freeze001: The National Livestock Transfromation Program under the Office of the VP is one that had the buy-in of all state governors, had components for re-settlement of IDPs affected by the herdmen attacks and ranching under the supervision of interested state governments with the support of the FG. That had been approved and already in the pipeline and then out of the blues, the ruga crap almost ecliped the NLTP with focus only on settlements/grazing areas for cattle herders and with the full funding of the FG. This was a sudden departure from what the state governments had signed up to and that is why there were loud and firm refusals with states like Benue and Taraba actively rejecting the ruga b.s. There was an active plan to make it all about FG and fulani to the exclusion of others previously captured so people were awake and made their resistance very clear to the alien concept.
You have just been going on and on forgetting the finer details that have almost been obfuscated. Now the ruga nonsens was suspended and some group decides to threaten the FG and all Southerners that if ruga suspension is not reversed in 30 days and implemented in all states of the country ie no longer the so called option of voluntary subscription by interested states, they would embark on yet undisclosed line of action.
Tell me, how does this sound like the right thing to stand in support of? I wonder how you reason and perceive things truly. How many Southern states bought it? Cos you are sounding like Southern states ever welcomed anything about this issue. They rejected every option. History never forgets. I remember the "OUR LAND" slogan vivdly. And the "THEY SHOULD GO UP NORTH AND DO RANCHING? THEY HAVE ENOUGH LAND IN SAMBISA FOREST"Am just being fair here. Everybody region has a right to displace people of their choice. Asking why I support it, Common, am an analyst, when RUGA was shot down, I saw it coming as i was definitely bound it would play. So if people are not logical to come to the table for talks, dont you know conflicts will be bound. Thats what happens in a society where tribal, political and religious bigotry have eaten ALL of their brains. What else do you expect! Peace? |

countryfive: What are u saying? Don't u know we stand the risk of loosing our lands, love ones and everything that is ours by allowing this Ruga initiative to stand down south ,the initiative of ruga can't be trusted because of fg's motives If the motives of the FG cant be trusted, cant state governors counter it with favourable terms and conditions? I hope you read my points during RUGA debates on Nairaland. Ths issue was just politicised. Hate and tribal bigotry blocked many thinking faculties. But like the adage will say, "If you say peace is too expensive, then be ready to buy war". Matter was never approached logically and their was never a will or intent to even weigh the option by Southern governors. Not even for the sake of National Security and peace. |

mrgreen4real: Bro I believe the Fulani jihad history is the reason behind southern and some middle-belt states are rejecting the RUGA settlement. Make your research and you will deduce that what would happen in the future is the fear of that would start requesting to becoming indigenous pple of the state if settled thru RUGA system.
Mind you almost all tribes that are settled today migrated from somewhere. If the Fulani herdsmen were known for not having clashes with farmers and being kidnappers, I bet you many states would have accepted the RUGA settlement.
Even the typical hausa men are afraid of Fulani because they were conquered by Usman Danfodio.
The rejection of RUGA settlement is the beginning of wisdom. Nice composition! This is 2019 and a lot of things have changed. I told someone on this forum that nothing is too expensive for peace to reign and in the interest of National security. They let all hell lose "WITHOUT" proffering a fair and more logical resolution to counter RUGA. Insults and tantrums they could only offer. So as of date, I 100% buy the ultimatum the Northerners are dishing, if am to be fair and real. I will play same card too in business or any aspect of life. I go to the North and buy beef, And they come to the South and buy motor parts. That applies to every other commodity. #SIMPLE That was what was proposed, and now they have it. Am just pained some groups from the South are already shouting foul play. |

If I want to be fair and go by the recommendations of those that antagonised my humble and honourable self when I was in support of RUGA,
I will clearly state that the Ultimatum is well deserved. Many quoted me on Nairaland saying "RUGA should be done up North ONLY". Fine! And now they are also telling you to go trade in your region. Anybody that needs your product would come and buy in your region.
I think its fair with all honesty. If a Fulani or Hausa man is limited to trade in certain parts of the country, then I think other tribes should be limited to trading in there own region too.
I feel does that came for head when I was supporting RUGA can now find a better resolution to the impending doom that stares at us at present.

His Excellence, President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR) refuses to be deterred by gibberishes like the one composed above, that have been lucky to have made it to the media pages by incompetence of some quarters to give recognition to every long jargon's written to them.
I want to once again reinstate as a citizen of this Great country, That His Excellence, President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR) remains unshaken by ill compositions. Though constructive criticisms are welcomed. The above has failed to fall in that class and is worthy to be trashed to the bin.

Much Expected! Atiku/PDP calls
“From the day I nominated Atiku to be my vice, he set his mind not for any good, benefit or service of the country, but on furiously planning to upstage, supplant or remove me at all cost and to take my place."
“That was what I brought him for, but he was impatient and over-ambitious. He was not ready to learn and to wait. His marabout, who predicted that despite being elected as governor, he would not be sworn in as a governor, which happened, also assured him that he would take over from me in a matter of months rather than years."
“All his plans, appointments of people and his actions were towards the actualisation of his marabout’s prediction. Once I realised his intention and programme, I watched him like a hawk without giving any indication of what I knew and letting down my guard. I could not succumb to the distraction, diversion and malevolence of an ambitious but unwise deputy."
“The work in hand was more important than a confrontational relationship with my deputy, a man over whom I knew I had far more experience and outreach in all matters. To alert him of what I knew he was up to, would only lead to lying, denial, more mischievous plans and more duplicity on his part. "
“The work in hand was more important than a confrontational relationship with my deputy, a man over whom I knew I had far more experience and outreach in all matters. To alert him of what I knew he was up to, would only lead to lying, denial, more mischievous plans and more duplicity on his part. “He was better managed that way. What was important was not allowing myself to be surprised or outmanoeuvred by him. I must always seize the initiative and know what was going on if not in his mind, but at least in his camp. That I did very effectively."
“Sometime in the fourth quarter of 2004, an associate of Atiku came to my residence at the Aso Villa from Atiku’s official residence. He felt uncomfortable and I tried to make him feel at ease. Then, he settled to tell me the story of what had just transpired in Atiku’s residence. I listened with rapt attention"
“He went on to say that Atiku told him that for him to become the President of Nigeria, the 2007 elections were only a formality."
“The seven ingredients he needed for his enthronement were already in his hands. He controlled the National Assembly because both the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives were in his pocket. He controlled twenty-eight out of thirty-six governors. He had control of the media. His influence over the judiciary was overwhelming."
