The origins still have the exclusive right just like every other state to protect their legitimate interest within the ambit of the law as it best suits their state as long as other peoples legitimate interests remain unaffected.

This is 21st century. The world has evolved. I am not saying the origins should be pushed aside but for the fact that Nigeria occupied that space b4 has made the state more dynamic and flexible. If Nigerians can go abroad and represent their locality, why can't the same be replicated on our own soil. The thing is, the right of the locals must not be usurped. Through consultation, a lot can be achieved

If nigerians can get political appointments in europe and america, i wonder why a hausa/fulani, yoruba or igbo man cannot get political appointment in anambra, kano or lagos state. And to the igbos seeking ethnic balancing through political appointments; can you imagine the fulanis or jorubas seeking same in enugu or anambra state and expecting your governors to grant these appointments?

Honestly speaking, with the status of Lagos every tribe in Nigeria should try their luck. We Yorubas are just fortunate that Lagos is in our region. It should be the state that champions our unity in diversity.

Don't you have your own view about things? So, that Mr Peter Obi acknowledged him as being excellent means he is actually excellence. We have different yardstick for measuring excellence. He was a deputy to a president that has almost drowned out economy. If he was a man of excellence as oppose opportunist and power drunk, why didn't he speak out or resign his position rather than watch things degenerated under a watch he was part of.

There is nothing excellent there. There is nothing excellent in keeping quiet and earning fat salary while things took turn for the worse

So, he actually went to court in a rush and forgot preparation. Southeasterners should start grooming somebody of note, dirty, tricky, stubborn, brilliant, smart, electable to represent the region in future national election because obi's political career is headed towards Atlantic Ocean.

The Labour Party crisis keeps expanding into different manifolds in the last couple of weeks. And the recent earthquake that is shaking the party is the emergence of the factional Chairman of the Labour Party, Calistus Okafor who was once the deputy National Chairman of the party. Calistus Okafor has stated in an interview with TVC360 that he has the power to withdraw the petition of the candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi if he does not regard him as the acting National Chairman

He stated that the party does not recognize Abure as the National Chairman because he was an acting National Secretary. According to him, going by the scheme of ranking the deputies are the next people to take over from the former National Chairman through a convention. He alleged that no convention was held to authenticate Abure as the National Chairman of the party.

He said, ''The Court suspended Abure and the same appeal court reinstated him. They left Federal High Court and went to the appeal court again, it's like they are very friendly to the Appeal court. But I'm already in Supreme Court, the Court will decide who is the authentic National Chairman.

But let this be clear, Abure is an acting National Secretary, and that he will remain until there is a convention, a well-constituted convention. For the moment, Labour Party doesn't have a Chairman, I'm the acting National Chairman, and I have the power to withdraw Peter Obi's petition if he does not regard me as Acting National Chairman. Abuse has no powers as an acting National secretary to do anything for Labour Party, Obi should know the right people to walk with.''

The case is a funny one as the judge didn't give any verdict on the case. He only said something close to "wasting of time by LP candidates"

I’m sure you have heard that the judge has denied issuing any such judgment.

The case you are citing was in Zamfara in 2019. And it was INEC that refused to accept APC candidates in Zamfara because they conducted their primaries outside the INEC Timetable. The court simply agreed with INEC.

Again it happened in Rivers after the Court agreed with Magnus Abe tendency of Rivers APC that they were excluded from the Primaries of APC in Rivers.

But these two cases were filed within 14 days of the occurrence of those events.

In Abia case, this individual woke up after 1 year to file the case. Who does that?

And that’s even asides the fact that the facts of the case are not the same.

Good defense but which aggrieved individual instituted the case in far away North? Yes, I heard what the judge said and I see his judgement as a banana skin that Otti must do everything both holy and unholy to avoid stepping on. The judge with his pronouncement has fuelled the opposition.

What I think is that the reminant of the case be transferred to Abia.
