

In a heart-wrenching, devastating road accident near Arusha, in the Ngaramtoni suburb, Tanzania, on Feb. 24, 11 missionaries from Youth With A Mission (YWAM), lost their lives in a traffic accident. The devastating multi-vehicle crash also claimed the lives of several others.

News of the incident was confirmed by YWAM through a series of real-time updates.

“It is morning time in Tanzania, and we are deeply saddened to confirm the passing of another three of our dear missionaries as a result of the tragic traffic accident,” YWAM said in a Sunday morning update about the death toll. “Eleven of our friends are now with Jesus. Two are still in critical condition in the hospital.”

“As a movement, we gather around all those impacted by this tragedy, their families, and their communities. We are working to meet all the pressing practical, financial, and emotional needs that arise,” the statement continues.

“The accident, attributed to a suspected brake failure of a truck in the Ngaramtoni suburb of Arusha, involved four vehicles and resulted in at least 15 fatalities, including three foreigners, and injured 12 others. Among the vehicles involved was one carrying students and teachers from New Vision School of Arusha and a public bus.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is asking God to forgive America and the West for normalizing and even pushing the LGBTQ idea to its citizens and children.

In a video obtained by Believers Portal, Putin declared that the Holy Scriptures say that family is the union of man and woman, stating that the West is at war with itself by attacking the nuclear family, normalizing pedophilia, and destroying its own traditions, culture, and national identity.

Gary Ridgway, the famous green river serial killer, snuffed out the lives of at least 48 women in the state of Washington, kept a stoneface all through the time in court, claimed he forgot about all the women she killed, never cared about what anyone said to him in court........ but something extraordinary happened.

Ridgway suddenly broke down in tears when one of the victim's father, Robert Rule, whose daughter's murder produced incalculable grief, forgave him.

Ridgway grew up in a troubled home where he witnessed violent arguments between his parents. As a young person, Ridgway had a bed-wetting problem until the age of 13, and his mother washed his private parts following each episode.

Ridgway’s former wives and girlfriends said he had a ravenous libido, often demanding intimate relations several times a day. To satisfy his lust, he visited prostitutes regularly.

He was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty of dozens of murders. As relative after relative addressed Ridgway in court, he appeared emotionless. Some even thought he was smirking, mocking the family members of his victims.

“He’s an animal,” Vicki Ware said in court at the sentencing hearing, according to a video produced by Alex Suciu. “I wish for him to have a long, suffering, cruel death.”

“He’s going to go to Hell, and that’s where he belongs,” Carol Estes declared.

“You have said that your memory of the women whose lives you took was gone,” said Michele Andrews. “Our memory is not. In your words you said they didn’t mean anything to you. But they meant everything.

“It was like he didn’t have any remorse at all,” Janine Mattoon remembered. “I just couldn’t believe that he could murder all those people and not remember them.”

After the group of relatives uttered imprecatory wishes upon him, one Christian father, Robert Rule, got his turn. Of course, the loss of his daughter, Linda Jane, produced incalculable grief, Rule told the hearing.

“Mr. Ridgway, there are people here who hate you. I am not one of them,” Rule said. “You’ve made it difficult to live up to what I believe and what God says to do and that is to forgive.

“You are forgiven.”

The stone face of the murderer broke and Ridgway cried. Perhaps the Holy Spirit broke through at that moment to bring conviction and remorse.

His life story tests the idea of eternal security for those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus. May God have mercy on Ridgway’s soul and bring comfort to the many victims’ families who have suffered far too much due to one man’s sin.

Ridgway is currently serving a life sentence at Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla.

Amazon Prime Video recently premiered an adult cartoon series that takes place in Hell, promoting satan as “the good guy,” sympathetic, while depicting God and his angels as heartless.

“Hazbin Hotel,” the eight-episode first season of which rolled out on Amazon Prime last Friday, is replete with profanity and vulgar sexual content, including references to BDSM and gang rape. The movie which portrays Lucifer sympathetically, features as its protagonist a character named Charlie Morningstar, who is his offspring, as noted by Newsbusters.

The plot of the show centers around Morningstar’s attempts to rehabilitate demons so they can return to Heaven.

One of the show’s episodes features a musical number during which a porn star is chained up and gang raped. During a song titled “A Happy Day in Hell,” Morningstar traipses through the streets of the underworld and happens upon two figures engaging in anal sex while one of them sports BDSM bondage gear.

The characters in the show are also suggestive, including Morningstar’s lesbian girlfriend named Vaggie, a porn star character named Angel Dust, a “sadistic maid” named Niffty, as well as “an array of underworld bigwigs like porn magnate Valentino,” according to synopsis of the show by Yahoo. Other demonic characters and Lucifer himself also make an appearance.

The opening scene of the first episode went viral and drew widespread backlash on social media after Amazon Prime tweeted it last week, with some users stating that they would be canceling their subscriptions in response to the show’s objectionable content.

For their act, Lucifer was cast into “the Dark Pit,” where he was not allowed to see “the good that came from humanity,” though Lilith “thrived, empowering humankind with her voice and her songs,” the show continued.

The clip closed by suggesting that Heaven was “threatened” by the growing power of Hell, leading its forces to make the annual “heartless decision” to send an exterminating army “to ensure Hell and sinners could never rise against them.”

The Israeli military on Monday lost 24 soldiers in the Gaza Strip, including 21 reservists in a single incident near the border. This is the single deadliest incident for the IDF since the Oct. 7 raid by Hamas that started Israel’s offensive in the besieged enclave.

Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern (ICC), told CBN Digital there have been an estimated 100,000 deaths over the past two decades, with 3.5 million Christian farmers being unfairly driven from their lands.

The ongoing and intense persecution has left King and other leaders perplexed as to why the State Department continues to leave Nigeria off its Countries of Particular Concern list, a designation King said provides “a list of the countries with the worst records on religious freedom around the world.”

Evangelist Franklin Graham has called out The Methodist Church of Great Britain for trying to “edit what the Word of God says” to avoid “what might offend people.”

Graham’s strong statement came after the church released an “Inclusive Language Guide” advising its leaders to avoid using gender terms such as “husband” and “wife” because it is not “the reality for many people” and instead use “neutral” words like “parent,” “partner,” and “carer.”

The denomination also called leaders to repent for hurtful language.

“Part of the work of being a justice-seeking Church is about recognizing and acknowledging that harm has been done to marginalized groups in the past, not just by wider society but at times by the Church itself, and that it is the Church’s responsibility to make amends for this,” the guidance reads. “It is crucial for our communications to be sensitive and inclusive because, for such a long time, some groups have been marginalized and/or demonized by common culture.”

The guidance, which will be updated every six months, also suggests that leaders use inclusive language when addressing their congregations. Instead of using terms like “men” and “women” they were encouraged to use less offensive language.

“Try gender-neutral language such as ‘folks’, ‘teammates’, ‘friends’, ‘colleagues’, or simply ‘people’! Similarly, the word ‘man’ used as a verb – ‘who is manning the front desk’, for example – can make people feel excluded,” it advised.

The Methodist Church’s guidance tells leaders to share their pronouns to help “create a safe space for people to be themselves.”

Graham blasted the guidance.

“Shame on the Methodist Church,” Graham, CEO of Samaritan’s Purse, wrote in a Facebook post. “These are Biblical terms — and marriage between a man and a woman is biblical truth. The word ‘wife’ is used in some 360 verses in 38 books of the Bible. They are in essence trying to edit what the Word of God says and teaches to be more appealing to the changing whims of culture. We are warned against that in Scripture. As Christians, we aren’t called to avoid what might offend people — we are called to share the Truth of God’s Word that can guide and direct us through every step of life.”

Amid the clear and escalating slaughtering of Christians in the nation, the faithful grow.

In what has become a dark annual tradition, Islamic militants in Nigeria carried out targeted attacks on Christians on Christmas Eve. Up to 200 are confirmed dead and about 300 injured in the attacks that were carried out in 20 villages across the north-central state of Plateau. Islamic militants have carried out similar Christmas attacks for at least the last four years.

The population of Nigeria is almost evenly divided between Muslims and Christians, a religious split that largely follows geographic lines. The northern part of the country is predominantly Muslim, and the eastern and southern parts heavily Christian. The middle of the country, sometimes called the “Middle Belt,” is ethnically and religiously diverse.

Not surprisingly, the threat to Christians originated from the Islamic north, though it has now spread to southern regions. Three groups are responsible for what Open Doors  has called a campaign of “religious cleansing” against Christians. Boko Haram, one of the most notorious Islamist terrorist groups in the world, is responsible for killing thousands of Christians and displacing countless more since violence began to escalate in 2015. In recent years, their ruthlessness has been matched by a rival group, the Islamic State in West Africa.

As dangerous as these explicitly Islamist groups are, the Fulani herdsmen are worse. Because the Fulani territory in north Nigeria is suffering from a long-term drought, the Fulani are moving south to access water. To take land and drive out Christians, the herdsmen have raided and burned villages, slaughtered villagers, destroyed crops, and engaged in a host of other atrocities. It was the Fulani who carried out this year’s Christmas attacks.

For years, the Nigerian government has denied the obvious religious dimensions of the Fulani herdsmen, instead claiming it to be a conflict between farmers and herders. Former President Muhammadu Buhari is a Fulani. Though he attempted to address some of the economic issues that drive Fulani militancy, he consistently denied that religion played any role in the conflict, pointing out that Muslim villages were also raided. However, the vast majority of attacks were committed against Christians, including Christians in churches on Christmas and Easter.

In fact, the Fulani’s history of Islamic militancy dates back to the late 17th century.  Denying the religious dimensions of these attacks is pure propaganda, according to the governor of the state of Plateau, Caleb Mutfwang. In a New Year’s broadcast, he called for a week of mourning to begin 2024, referring to the recent killings as a “Christmas genocide” and acknowledging the over 400 that were killed just between April and June of 2023.

These unprovoked and simultaneous attacks in different villages were clearly premeditated and coordinated.

These series of attacks on our people are a clear case of criminality, insurgency and terrorism and must be seen and handled in that manner if we must succeed in halting this wanton destruction of lives and property.

For the avoidance of doubt, it is a misrepresentation of facts to describe these needless and unprovoked attacks on our people as a Farmer-Herder clash, as has always been the traditional narrative. Let us call a spade a spade; this is simple genocide!

Indeed, what has happened to Nigerian Christians over the past decade and more meets the established international standards for the label genocide.  And yet, as Johnnie Moore noted on X, “the @StateDept is reticent to speculate on the motive of the perpetrators of a massacre of 200 Christians in Nigeria on Christmas, in an area rife with terrorists.”

It is highly suspect whether Nigerian Christians should expect help from Nigeria’s current president, who was sworn into office last May. Not only is Bola Ahmed Tinubu a Muslim, but he also broke with the tradition of selecting a Christian as vice president. Given the nation’s top two officeholders are Muslim, many are understandably skeptical of the president’s condemnation of the Plateau state attacks, as well as his promise that “the envoys of death, pain, and sorrow responsible for these acts will not escape justice.”

Fueling the skepticism could be that in mid-December President Tinubu referred to his predecessor as “an icon of truth, justice, and patriotism.” He then followed the habit of his predecessor in not acknowledging any religious motivation for the Christmas Day attacks.

Even if everyone else does, Christians must not forget the spiritual root of this conflict. For over a century, God has been moving and the Church has been expanding across Africa. In 1900, there were only 9.64 million Christians on the continent. Today there are over 692 million, and they are among the most committed Christians in the world. It is not surprising that Satan would inspire their ongoing persecution.   

For our Nigerian brothers and sisters, we can fight on two fronts. First, we must continue to lobby our government on their behalf, asking our officials to put pressure on Nigeria to take more decisive action against Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen. Second, we must lobby Heaven, for both our persecuted brothers and sisters and their persecutors, praying that God’s Kingdom would advance and win even the jihadis to Jesus.

The economic advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei and member of the Expediency Council, Ali Aghamohammadi, has said that annihilating Israel is the only way to save humanity.

Abortion killed millions more people than cancer and other infectious diseases in 2023, statistics reveal, as abortion was once again the leading cause of death worldwide, for at least the fifth year in a row, killing over 44 million unborn babies.

Statistics compiled by Worldometer, a database that tracks quantitative data on health, the global population and other metrics in real-time, show that more than 44.6 million abortions were performed worldwide in 2023 between 1 January and 31 December 2022 in total, around the world, making abortion the leading cause of death for humans.

Communicable diseases was named as the second leading cause of death worldwide, taking the lives of over 12.9 million people in 2023, while cancer and smoking were attributed to more than 8.2 million and 4.9 million deaths respectively.

Iran is no longer a Muslim nation, declares former Iranian Muslim Dr. Hormoz Shariat, who has broadcast the gospel into Iran for 23 years.

“I’m working with the people of Iran daily. I am in touch with them. I evangelize them. I answer their questions,” Dr. Hormoz says on a Voice of the Martyrs video on YouTube. “Iran is no longer an Islamic nation.”

Dr. Hormoz is the head of Iran Alive Ministries and founder of the largest Muslim convert church in the United States.

His audacious statement contradicts Iran’s official census data (which says the nation is 98% Muslim) but coincides with an online scientific survey which pegs the Muslim believers at 37 % (32.2% Shi’ite and 5% Sunni branches of Islam).

His declaration also runs counter to the perception of outsiders that Iran is a hostile extremist nation whipped into a furor to carry out the wrath of Allah.

But his observations are significant. As someone who interacts online daily with common people in Iran, he’s a man with his ear to the ground.

For years, Christian observers have speculated about wide scale revival in Iran based on scant data that emerges from Iran.

Dr. Hormoz’s assessment goes well beyond what has been previously reported and upends the way many view Iran. His observations may be useful when Christians pray for Iran.

However, his hopeful appraisal doesn’t necessarily mean there will be a change of government. The Iranian authorities suppress the population with an ironclad fist. The case of Syria is illustrative: while many heralded the downfall of the Syrian autocrat during the so-called “Arab Spring uprising” of the early 2010s, the dictator clung to power through brutal military repression.

Nor does the decline of Islam in Iran mean everyone is turning to Christ. According to the scientific survey only 1.5% of the current population identifies as Christian. Meanwhile, a whopping 22.2% say they adhere to no religion, while 8.8% classify themselves as atheists.

The cleric cautioned against listening to negative pronouncements about 2024, stating that the anointing that makes the year simple will fall on the people.

He wrote: “For many years you have heard prophecies over your life as you entered the new year and you exited without fulfilment.
