Some of us Yoruba Christians are not that dumb to see through your deceits. we can see through your Islamic fanaticism and the desperation to look like Fulani, please your Fulani masters and sell Yoruba on the plater of religion. You Yoruba Moslems are nothing but slaves and it shall never be well with all you saboteurs for brining this shame and ridicule to Yoruba. This is a costly mistake that people outside will use to taunt us forever.
how can a royalty desecrate the tradition and history of his own people, ass lick the Fulani and embrace the emir title. he went further by declaring an Hausa the waziri of Yoruba land...who does that? if not a stupid, accursed Yoruba muslim slave. Yoruba Muslims are the useful idiots, accursed slaves FFK talked about.

he governor’s spokesman said Ishaku had always raised the alarm on security situations in the state, but was always ignored.
He said, “On January 30, this year, The governor wrote another letter to the Vice President to again complain about the attitude of the Commanding Officer of 93 Battalion, Takum, Lt. Col. Ibrahim Gambari, whose soldiers always looked the other way when the herdsmen militia come to kill.
“The governor said the security situation in the country and in Taraba State demanded that every security officer cooperate and take directives from the chief security officer of the state which is the governor, but lamented that this has not been the case with the commanding officer.
“The letter listed instances of security challenges in which the military failed to live up to expectations.
“The letter also alerted the military authorities to a planned massive movement of Fulani and their cows into Takum LGA, adding that motive was to provoke the people and precipitate crisis. The military in-charge of security in the area did nothing.
“The widely publicised report on social media and which was investigated and confirmed to the effect that a chopper dropped arms in a village near Wukari was downplayed by the security agencies.
“Despite efforts by the Taraba State Government to get the military to act, they never did. Since then, the arms and ammunition brought into the state have been used against the people in various communities in the state by the herdsmen. |

Politics › Re: Finally, Dino Melaye Meets His Nemesis by BERNIMOORE: 12:29pm On Mar 27, 2018 |
[s] Finally, Dino Melaye meets his nemesis guardian.ng
The name Dino Melaye or simply called, Dino, gained unparalleled and national attention when the man was in the House of Representatives. It is a name that became associated with brigandage, rascality and unimaginable notoriety. Indeed, mischief could be said to be another word you could never dismiss each time the name is mentioned.
Of course, those who were with him in the Ahmed Bello University (ABU), Zaria where he was mainly regarded and treated as a “hired thug” knew the heights the man could go to achieve his objective. But most of his fellow students in the university thought they had seen the worst of the “hired thug” then.
It was therefore a great surprise to see their ex-student in the House of Representatives displaying the same pranks for which he was very notorious in the university. Their surprise knew no bounds when they further discovered that there was no letting up in his capacity for mischief.
It was not difficult to spot Dino in a crowd, let alone in the House of Representatives. If he was not raising frivolous “point of order”, he was quarrelling with a colleague, or he was engaging in fisticuffs in the legislative chamber. And he had no scruples descending into the arena once things are not going in his way. He was a poster boy without shame!
No one gave him a chance to return to the House let alone being elevated to the upper legislative chamber. But, he joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) which gave him ticket to run for the Senate. And he ‘won’ against all odds. Perhaps, it was the APC bandwagon effect that enabled him to win.
Interestingly, Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial District has not changed his trademark spots. Instead, he has continued to grow in leaps and bounds, making him the “jester in chief” of the upper legislative chamber, with a predilection towards mischief of all sorts. His DNA remains constant as the Northern star.
Undoubtedly, President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki and the leadership of the Senate have found him very useful each time there is a proxy war to be fought. They simply deploy Dino as a hired goon to take on anyone, including Senators seeking to undermine principal officers of the upper chamber. Our man could be said to have assumed a larger than life stature. Little did he know his nemesis was lurking in the corner.
Of course, there was no way Dino could have predicted or imagined that he would find his match in Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State. Neither could he have thought that anyone, let alone a man he campaigned for and was the master of ceremonies at his inauguration, would end to be his albatross.
But, Governor Bello has repeatedly outwitted the Kogi West Senator as far as supremacy battle is concerned. In fact, the relatively young Chief Executive may well preside over the political demise of our dear Dino unless reason prevails and the latter retraces his steps.
It is true that Senator Dino Melaye was one of those who backed Yahaya Bello after the sudden death of Alhaji Abubakar Audu for the governorship ticket of the APC in Kogi State. This support, has interestingly made Dino to consider himself a benefactor of the governor.
Unfortunately, the governor has rightly refused to submit to the leadership of the Senator, giving that the former is actually the leader of APC in Kogi apart from being the Chief Security Officer of the state. This has led to a game of wits between the two.
Although the governor has refused to admit his role in the recent travails of the Senator, it is obvious that he is the puppeteer behind the attempt to finally rubbish Dino’s political career. And there seems to be no end to the unfolding quagmire confronting our man, Dino.
One of the predicaments that Dino has to contend with is the attempt by the people of Kogi West Senatorial District, his constituents, to have him recalled from the National Assembly. Despite efforts by Dino to stop Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from triggering the recall process, he has not been able to do so. In fact, the Court of Appeal has given the nod to INEC to commence the recall.
Then there is the arraignment of Melaye for unlawful possession of arms and alleged kidnapping based on a ‘confession’ by suspects claimed to be members of his gang. As political as the charges seem, it is difficult to see how the man can entirely be absolved for the said crimes especially with the unresolved case of the murder of one Mr. Victor Obafaiye, a principal witness for the Action Congress in the Kogi State Election Tribunal who was said to be in possession of documents that might have shown that Melaye tampered with election results but was murdered before he could appear in court to testify, according to a report monitored on Sahara Reporters.
By and large, it is obvious that Governor Bello has a bag of wits with which he has effectively curtailed Senator Dino Melaye’s machinations, especially as it concerns Kogi State. Despite outright denials and sometimes mute response from the governor, it is clear that he is ahead of the plot to finally retire the loquacious Senator unless party elders intervene early.
Undoubtedly, Dino has finally met his match. No one knows who will triumph in the end. But for now, the governor has the head start. It is almost impossible to see how the Senator could turn the tables around. The cookie is on a roller coaster for Dino and no one seems interested to help.

greggng: I think your problem is comprehension. If there was cease fire btw bokoharam and the gov't or military, such is expected to be respected . But if one party decides not to respect the terms, then that calls for renegotiation of the terms. Boko haram did not respect the cease fire agreement, they used the opportunity to kidnap the children. Having done that , the agreement has been broken.....to return those kids require fresh assurance that nothing will happen to them. As far as this matter is concerning boko haram is holding us at the scrotum. Any mistake they could cause harm to it. Whichever tactics they Nigeria authority are gonna implore towards recovering this girl's will be a welcome development. Although I agree to some extent on the issue of money exchanging hands. Politics › Re: Why I Disagree With Bill Gates On Nigeria Economic Recovery Growth Plan. by BERNIMOORE: 7:35am On Mar 23, 2018 |
Rubbish bill gates is a world richest man, nobody knows you, so IF YOU NO GET MONEY HIDE YOUR FACE, stop defending buharis clueless ness just because you are a blind follower life2017: I[s] consider Bill gates opinion as opinion base on Nice to have which does not conform to the reality on ground in Nigeria.
Human capital development is a good thing. So also is Infrastructural development a good thing. While Bill gates believe human capital should be the priority, the federal govt Economic growth plan believes the most critical thing Nigeria needs now is infrastructural development. I strongly believe that to grow human capital, u need good economy.
Let's look at it in Nigeria context. There is currently huge enemployment in Nigeria. There is unemployment even among those who went abroad such as UK, US etc to study before returning back to Nigeria. Which means even among few well developed human capital (Well educated youths) in Nigeria, there is lack of opportunity for them to utilise all the resources that have be spent developing their human capital.
America govt with a population of 326 million people spend about 700billion dollars( 210 trillion Naira) a year for their K-12 education. American K 12 is Nigeria primary and secondary school. Nigeria has a population of 200million people. Which means if we are to follow America full step we should be spending 130 trillion Naira a year for only primary and secondary education.
Nigeria full annual budget is less than 9 trillion Naira. That is the budget for defence, agriculture, Salaries, health, education etc. Which mean if Nigeria is to stop paying civil servant, stop paying army, etc we cannot even achieve 10% of what is required for primary and secondary school education by America standard.
What does that tell us? It means the country is too poor to develop it's human capacity effectively.
What is the way forward? Nigeria like every other poor country must first all develop it's economy before it can better fund human capital development. Human capital development cannot be achieved by wishful thinking. it involves huge investment . U need good economy to fund good human capital development. Yes good human capital will help to further develop the economy.
Sometimes this issue is like an arguments of Chicken and Egg which came first.[/s] |

Politics › Re: The Lies & Petulance Of Abimbola Adelakun’s Latest Tantrum by BERNIMOORE: 6:22pm On Mar 22, 2018 |
murecool: [s]Abimbola Adelakun’s opinion ‘Osinbajo confirms Buhari’s impotence’ in The Punch newspaper got me laughing until I dropped a tear. It was no different from Donald Trump’s position on Climate Change, ‘a hoax’. Don’t get me wrong, it is her opinion but its that of a kid to say the least. It is an opinion without facts and figures, and one with very little intelligence put into it.
For starters, even the ‘Father’ of all critics, former president Olusegun Obasanjo admitted in his rather long open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari that the incumbent president has fought corruption since he emerged as president in 2015. To think that one Abimbola, would blame her anger, failings and inadequacies solely on the government is a shame and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Her opinion was very one-sided, her choice of topic deceptive and her content was very flat. To go about saying Buhari has not fought corruption is a joke, a big one at that. Even kids in Nigeria could not help laughing when the former PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh turned up in court on a stretcher and wheel chair. The anti-corruption fight by Buhari had made him sick.
But he’s not the only one who has fallen ill or has been down with some form of ailment or disease since Buhari’s anti-corruption began. Add to the list, former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode; former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke; former minister of finance (state) Nenadi Usman; former NNPC GMD, Andrew Yakubu; former Chief if Air Staff, Umar Dikko; former head of service Stephen Oronsaye; former special adviser to Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs, Kingsley Kuku to mention a few. That does not include those who have fled the country like the former minister Diezani, Comptroller-General of Nigerian Customs Service Abdullahi Dikko Inde and others like him. If Buhari have failed to fight corruption, how exactly was Ibrahim Magu, acting EFCC chairman able to state categorically that the agency recovered a whooping N473 billion in 2017 alone. He even gave a breakdown of how the monies were recovered and in what currencies. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammadu Buhari “Magu added that other funds recovered in foreign currencies were $98.2m; £294,851; Dirham 443,400; and South African Rand 70, 500.” He told the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes that final forfeiture of N32bn and $5m recovered from the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, had been secured for the Federal Government. He added, “Recovery and final forfeiture of N449m discovered at Legico Plaza in Victoria Island, Lagos. Final forfeiture of $43m discovered in the Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos; recovery of over N329bn from petroleum marketers by the commission’s Kano office; withholding tax recovery of over N27.7bn from banks; recovery of over €6.6m from the Nigerian Port Authority; recoveries of about N1.1bn on behalf of AMCON and recovery of subsidy fraud of over N4bn.” To show his intent to bring corruption to a halt, Buhari’s government introduced a sweetener, the Whistleblowing Policy. In 2017, Finance minister, Kemi Adeosun said the Nigerian government has paid more than 20 whistleblowers since the policy was introduced in 2016 as part of initiatives against corruption. She said the government released about N375.8 million for payment of 20 whistleblowers who provided information that led to the recovery over N11.6 billion. If that is not fighting corruption, what is? To refresh your memory, I will mention some corruption cases that took place during Buhari’s administration while you were sleepwalking. Patience Jonathan – The former first lady claimed ownership of five Skye Bank accounts with billions of naira deposited in them. She even went to court to order the EFCC to un-freeze the bank accounts, adding that it was a violation of her fundamental human rights. But there’s a new sheriff in town, President Buhari, the anti-corruption fighter. You can Google how that story went, that’s away from hanging out with Peter Pan. Many have falsely claimed that Buhari’s anti-corruption fight have been directed solely at the opposition but even the Senate President, Bukola Saraki is caught in the web of his cleansing campaign. Saraki is still facing the law for false assets declaration. Saraki tried to fight it but the Supreme Court dismissed Saraki’s application challenging the jurisdiction of the CCT to try him. And there is Sambo Dasuki. The former National Security Adviser (NSA) was said to have diverted and supervised the disbursement of over $2.1b to various individuals for the reelection of Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. The funds however were meant for the purchase of arms for the Nigerian Army to prosecute its war against Boko Haram. Alex Badeh has also been tried for anti-corruption given his role in plundering the country. The former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) bought a N320m house for his 28 year-old son and another N260m for his first son in the highbrow area of Wuse in Abuja. The houses are just part of the many properties Badeh used the over N800m which he siphoned from the military coffers, to purchase. The former CDS willingly gave up $1million found in his bedroom by EFCC officials at the heat of the anti-corruption trial. The anti-corruption beam fell on Patrick Akpobolokemi as well. The former NIMASA boss was one of the most reported former government officials who stole money. Akpobolokemi reportedly looted over N12b from NIMASA, using various companies to perfect his trade. He has been forced to give up some of these monies and his case his ongoing. Media mogul, Raymond Dokpesi was picked by the EFCC for his role in enjoying the largesse of the national treasury. According to reports, N2.1b was paid to Dokpesi by the Central Bank of Nigeria on the orders of the former National Security Adviser (NSA). Abimbola Adelakun needs to stop living in Peter Pan’s world. The anti-corruption fight is real and I will advise that people like Abimbola and their cronies watch their back because the anti-corruption train is gliding through town. But to the intelligent Nigerians its no news! They already predicted it, Nigerian's just woke up from their slumber and swung into suspicious prediction using the logic of what actually transpired before the abduction, the election timing too was another suspicion that could make this a fresh drama to earn 'cheap trust' from Nigerians taking Nigerians for a fool
