Properties / Re: Sloppy Or Flat/Hidden Roof: Which Is Better? (Pictures) by bergs2: 8:25pm On Sep 03
Love800:
Someone here said the sloppy roof will suffer leakage, leading to spending money on maintenance.

Not true.
High roof gradient leads to low leakages.
Even if the roof is broken, you may observe low or no leakages as long as the roof gradient is high enough.
Properties / Re: Sloppy Or Flat/Hidden Roof: Which Is Better? (Pictures) by bergs2: 7:20am On Sep 03
Sloppy roof type.

Pros:
Low water retention
Low heat penetration as space in between is large
Contains more space for accessories like solar panels, water collectors, etc
In-between space could serve as storage unit.
Low long term maintenance cost
Noise cancellation effect

Cons:
High initial installation cost.
House looks bulky

Flat roof:

Pros.
Low initial installation cost
Better outlook and less bulky building

Cons.
High long term maintenance cost as Air conditioners are needed.
High water retention
High heat penetration
High noise effect as space/vacuum in-between very small.

Honestly, I made the high sloppy roof choice, even though it costs like x4 the installation cost unlike the flat roof type.

Africa needs to review it's current colonial era borders and reform them according to ethnicity

We should stop crying already; this is 2024. The rest of the world has moved on. Colonialism was part of human dominion over other humans. Africa too has colonized others before. Ethiopia was never colonized, what economic plans have they?
We should quit this consciousness of "victim" philosophy.

Moral of this story!!!!!
Africans enriched themselves by selling other Africans.
No one should blame the white man; that's what trade is for.
Religion / Re: I No Longer Have The Interest Of Going To Church Every Sunday, Any Help? by bergs2: 11:44am On Apr 07
EreluRoz:
I used to be a staunch church goer but gradually lost interest and always find one excuse or the other not to attend church service.

I actually lost interest when a certain young pastor was on my neck to date him, so it got to a point I had to stop attending service and ever since I've not been able to pick up.

How do I reawaken the zeal?

Would you also have ditched university education or going to Market if a "certain" lecturer or business man was also on your neck to date him?
Please, let's reconstruct and perish this warped narrative of assuming that the only institution to attack is the church.
NB: there's no perfect church anywhere; stop expecting that.

chiiraq802:
We have crude oil but no functional Refinery. So we exported our crude to other Countries for refining.

We still have crude oil and now we have Dangote Refinery. bt somehow Nigeria wants to start Importing Crude oil from Other Countries.

Lolss....9ja na cruise my guyy

Cruise indeed.
I don't know how to even explain to my children, that we had longed for a refinery, so we exported our crude, only for us to have an individual refinery and then instead of feeding crude stock to this individual project, they told this guy that crude no dey, so he's now importing crude.........
Indeed our God must be great.

And the card was wrapped in transparent nylon.
The era of almighty Nokia 3310, Sagem, Trium, Alcatel, Nec, open and close GSM phones.

Those years when Sim Card comes in a big pack with a voluminous manual and usually costs more than most handsets.

That period in time just a few million Nigerians could afford a GSM /Handset and maybe fewer could afford a sim card. Many people use to carry around dummy or spoiled phones to claim big boy.

You see people buy phones and then wait months to save up and buy a sim.

N200 then maybe worth N8,000 now or more.

Now, when you buy sim card, you'll get a phone free.
