Bro, how long do you think you can ignore pooshuh We are human, and we all have our break point. Even Obama fired back at Trump for going overboard. It's natural to react to distasteful/snide comments hurled at us at some point.

Shameless govt. That can't with stand criticism.

Shame on falana and others that are scheming this evil act.
Can you honestly answer this question. Why are the policemen not going to arrest Rivers/Akwa-Ibom/Enugu/Ondo state government officials?

Or they have not been critics of the APC led Federal government in anyway??

Scroll up and check what I posted earlier. You can also ask from people familiar with his first rule; opposition party in ekiti state died from series of harassment from Fayose and his thugs.

PoliticsRe: Lere Olayinka: Policemen Coming To Arrest Ekiti Government Officials by Benoy:
Lere Olayinka has not helped (and still not helping) Governor Fayose; instead of promoting good governance in ekiti state he's busy being a party spokesperson. Fayose with his past antecedents should be the last person making unwarranted noise on a daily basis, rather face the task of governing and making ekiti state better after being given a second chance. Anyone familiar with Fayose first term in Ekiti state would know he's more a dictator; muzzling every opposing voices. Main opposition party usually had their meetings while hiding and any time the location is known, thugs ll invade the venue and beat those in attendance to pulp. The only reason why he's not having it his own way is simply because he now belongs to the opposition party. Prior to when power changed hands, his men led thugs to invade court and harassed a sitting judge, it would have continued that way if PDP is at the centre. Let him reap what he had sowed in the past.

Yes, we sure are. But last I checked the title queen was supposed to be ceremonial right? And as for your question, what were you expecting? For Dygeasy or the other hosts to single out a winner? It's an online contest; we can't see each other physically, hence the need for all the campaigning and voting. But not to digress, we all know what a beauty pageant entails, be it online or not. Cheers!
Winners of Miss Nairaland and Mr Nairaland are determined SOLELY by votes, where contestants and their campaign groups solicit for supports/votes on the forum. That's it to show you it is quite different from the regular beauty pageant out there. Cheers

Okay my bad, I didn't realize her office was political. But to us who still see this as nothing but a beauty pageant, we are still going to say to the QUEEN to leave the campaigning for her team, it's a tad below her now. wink
So if its not political, why the campaign and be subjected to winning by votes in election rather than selectionhuh

You re entitled to your opinion as I am too..and I still maintain that as long as she's not the umpire nor one of the organizers of the contest, she has the right to support/campaign/vote for whoever she wants.

Lmao! Too much time abeg. But the real journey started after she was crowned queen. And in this situation, I think she should just stay neutral. It doesn't matter what her intentions are; people are always going to scrutinize and criticize her actions from now on. Campaigning or soliciting for votes is a tad below her office right now.
So you saying its a tad below the office of President Obama for campaigning for Hillary Clinton right??

Lanicky is not the umpire of this contest neither is she one of the organizers. She has every right to support/campaign/vote whoever she wants.

PoliticsCourt Fixes June 27 For Saraki, Others’ Arraignment For Forgery by Benoy(op): 10:45am On Jun 21, 2016
A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Jabi, Abuja, on Tuesday fixed June 21 for the arraignment of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, ‎and other defendants, on two counts of criminal conspiracy and forgery.

Justice Yusuf Halilu fixed the date after ordering substituted service of the charges on the defendants.
The order made by the court followed the complaint by the prosecution that several attempts of personal service on the defendants had failed.

Justice Halilu granting prosecution’s request for substitut‎ed service on the defendants on Tuesday, ordered that the charges be pasted on the notice board of the National Assembly.
Prosecuting counsel, Mr. David Kaswe, made the request for substituted service ‎orally on Tuesday.
He told the judge that the prosecution had deposed to affidavits showing the difficulty of the prosecution to serve the defendants personally.

He then urged the court to activate the provisions of section 123 and 124 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, which permits the court to order other means of service apart from personal service.

The judge, in a short ruling, agreed with the prosecution.
He said although the application for substituted service should have been made ex parte, he would allow Kaswe’s oral application “to fly” considering the need for the defendants to be aware of charges.
He then fixed June 27 for arraignment.

Court sources had earlier confirmed that non-service of the charges on the defendants would make it impossible for the trial to go on today.
Court officials who spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to speak on the case, confirmed to our correspondent at about 8am on Tuesday that the charges had yet to be served on the defendants.

One of court of officials said, “The case was assiged to the judge on Thursday. We tried to serve the defendants on Friday.
“Our bailiffs went to the National Assembly on Friday but because there was no sitting the defendants were not found to be served.
“On Monday, the bailiffs tried again but there was no sitting in the National Assembly, so the defendants could not be served.
“Had they been served before now, the matter would have come up for arraignment today (Tuesday).
“The hearing notice that was meant to be served along with the charges carried today’s date for arraignment.”

But the the Senate President will today appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal ‎for his ongoing trial on charges of false and anticipatory asset declaration.
The CCT shares a boundary with the FCT High Court in Jabi area of Abuja.
Saraki, Ekweremadu, a former Clerk to the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasu, and his deputy, Benedict Efeturi, were on June 10, charged with two counts of criminal conspiracy and forgery of the Standing Rules used for the leadership election of the presiding officers of the Senate in J‎une last year.

The Federal Government stated that the offence of conspiracy is punishable under Section 97 (1) of the Penal Code Act; and offence of forgery with “fraudulent intent” punishable under Section 364 of the same law.
It was alleged that the 2011 version of the Senate Orders was secretly altered by some individuals to produce the 2015 edition.
It was alleged that Rules 3(3)(e) and (k) in the 2015 edition of the orders were not amended in accordance with the provisions of Rule 110 (1)(2)(3)(4)(5) of the 2011 Orders.
While the 2011 Order Rule 3(3) (e) provides for manual voting and open ballot in the election of the Senate President and the Deputy Senate President, the 2015 Orders allows electronic and secret ballot voting in the said elections.

Also, while Rule 3(3)(k) of the 2011 Order makes it mandatory for all members to participate in the process of electing the Senate President and Deputy Senate President, the reverse is the case under the 2015 Orders.
The 2011 Orders, Rule 3(3)(k) reads, “All Senators-elect shall participate in the nomination and voting for President and Deputy President of the Senate.”

But a similar provision in Rule 3(3)(i) in the 2015 Orders reads, “All Senator-elect are entitled to participate in the voting for Senate President and Deputy Senate President.”

Meanwhile, the Code of Conduct Tribunal had on June 15 adjourned the trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, till June 21 (Tuesday).
Both the FCT High Court where Saraki and others will be appearing for the forgery case, and the CCT where the Senate President is already undergoing trial, share a boundary in Jabi area of Abuja.
The CCT had adjourned for the hearing of a fresh motion filed by Saraki seeking an order of the CCT disqualifying its Chairman, Danladi Umar, from further presiding over the case.

PoliticsRe: Ekiti Striking Workers Sell Personal Belongings To Survive by Benoy(op): 9:34pm On Jun 11, 2016
NigerDeltan:
Tinubu's sponsored propaganda... But i bet u their plan no go work
Must everything be a propagandahuh In a situation where both husband and wife are civil servant, how do you think they will cope with unpaid salaries of 5months...feeding, upkeep of their children, fulfil loan obligations etc.
PoliticsEkiti Striking Workers Sell Personal Belongings To Survive by Benoy(op): 8:26pm On Jun 11, 2016
The excruciating hardship occasioned by non-payment of five months salaries and allowances is forcing civil servants and teachers in Ekiti State to sell their personal belongings to survive. This is just as the federal government may have scripted another brand of bailout for states, as the economic crisis that worsened states’ ability to pay salaries and execute their respective budgets becomes gloomier with crude oil production short-ins.

Specifically, a conditional budget support facility, which would provide financial relief to state governments, is currently nearing completion by the federal government, but it would be subject to meeting a 22-point reform agenda called the Fiscal Sustainability Plan (FSP).

Some of the workers who had been on strike since May 25, this year to force the Ayo Fayose-led state government to pay them were seen at the popular Fayose Market disposing their phones to raise money for survival. Although most of them declined to speak on the matter, a few said that they had to resort to selling their phones and jewellery to raise money if only to feed for few weeks.

One Mrs. Tayo Adejumobi, who was seen negotiating the price of her used mobile handset at the market, said: “I am a civil servant, we have not been paid since January and I have children to cater for. “My husband is also a teacher. Both of us have not received salary since January. By this month end, government will owe us six months.
“I had sold my jewellery in February to raise money to pay the school fees of our daughter at Osun State University, Ikire campus. I have no choice now than to sell this phone. “I bought it last year at N35,000, but I have been begging these boys to buy it at N10,000. They insisted on buying it at N7,000. “I may not have choice than to remove my SIM card and sell it, because I can’t go home without money. My family is hungry. I will put my SIM in my husband handset, which uses two SIMs.”

She said what made her hope seemed hopeless was the “lackadaisical” attitude of the governor at resolving the crisis. “How would a governor tell the whole world that he is also on strike? This is an expensive joke, because he is playing with our emotions. And it is not fair,” she noted.

Mrs. Adejumobi also revealed that many civil servants have sold their cars and many looking for buyers in order to survive the hardship. She said: “Go to Similoluwa and Adebayo area, all the cars you see at the road side put up for sales are owned by civil servants and teachers. It is that bad.”

Another civil servant, who simply identified himself as Adejare, said he had just sold the furniture in his house to some Hausas at Sabo in Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti to raise some money to buy foodstuff. “I sold my furniture in April and the foodstuff I bought with the proceed is almost finished. I don’t know where to go now with four children and a wife.

“Please, help us beg the governor to do something about our plight. If he is ready to pay us two months, I am sure our labour leaders will call off the strike. “This is Ekiti State, where there is no factory to go for casual work to survive.”

But the Special Adviser to the Governor on Stomach Infrastructure, Sunday Anifowose, said the workers should not blackmail the governor over the hardship they are going through, because the situation is not peculiar to the state.
He said: “Though I am not competent to speak for the government, but this is a national issue, not peculiar to Ekiti State and workers should not blackmail the government.
